This CVS used to be much nicer with helpful and friendly employees who welcomed customers. Now it's the opposite. I also dislike the organization of this store now. In the past, it was much more organized and easier to navigate. All the aisles now are just so packed or close together. I don't understand how come they are always so low on shopping carts and baskets lately. Back in the heydays of this store there was always at least five to seven carts in the cart dispenser and plenty of baskets for the customer's shopping convenience and efficiency. Every time I come in here now there are zero carts and baskets. WHAT IF PEOPLE NEED TO BUY MANY ITEMS ESPECIALLY LARGE ITEMS LIKE PACKS OF WATER OR SODA?? This definitely shows that they don't care about their customers anymore, it's just about business and making money. The cashiers too give very poor service. They don't even say hello, smile or talk to you in a nice and friendly tone anymore unlike the workers from past years. It's sad that all of them don't work here anymore and were replaced with workers who don't really care about the customers--just getting their money, that's all. Moreover, if you ask them for help to find something, it's like you're bothering them. If that's how they treat their customers then they shouldn't be in that line of work. I've been coming here for years, even when it was still Sav-On drugs when it was still quality service, sadly now this store has hit rock bottom. Worst CVS I've ever been to in my entire life. . Yes. You read that right. The night crew two nights ago were horrendous and refused to give me a refund when it's been within 15 days since purchase. They were so rude and caused a scene in front of customers as all three attempted to gang up on me. Who does that? Other customers saw and were shocked and even one approached me afterwards asking what was wrong with them. Awful. The worst place and when I asked them if they knew corporate policies for returns they said just do it at Lakewood or whatever. Really? Awful. It is unfortunate that you have to endure this pharmacy's verbal abuse just to get the medication that you need to stay alive. The RX manager ANGELA NGUYEN is rude and unprofessional. There was only 2 customers in line before 1130 and she refused to assist us with picking up our medication. She let me know that she would have me escorted out as I explained I wouldn't be able to pick the medication up after 12 because I had work and that I was picking up pain reliever. She is extremely rude and definitely should not be working in any environment dealing with customers. read more

I should have read the reviews, but when you get a last minute prescription after 1am you have to find a 24/hr pharmacy. Unfortunately, there were none nearby, and I chose this one. I had to drive about 20 minutes but I was willing because I needed it. While I was In the store, I grabbed some vitamins before I went to see the pharmacist. By the time I had my items (maybe 5 min of looking around) I went to the pharmacy desk and they were closed. I was so confused as this was a 24/hr pharmacy and the signs said so as well. I asked an employee working on the floor and she said "oh they just closed one minute ago for lunch". No store announcement, nothing. So I still purchased my items and went to my car and called. The tech that answered rudely said I needed to wait until the pharmacist got back at 3:15am. It was already 2:00am btw. So I asked if they'd just let me pay for my prescription that just got sent in 30 min before because I needed it and I don't live close. The tech said they'd stay closed and I would just have to wait or call my "local pharmacy" and have it transferred. It's already 2am if I could've stayed local don't you think I would have?! So he told me to call another 24hr pharmacy and have it transferred. The next closest was another 15-20 min away. I called and that pharmacist said he would help, but the Carson CVS had already taken my payment. I then had to call BACK to the unhelpful tech to ask him to release my payment so that someone could help me. I finally drove to the other CVS, got my medications, and was back home by 3am, when I would have still been waiting for the 24hr pharmacy to open back up from lunch. We all have to take lunches...I work a job with 24hr shifts. I get it. But at least you could make a store announcement so others would know to get their prescription before you lock up. Not leaving people In agony for over an hour while you snack. It's just common courtesy, which they do not have. read more

I can describe this store in just one word: expensive. For example, a bottle of vitamin water cost $1.79 here. You can find this same item on sale for $1.19 at other places. That alone tells you how expensive this place is. The insouciance of the workers here are quite profound. While I was foraging for supplies, there was this annoying beeping noise reverberating throughout the store. None of the employees did anything about it. If you need some medicine or random groceries, I would advise you to visit a Walgreens instead. read more

I use this CVS location as it is the closest one to me. I only use it to pick up my recurring monthly prescriptions which are on auto-fill. During normal work hours the pickup lines are always very long and expect to wait about 20-25 minutes in line before you are attended to. They will not bother to open up additional counters even when they see that a long line has formed. The pharmacists at the counter are a sad bunch and seem to have a permanent frown tattooed on their faces. This location does not have a minute clinic so if you have to use that you have to go to the CVS at Anza Ave and PCH. I haven't bought anything off their shelves so can't comment on that aspect of the pharmacy. In a nutshell if I was not this lazy I would have already moved to the nearest Walgreens. read more

Their website says they have items then the don't have it. I've wasted an hour of my life chasing down a particular item at CVS.

Pharmacy lead technician Angie was the one who "helped" me out. First I'd like to say that I regularly visit this pharmacy for my medication and is usually treated very well, especially with any questions or concerns I had, but today, when I came into to pick up medication, I was already greeted with a bad attitude. She talked so nicely to the gentleman ahead of me but once I reached the counter, a condescending attitude was displayed. She talked to me as if she look down on me. Even with the simple questions she asked, and my simple answers, it's like she felt to correct every small detail. Even when I told her what my birthday was, it sounded like she was irritated that I said the number instead of the actual word for the month. That aside, she proceeded to ask about my address, "do you still live on ____ street?" The address she said was not the address I gave for my file. I have never lived on, or anywhere near, the address she claimed was "mine." Then she kept telling me she was gonna merge my "other" account together. I repeatedly told her that I don't have another account and if she could please double check the info on the account she was claimed was mine. She talked over me numerous times when I tried to explain that I only have 1 account and that the info she claimed was mine was ALL wrong. After 10 minutes of her talking over me, I could not stand it anymore. I told her one last time to please check that other account because I do not want some random person's information and medical information merged with mine. After insisting one last time, 2 minutes of silence goes by. She quickly switched her attitude. In a nicer tone she said, "oh she had the same birthday as you, that's why!" Same birthday? The name of the person was not the same and I repeatedly said that the information was not mine and did not match the information I registered with. She claimed that she did not proceed with the merge and I went on to wait for my medication. As I waited, I had a feeling that all this confusion was not over. I returned to the front to pick up my medication and a different pharmacist was there to release my meds. I explained to this new pharmacist what my conversation with Angie consisted of and asked if she could double check if the merge went through. To which she replied "oh so you didn't want to merge them?" Meaning that Angie PROCEEDED with the merge even after reassuring me that it would not happen!!! After hearing this and exposing to the new pharmacist my situation again, she said she would take care of it. I hope CVS would read this lengthy review because ANGIE nearly merged a random persons account with mine and I hope they would re-educate and re-train her in her customer service skills. read more

This is my go to CVS so I'm sad to see it go down like this. It seems sense the management has changed that the store is a complete and utter wreck to say the least. I visited the store yesterday to pick up some prescriptions from the pharmacy. Soon as I get out of my car walk halfway to the door there's a pile of Dookie right in front of the window. Now I can't tell you if it was dog or human ,what I can say is it wasn't no damn chocolate and it stank really bad. I literally ran in the store because that was disgusting and I was disgusted period. Soon as I inter the store I see two employees talk literally right at the window we're the Dookie was. I know they saw it before I did you couldn't miss it. I asked them if I could speak with the manager of the store. The Latina lady quickly said she was the manager and I explained to her the Poop situation right outside by the window. She said ok we will get it up. I was fumbling in my purse for my phone and when I looked up they were both ghosted on me.Turns out they were the managers and there were just having a personal chat not store business. I went to the pharmacy to get prescriptions and I was there about 15 minutes. It was so nasty back there trash everywhere all under the chairs. It was not good especially with this Covid-19 stuff going around. The disorder and not being clean can spread more of the disease and virus around. That's way I was like y'all need to get this CVS together. It's were we go to get medicine and some food and care items CVS has got to do bette. That's why the numbers in Carson Ca are rising. I tired to call the store once outside to say the stank Poop was still out there but the phone just rang. I hope the uppers at CVS are reading this yelp. I might not ever visit this store again take my prescriptions and my business else were.I didn't get the lady's name but she worked on 6/28/20 around 3:36pm. I wish I could give this place 0 stars.. pharmacy is full of rude staff and the pharmacists do not care for people's well being or filling proper medications written by a doctor. Every CVS I have been to in CA is pretty bad but this pharmacy is actually the worst. I feel judged by them and will not be coming back. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR YOUR RX! Every time i go to no avail they always find somthing wrong with your prescription and deny filling it. They actively work AGAINST YOU to not fill out your Rx. Only people of their some race are treated nicely and on a first name basis even. read more

"Crabs in a barrel". I needed some cash from the ATM so I stopped in this CVS. When I walked in the ATM was close to the entry. No one greeted me, and I am okay with that until what happened about five times in the next few minutes. The store clerk greeted everyone (non person of color) that came in after me. I decided to confirm what I had already suspected because of how common this situation is in America and especially the Los Angeles area. I didn't need to purchase anything but to test my theory that this is a race thing I decided to walk towards the store clerk to give her a chance to disprove what I already knew. As I walked towards her, she quickly got up from a lower shelf she was working on and walked away. Just then a young Indian clerk smiled at me and said good morning. I then smiled as well, greeted him, thanked him and added the point that I was happy someone greeted me. For him and her to know all that racism the female clerk presented. I had to pick up my son medication at this location and the pharmacist who helped us was nice and friendly she explained that my wait time would be 1 hr which I didn't mind because my husband would come back to pick it up lol but she spoke to the md right there on the spot and took her time to get the order. And the wait time was before 1 hr. Yes this place is busy that's why it's open 24 hrs so for those of you complaining it will also help to stop by the store so you can see how much the staff is trying to help everyone . Worst CVS. I wish I can give this place 0 stars. Yesterday, my daughter and her friend were harassed by the lady security guard over an assumption that the two were "making fun of her walk." When in reality, they were just talking about how uncomfortable they felt because of how the security guard kept staring at them intently and even made the effort to follow them around the store. These are nice teenage girls who would NEVER make fun of a stranger about their appearance. Has the security guard ever heard of coping mechanisms? They were uncomfortable and poked a joke that the lady probably thought they were stealing. This security guard clearly let these two young girls make the guard feel insecure for absolutely no reason, to the point of finding them again in the store and confronting them about it...(?!?) I hope that made the lady feel good about herself to try scaring some teen girls over an assumption that was clearly rooted from insecurity. Focusing on harmless teen girls holding a toy and some chocolates than her actual job... nice. Not to mention that the lady told the girls to "have a nice shopping experience" in a sarcastic tone after accusing them of something they didn't do. The lady completely ruined their shopping experience, and honestly their whole day. The guard did not even let the girls explain and resolve the misunderstanding. This minor issue could have easily been solved but the "adult" in the situation decided to act like a petty, low self-esteem child. Would the security guard confront these girls at all if I were there? Probably not. Bully someone your own age! read more

WORST CVS in the area for customer service & one of the worst in terms of product availability. It seems like the shelves are never restocked or cleaned up. There's always a line. I work in retail and I understand that not everyone is/can operate the register... but it's really frustrating when you know there's high foot traffic and the only cashier isn't calling for back up. Only 24 hour CVS in Carson so you can't really be too picky with CVS although I prefer the CVS on Main & Sepulveda-- neater/more stocked & nicer workers. read more

Pharmacist Phillip Do gave AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE to me. I filled my rx at a CVS nearby and was confused about which one was which. Phillip told me that the OTHER CVS had my rx ready, but that location's pharmacy was already closed. He then did something awesome....he asked if I needed to take my medication right away!!! Yes, I needed it right away. He transferred my rx from the other CVS location to this one, and presto! I got my rx.... ALSO, I HAD A COUPON that was in the car but I was already at check out... Then they tell me to call, so I don't have to make a wasted trip, and they don't answer their phone...on hold for 20 minutes, while I drove here. Then worker tells me to go back and stand in the other line to "drop off" my prescription?!?! Told her no, I dropped it off a week ago, which was a week after they said they would order it. Horrible experience. It took twice as long to get a prescription as it did to have a dentist appointment and tooth extraction. Inept and ride people at the pharmacy. Waited 20 minutes in 1 line, sent to another 20- minute wait long to hear my insurance wouldn't cover this, i said fine Ill pat cash and was told it would be -- you guessed it--20 minutes. One time I had to buy chocolates for my group as part of my presentation, but I slacked off the day before, so when I finally remembered it, it was 5:30 am the day of the presentation and I had to be there by 7:00 am!! So I thought to myself, "There're no stores open that early.... crap!" So I shower and think about it, and when I got dressed and ready, I prepared to go to Ralphs, cuz that one's open 24hrs too I think (i hoped), but as I'm driving there, I notice the big red sign and... duh!!! It's like a 15 sec drive from my house!! What was I thinking heading all the way to Ralphs when this is so convenient! THIS CVS NEEDS TO BE CLOSED DOWN!!!! AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!!!!!!! The only reason I gave it 1 star is because Yelp requires you to. 1. I have NEVER met ONE nice employee at this location... NOT. ONE!!! Cashier or Pharmacy agent... NO ONE!!!! 2. It takes a MINIMUM of 25-30 minutes to check out whether you are 2nd or 13th in line... NO EXAGGERATION!!!!! 3. CVS is a multibillion dollar company but REFUSES to update their computers (this is COMPANY WIDE). 4. AGAIN, the employees are NOT courteous!! You will wait in line with no one at the register, no explanation, no apology, no "someone will be right with you", NOTHING. And if you try to be a decent human being & politely ask if someone is coming to help you, you get MAJOR attitude & guess what else?! NO HELP!!!!!! 5. The WOMEN at this location prioritize gossiping over helping the customer. I've stood in numerous lines with the women behind the counter talking about coworkers, baby daddies, ugly men, the whole shebang. ANNOYING!!!!! Then when the line gets longer, they attempt to start helping people. Smh!!! 6. The floor & shelves are ALWAYS dirty & dust is EVERYWHERE!!!!!
