After lunch, I decided on CVS because I am a member of the Loyalty Program. At home in Hawaii, CVS retained its name of Longs Drugs Store... LOL! I searched the aisles and was about to give up. I don't like to ask employees. I enjoy finding things on my own. I tried the front of the store first, then the stationary section. My last hope was the souvenir department... Voila!!! Conveniently located on the main road, free parking lot that always has spots, and a plethora of goodies inside that are 9 times out of 10 less expensive than a lot of other places. (For instance, I price checked at least 5 items I buy at the grocery store - they were all cheaper here). Holiday appropriate. Also has a few Seattle/PNW-themed souvenirs. Food, drink, pharmacy. Staff was pleasant and quick to go to the register when we were ready. read more

Worst pharmacy and drug store in the state of Washington. Ghetto af, looks like a ghost store cause of all the thieves. Don't even get me started on the pharmacist that work here. If you want your meds on time and correctly DO NOT COME HERE. Been taking the same meds for 3 years now and they always been late or I have to contact my doctor and it's only on there end cause I have been to several different pharmacies and never had these problems. Have missed several doses of several medications because it's a "oops my bad" I didn't see that or notice so I have to pick it up late and they do not give af very careless. Completely abysmal service. The phone won't even give you the option to talk to a human anymore. It literally only allows you to leave a voicemail. Completely ridiculous. It would be less galling if they actually called you. I had a med put in needing insurance pre-auth, and once that authorization occurred, it's been sitting in limbo for ten days. So much attitude at this CVS. I came here to print a magnet and the two associates who worked here clearly hate their jobs. It's clear they are annoyed and gave me so much negative attitude that I felt personally victimized. I got an email saying my magnet was ready and when I arrived, the associate working the front (Pam) just stares at me. She doesn't ask me how she can help. I explain I have a photo pickup. She does not respond. I say,"I have an email confirmation if you need it." Her reply,"I don't need it what's your name." The email clearly states I needed to give them the order ID in order to pick up. She looks around for it and can't find it, then uses the intercom for another associate to help. 2nd associate comes and tries to look for my order. I repeat that I have an email confirmation and he brushes it away saying,"All our customer orders got deleted. You'll need to reprint it at the kiosk." I spend a couple minutes at the kiosk and patiently wait for the associate to come back. The guy looks at the receipt and says,"I said to do a 4x6 you did a 5x5" clearly annoyed at me that I did not pay attention to directions when the kiosk only gave me a 4x6 option for the magnet. I said forget it it's clearly too much trouble for both you and me (waste of my time for what should've been a less than a minute pickup). I'll never come here again. How hard is it to be nice to your customers? Management needs to retrain or fire these clearly disgruntled employees. read more

The people at this pharmacy are terrible. They are very racist and rude. Don't fill up your prescriptions here if you're a person of color- you'll get the runaround and be made to wait hours or have to come back multiple times. Estos son bien racistas. In general, I like CVS. I used to go more often when I lived on the east coast, but right now I don't live near one. I got both of my COVID-19 vaccine shots at the CVS in Burien, so this review is mostly about that. I made my appointment online and their website is actually pretty good. The appointments get booked pretty quickly, but just keep checking (especially really early in the morning, like 3 - 4 AM). I had to fill out a ton of insurance info, but I did get an appointment and it also had me schedule the second one in advance (which gave me peace of mind). Before each appointment, CVS sent me e-mail and text reminders, which was helpful. A few hours before your appointment, they will text you a link to check in. You can check in 15 minutes before your appointment time (no earlier). This particular CVS store is really big and they have a huge parking lot. It was super easy to get to. There is a check in desk right when you walk into the store, so you can't miss it. The lady there (who I assume is some kind of volunteer) was super nice. She checked my Driver's License and filled out my vaccine card. After check in, you stand in a short line and wait for the next available pharmacist (there are two). When it is your turn, they will ask you a few screening questions and take your temperature. This particular location is only offering the Pfizer vaccine. I hardly felt the shot itself. It is a tiny amount of liquid (less than a flu shot) and the needle is really thin. Afterwards, there are some chairs where you should sit for 15 minutes in case there are any side effects. I thought everything went pretty smoothly, but they only e-mailed me a confirmation of the first vaccine shot and not the second. I guess I do have the paper vaccine card, but I wish they had done both. Also, the claims for my shots look kinda funky. I went on the same days as my husband and we have the same insurance plan, but they were billed differently (medical vs pharmacy, different costs). I guess I don't care too much since I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket, but it is really weird. read more

Had to use this pharmacy not by choice. I had to deal with the most racist Asian pharmacist ladies, had to deal with her last month too. Went in to pick up script because txt said was delivered to the store. Went in and ladies with attitude ( pharmacist by the name of Gift) said no not here. Told her and showed her txt that it was. She got even worse of attitude and said no not here. Asked her if they would call or text when it was ready and she got even worse of attitude and said we don't do that notify people. I kept my composer because I couldn't afford to have my life saving script held hostage. I drove home and soon as I got there which was only 15 minutes,I received a text saying your script is ready for pick up. I believe I was treated in a racist manner. I will never use a CVS because pharmacist Gift ( that was her name ) is allowed to be racist. I was treated in the same racist manner last month also. We are all equal and should not be discriminated against, especially when we all need our medicine for life saving health reasons. read more

Everything is miss marked. Buying something that is priced 15.99 on the tag and rings up 19.99 when I say something they said they'll change the tag . I asked them to look and honor the price on the tag and they shrugged their shoulders. So thats cool‍ The isle were filled with unstocked merchandise waiting to placed on the floor. I very recently came here for a Covid test through their drive-through pharmacy area. The store associate who helped me was very polite and efficient. I was able to quickly get my test done and submit my specimen. I had absolutely no problem at all and the process was so easy. Even better, my daughter is also used to taking Covid test and so she was able to do this one on her own. She is a kinder gardener. If she can do it, everyone else who comes here should be able to follow the same instructions. read more

The people there are fine. I was on hold with them for an hour and thirty minutes. I went in, around 1 pm so shouldn't be prime time, and they still aren't answering any phones. When they told me my prescription was ready, I figured that meant the insurance was accepted and everything with that figured out. It was not. Long story short I wasted 3 hours of my time today, at least, and 3 trips to CVS. I don't blame the workers, but I don't have to stay in a place that has this happen either. Switched to this pharmacy because they have a drive through and they seemed like the safest choice during covid. The drive through line is always VERY long, but recently they started doing covid tests at the drive through and I've waited for over an HOUR in line. The last straw was today, after waiting for 30 minutes they shut down the drive through completely, forcing a huge line of people in the drive through to all join the ALSO very long inside line. You wait for at least a half hour anytime you come to pick up regardless of whether your prescription is ready and you have to wait HOURS after it's called in because they are never properly staffed. Then, when you get there, make sure you don't come during the lunch hour because whatever genius does the scheduling has ALL pharmacy staff take lunch at the same time so the pharmacy is closed in the middle of the day!!!!! I have gone to this pharmacy for years and I have had problems every year. Sometimes I don't get the right medication, sometimes I get told I'm wrong about my prescription after speaking with my dr. extensively 2 minutes before. But since they have gotten a new pharmacist I just get talked over when asking questions and then told 3 different things because she doesn't actually look at my file until I argue with her enough. Quite possibly the worst pharmacy out there. I can't tell you how many times they've messed up prescriptions, not processed refills, and failed to come through on their promise times. I've waited in line for 30+ minutes easily a dozen or more times for a prescription. Additionally, they seem to have nothing in stock other than Tylenol. I've had them be out of stock 3 separate times and for two of them they apparently didn't find out they were out of stock until hours after submitting the prescription. While the location is not as convenient, if you want a pharmacy in Burien, go to Bartell in the LA Fitness lot by the transit center. Their lines can have waits (not anything like 30 mins), but their customer service is awesome and they have yet to fail me for out of stock items, refills, or promise times. read more

Horrible service and attitude in the pharmacy. Had a family member in HMC up the hill for out-patient surgery today. Doc suggested to call to ensure the post-op prescription would be ready about the time of discharge. Called and was told should only be about 1hr. Arrived about 2.5hr later to be told it wasn't ready. Pharmacist at the register after I told him this was a post-op order and the patient was discharged so needed the meds tonight. In so many words said well that what I told those 2 other people I just sent away."I asked when it would be ready and told me you'll get a call. I went back 20min later after I was told they called. Only to get the rude pharmacist now in the back to tell the clerk at the register to only give me the 1 prescription. I will never give this place any more of my business! read more

This CVS pharmacy is always busy, lately! This is our neighborhood CVS. I'm writing this review off of the two incidents that happened this month. First incident- I picked up our prescription and paid the co-pay and what do you know. They didn't ha e changed in the register. This was a Saturday late afternoon. Instead of letting us know that she couldn't break the bill. She took the bill and proceed with the transaction. She called up the supervisor for change, very unprofessional-like who treat there employees like that. In front of a customer, supervision on duty took the 100 bill came back with all $20 bill. Her employee asked her clearly for change. She was very rude to the employee- so embarrassed the employee assured us this isn't her store. Apologize about what was going on, I told not to worry. After telling her supervisor, she need change again, the supervisor proceed with a tantrum and tried to open the other till because she didn't want to walk back to the back to get change. After-15 mind in we couldn't open the till she finally goes to back and get change for us wow, it took whooping 30 mins just for change. Yesterday- called for a prescription refill for my son cream. The man over the phone is telling me they are to busy to fill my prescription, which I had submitted request over 24 hours ago. He then told me it will take 24 hours to fill and that if the pharmacist get to it, wait what??? Who tell a customer or patient,, that they are to busy to fill our medication. "Exact word was we are to busy to fill your medication, we will get to when we get to it." I just hung up the phone and went to a different CVS. Will not do business here anymore. read more

Shame on this pharmacy. I got an inhaler here that didn't work. I had to go to the ER to get a breathing treatment because my emergency inhaler is so cheap and crappy I went to use it and it did t work. I go to use to exchange my inhaler and the pharmacist had the balls to argue with me. Like I had to take the day off of work because you sold me cheap medical equipment. It is time for CVS to stop the excuses and pretend concerns, and show up for its pharmacy customers. CVS posted 10% revenue growth and RAISED its earnings per share estimates for year end, citing another outstanding business quarter. Its losses are contained to litigation over its role in opiates. The company is buying new businesses and diversifying all on the backs of its paying pharmacy patients while they are forced to deal with unanswered phones for both doctors and patients, late and lost prescriptions and dropped orders, complaints by other pharmacies that no one answers the phone when trying to transfer prescriptions, patients having the drive through window shut in their face after waiting their turn in line and being told to pile into a new line in the store. It is unfair to the existing pharmacy staff to shoulder one of the busiest stores in Rx volume without sizing the staff to handle to work and make sure patients are cared for. What is your experience at this CVS? I wish I can give a negative star! Worst pharmacy ever! The pharmacists really don't care to give any customer service. They often mess up your order, when they tell you your order will be ready in 30min you show up in 90min still not ready. We keep getting reminder call that our refills are ready to pickup, but in fact we don't have any refill ordered. They should focus on real prescription that's coming in, instead of filling refills that's never been ordered. I highly DO NOT recommend anyone to go here. read more

I just waited 45+ minutes in the pharmacy drive thru line to have someone literally lower a metal window in my face while three more cars waited behind me. Clearly this pharmacy does not understand the medical urgency of their job and is content to leave multiple patients without service with a sign that says SMILE WE ARE CLOSED 1:30-2PM. This is so disrespectful, negligent, and inexcusable. There is no reason a pharmacy should not be staffed properly to cover a half hour lunch break. There is no excuses for shutting a window in a customers face after they've been waiting almost an hour. The lines and wait at this store have been getting worse and worse and I watch many customers drive away because they simply don't have 2+ hours to wait to get (or be refused) their medication. Upper management needs to exercise intervention IMMEDIATELY because this store is a danger to the community if it cannot fulfill its obligations to its patients. read more

This pharmacy they told me is the busiest in the nation for prescriptions. They desperately need two pharmacists on staff during the day to fill them all and some one to answer pharmacy phone in a timely manner. They are understaffed and overworked for the volume of business. read more

BEWARE this is a horrific pharmacy. Extremely long waits (both in-person and drive-thru), incompetent staff, and Richard (a very scripted, robotic Pharmacist) refused to fill a prescription that I had previously filled at another CVS location without incident due to alleged "safety" and "off label" issues. Pharmacists should not practice medicine. This pharmacist operated outside his scope of practice and questioned an incredibly competent medical professional due to current politics and corporate bureaucracy. This pharmacist was not protecting me, but some larger agenda and failed to serve a patient in need as a result. Shameful. read more

Just received my Covid booster shot at CVS Burien store, the staff was pleasant and pretty quick but my wife and I were there in morning and the store was filthy. Looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in days, my wife wanted to leave but I just wanted to get shots and leave so we stayed. Doesn't make you feel too good about getting a shot in a dirty store. John M in the pharmacy refused to refill my prescriptions during a mental health crisis. Instead of referring me to another pharmacy or advising me to visit the nearby hospital ER, John M threatened to call the police when I insisted on speaking to a supervisor. I told John that the police would kill me if he called them. John responded by enthusiasticly beaming "GREAT!" He obviously wanted to cause me harm. Both the store manager and the district manager refused to take my complaint seriously. Beware John M as he is full of schadenfreude and his supervisors are willing to protect him even when he threatens death to the mentally ill. read more
