I used self checkout and of course had an issue. A friendly and efficient staff member helped me out and saved me from losing my money. She noticed that my box of eye drops felt lighter than it should. Sure enough someone stole the eye drops and taped the box shut. I didn't notice but thankfully she did! read more

Pretty swanktastic CVS if you ask me. You go up an escalator, and it's like bam!! CVS in yo face, man. Customer service was on point, and as per usual, they had quite the array of merchandise. I came here for heat pads for my damn sprained foot. I found one, and then naturally I drifted over to the candy/snack aisle. I was looking for Kit Kat Bites and the shelf was empty. I asked one of the customer service staff members, Alex, and he was more than happy to help. He offered to check the back stock and then I said it's okay don't worry about it yadda yadda yadda. He insisted and then I said sure. He came back and said that they were all out and it was all good. That was really nice of him to check!! I appreciate it :) I ended up buying some other chocolaty delights that were on sale. I'll be back for sure. It's RIGHT in South Station, and accessible to the T, Amtrak and buses. Need a snack, need some lipstick/toiletries or emergency meds? This CVS will be there for ya :) I know there's a smaller store in the main South Station entrance, but haven't checked it out yet. We needed help to find a product. The first long hair Asian guy wasn't friendly at all and barely answered me. The second one didn't want to move, but finally helped me a bit. I will never go that CVS (this is the store problem not CVS). I think this store needs refresh or customer service education. read more

As far as what they have, they are great, a lot of drinks, food, travel stuff. It is easy to access and so convenient since it is in South SaHDtation. The stockers have always been helpful to me. I have no gripes against them. I have heard great things about the pharmacy here but have no personal experience with it. Most of the cashiers, however, are rude and spend more time talking smack about customers than actually helping them. My cashier this most recent time was rude, and slow, and was taking such a slow time getting my change that I actually left before getting it to make my train. And as I said forget the change, I actually got a sarcastic "bye". I had not said anything to her previously, or gestured in any way that would seem annoying , so the attitude was unwarranted. This was not the first time I heard cashiers there complain about customers in front of other customer, but this was the first time they were actively rude to me, and with no reason. Spare yourself and use the self check-out . read more

Popped in May 2022 to see about buying one or two grocery items. Only visited the first floor, and either they are down stock or the entire first floor now just grab and go. Also all self check out, one employee there hovering, and since I cannot use it b/c of vision issues/it times out -- I find it off putting. He wasn't exactly friendly and the other employee I think was stacking the drinks/cooler. Short visit because of this -- I did not venture upstairs so uncertain if better grocery selection there and also people/cashiers. Do not get down this way often to South Station but for shuttle bus diversion via the Silver Line, but it is unfortunate in general many CVS stores seem to be really down on customer service going the way of automated stores a la Amazon,etc. Disappointing. PS Went to a rival chain where I could check out with a human and what I needed was on sale--even better. read more

I hate this CVS in particular. All CVS's are overpriced. The alleged amount you save is only in taxes and not even then. The one in South Station, is convenient, but over the top expensive in everything they sell. In other words, it is a rip off. Recently, I was waiting in line and didn't see their new sign saying if you wanted to be waited on by a person stay to the left, if you want to go to "Express Checkout" you go to the right. When a "Person" opened up, I went to a Person, only to be told to get back in line and wait for an express checkout. On top of that, I watched 4 other people get waited on before me, I ended up standing there for way too long. One of the Express Checkouts is out of order, this is nothing new. As long as CVS, South Station is screwing the public who cares. When I got back to my office, I realized that I bought the wrong product. So, now I have to go and stand in the Person line. I will probably watch everyone else be waited on at the express checkout. G-d Forbid they get the middle express checkout register working. I basically only go here if I absolutely have to. I was passing through Boston on a trip and I happened upon this CVS location. All I can say is WOW. It is quite large and has multiple levels and a good sized check out area. I stopped in to buy some snacks for my 3 hour ride back to Port Authority in NYC and the prices were on par with what I spend in the city back home. I was also able to buy some healthy prepared foods like string cheese and boiled eggs, etc. I don't know when I'll be back but I'll be sure to stop in if I'm passing through again. read more

I go to South Station twice a day to get to and from work so I go to this CVS at least one a week to get stuff that I need at home. Very convenient at south station so that I don't have to go out of the way to get something that I need. Everyone that works here is always very friendly and almost anything that I need within reason is here. They have a large selection of both perishable and non perishable food items, health items, makeup, school/work supplies, birthday cards and gift cards. They even blow balloons here. They have two floors with elevator and escalator access with registers on both floors. I usually don't have a long wait to cash out. They are quite expensive but I feel like it is comparable to all of the other CVS's in the area. read more

This review applies to CVS corporate. Beware of signing up for digital receipts. I did and received none for 2 months until I realized they were being sent somewhere else (who knows where). They now tell me (after 3 fruitless calls ) that I must call every day for the November's receipts as they can only send out 3 at a time!!! 2 of these were for a mistaken charge and a credit the next day. And the fact that I have had so many problems with them, made no difference. No such thing as customer service!!! I must still call 5 more times to get the rest of November's receipts. Despite being a large health store they only stock food that's mostly unhealthy, especially in the frozen section, and almost no allergen friendly choices. With a milk allergy my options were limited to sausage links. Not good for commuters or travelers. Convenience stores do better. Giving two stars for nice staff only. read more

I refill my prescriptions here every month. Besides being a super convenient location for commuters, the pharmacy team is amazing. The techs and pharmacists are so so nice and accommodating - ALL of them. I've never had a bad experience here. And Wendy is the BEST. read more

This cvs is not equipped to deal with the amount of people visiting in a busy station. There needs to be more back ups in place to allow customers to check out with ease. The system was down today and they couldn't figure out a way to get the cvs care discount. Cvs prices are an hilarious joke without the discount. This is my final trip to one. read more

The card selection for non-birthday cards is awful. There were well over half a dozen Thank You card selections that were empty. Maybe one retirement card (that was religious). No blank cards that would be suitable to say anything to a guy. This is not just a one-time deal. I have had to shop for a thank you before and spent at least a half an hour trying to find a suitable card. Step it up CVS-South Station! read more
