Just want to mention that CVS recently raised the cost of a prescription of mine by a factor of four, no reason given, no discounts available, just quadrupled the price out of greed, presumably. I was able to get it refilled elsewhere - same manufacturer, by the way - for slightly less than I paid for it at CVS previously. Definitely in the running for the worst run worst staffed least honest CVS in existence. They place the pickup orders behind the counter so you have to summon a clerk who because they are staffed as if its a Taco Bell can take a considerable amount of time to both contact and appear at the counter. This entirely defeats the purpose of pickup well mostly since at this store you would still be waiting for someone to check you out. At the Metacom Ave CVS in Warren they place pickup orders in a kiosk for pickup making it convenient. The pharmacy showed a prescription as processing and soon available for two months. I had some extra time so decided to quiz the pharmacist about this puzzle and they told me that EVERY day they order same medication and it was NEVER available to them. Meanwhile I had a script for same at Walgreens the first month CVS flaked out and through some miracle they were able to obtain it. I transferred the Walgreens script to Lifespan Pharmacy for month two and they had it within 24 hrs BUT after my conversation with the CVS pharmacist CVS placed a HOLD on my medication through my insurance so Lifespan had to call to have them release it. Beyond belief. Pharmacist from CVS had stood there with a straight face and lied continuously about the med being ordered unsuccessfully on a daily basis. CVS is the biggest PBM in the US. They can get a med before other pharmacies if they actually order it. Wait it gets better. Once I had a script that they overcharged me for so about 6 days afterward I went back to obtain a refund which was not an issue HOWEVER the CVS system saw the refund date as the date of the script being obtained by me. This medication is a very low level sleeping med so its the law not to dole it out even a day early which I am aware of and its not an issue. When I returned to the day for my refill I was told I would have to wait 6 more days to get a refill. Took me a minute to figure out their foul up - tried to explain it but NO, I went home to get the actual bottle to show I wasn't a liar. To add insult to injury this CVS is located at the worst red light in all of the East Bay. Getting in and out of there is a flipping nightmare. Stay clear and hope they close this location. read more

Although I've found the pharmacy at this CVS to be efficient and the shelves well-stocked, the store needs a visit from the Health Department for their filthy refrigerated cases. When a company or store is too lazy to provide cleanliness for their customers, they're basically saying "we don't care about you or your business". They actually give out discount coupons for their refrigerated items but do squat to keep those cases clean! No wonder their Yelp stats are not good. I have crippling arthritis. When dealing with a bad bout of it my doctor sent a prescription to this CVS. When I arrived to pick it up I was told that it wasn't covered under my insurance and the price was over 125.oo. I went to pay using a credit card but was still denied. The associate told me to come back in a week. All she wanted to do was argue. The next morning I called my doctor who then called the pharmacy to try and straighten things out. When I arrived the second time the arguing continued at the drive-,thru window. I eventually got my prescription. Final cost 12.oo These guys are the worst ! read more

This place is the laughing stock of the Bristol town Facebook page and I now know why. I've never experienced such a rude pharmacy worker. If I could give zero stars I would. Take your business anywhere else. Walgreens is right now the road. I was trying to get a simple question answered at the consultation desk on a SLOW SUNDAY and you would have thought I killed this ladies dog. She was unbelievably sassy with me for no reason. I just was curious for when my prescription was going to be ready because it's been on back order. Not a big deal at all. I honestly feel sorry for that miserable women. If it was possible to give a review without choosing a star rating, I would. This location is the worst. When you finally do get to speak with an employee you feel like you need to speed talk because they sound RUSHED, making you feel rushed. You provide them with your name and DOB, I don't know why, they don't listen, they ask you at least a couple of more times. Write it down!! I have been trying for two days to get a new prescription filled, thank goodness it's not a LIFE or DEATH prescription, although it is a necessary one. I called and was left on hold for 30 minutes the first time, the second time I was left on hold for 15 minutes, I finally called the FRONT END STORE to see if perhaps the pharmacy was closed and I was holding for nothing. I was told they are busy and they don't answer the phone when they are busy. I said NOPE, "WRONG ANSWER"!! I said I am just as much as a customer on the phone as the ones in the store standing in line or going through the drive-thru. I asked to be switched to a store manager. I was switched to a SUPERVISOR and he was not helpful at all. He actually repeated the same words as the previous employee. He then said he was going to put me on hold and walk down to the pharmacy and pick up the call. I BELIEVED HIM and was put on hold. I waited an additional 12 minutes on hold, he never picked up the call. I ended the call and called CVS corporate to report this store as being the WORST EVER!! I told the representative at corporate if my insurance company did not make me use CVS I would definitely go elsewhere!!! I am totally DISGUSTED with this CVS location. So maybe I am a little biased to this particular location because it's literally at the top of my street. But there's something about a drug store / pharmacy located in a small town. Now granted it's a corporate chain, but honestly I never get that feeling when I walk in. I never have a problem with the clerks at the front registers, photo lab clerks are nice and helpful and the pharmacy techs / pharmacists are very helpful as well. The reason I gave this CVS 4 stars instead of 5 has to do with my only gripe about this location. The pharmacy is not open 24 hours. Now I know it's probably because we're in the small town of Bristol, but people in Bristol also get sick in the middle of the night too lol. But overall one of the better CVS locations out there. Don't go here. The pharmacy is awful, unless you like rudeness from a phamacist. They are constantly screwing up. Not having my absolutely necessary perscriptions filled. Last week they filled my freestyle cgm with the newest and greatest version, which was not disclosed to me. Get home and newest version does not work with my iPhone. Then I find they charged my MSA, for which I had a discussion with them previously when I picked it up. They want to sell me a hand held monitor, so they can make more money. Not to mention they are driven by the rebates they get. CVS does not care about the customer, its all about the money. Tonight my wife picks up my perscription and its something I have not taken in months. I did not authorize a refill on the text. Then the rude ass pharmacist is going to tell me its my fault. My prescription is on auto fill for the 20th of every month. I called on the 21st to make sure it was ready and the automated system confirmed. I went to pick it up the morning of the 22nd- two days after it was supposed to be filled and they didn't have it ready. They told me to come back in 20 min. ; I called and they still didn't have my prescription. They told me maybe in a couple of hours. I'm taking my business elsewhere. read more

It took me 20 minutes to , talk to a pharmacist, and get though, all the automated options;and when I did , she was the most unprofessional, unhelpful, attendant ever.
