CVS contacted a physician I have never seen to request refills. BREACH OF HIPPA LAWS. I have contacted corporate. They breached my rights.

I needed a prescription for my dog. I was told I wouldn't have an issue filling it at any pharmacy. I brought the paperwork directly from the vet to the pharmacy. I was first told they wouldn't fill it, saying it wasn't the original prescription, and they handed it back to me. I told them that it was. They took it again and said they would call the vet and if they could confirm they would fill it. They did fill the prescription, however it was definitely frustrating that they initially were going to refuse. read more

I need to transfer some prescriptions to a new pharmacy because my insurance changed. The new pharmacy said they are not getting a response from CVS Bastrop. I called CVS Bastrop and their policy is that I can't request the transfer myself so I am stuck. I believe that they don't want to lose my very expensive prescription. Their response to me is that I can just keep filling my prescription at CVS and pay 6 times as much. read more

No problem with the store. The Pharmacy is the worst EVER! They are literally so busy that if you go somewhere else, they could care less. Never in my life have I heard of a pharmacy "within the store" closing for lunch. I was standing in line at 1:32 behind another customer and the associate walked up to the counter to tell me they closed at 1:30 for lunch. I had "1" pill to pick up and insurance covered it. I asked if she was serious and she said yes. I would need to come back. Total BS! Whatever happened to going to lunch in split shifts? If my employer did not use CVS, I would never step inside this store. read more

Rude little tech girls working at this location. Had a big discrepancy over transferring a prescription, and because I called them back twice trying to address an issue not seeing any info on my cvs mobile account, I was told by "Ashley" to "go and bug someone else" with my situation. Really? Is this how you treat someone who is just needing their prescription filled? I don't care how fast they are, what matters to me is the staff is super rude and insensitive. This pharmacy is the worst. They don't fill all of your prescriptions and they go on back order on some medications especially with narcotics. I had laryngitis for three weeks and never received my cough medication. ever. I was told I need a new prescription to take it somewhere else. so I have to go back to the ER? I'll just go to H‑E‑B from here on out. read more

This pharmacy is horrible. When you come they tell you a script will be ready ,be prepared to wait 2 more hours, my insurance says I have to go there but I refuse and just use good RX at Walgreens, they are nicer, professional and have the medications ready when they say. AND if you call be prepared to wait on the phone for at least an hour!! The staff is extremely rude and unprofessional, and they lie and tell you something has been ordered when it has not! read more

I don't mind the asking for my birth date 3 times, that's fine. But, staff not wearing ppe at the register is a HUGE LETDOWN. Huge! Saddens me but I'll be ok. Just didn't plan on potential plague cooties. Let's keep those makes up when with customers, please. For our sake and yours. read more

I love this place. They are so kind and helpful every time I come. When they have an issue, they reach out as soon as it's noticed. I really like this because it fixes any problems and usually keeps me from waiting long periods of time in line for nothing. Also, when I don't feel like coming to pick it up or can't, I have the option to get it mailed, and it arrives in about a day or two. I don't like but understand that they become so busy that things appear to be done slowly, but I know that they are working hard because you can see it while you wait. read more

I took my boys to get a flu shot and the administrator was so kind and patient when my youngest freaked out. She gave him a pep talk, helped me be flexible with letting my oldest go first. She was amazing and gentle. I couldn't thank her enough. read more

This is literally the WORST CVS I have ever encountered!! If I wasn't required by my insurance to get my prescriptions here there is no way I would go here. I have waited on hold for over an hour on 3 separate occasions hoping to speak to a real human being with no success. When I talked to the main store cashier she said all she could do was transfer me back to the pharmacy and to make matters worse she was rude about it. Avoid at all costs! read more

Thank you to the manager of this store. Great service and customer sensitivity. Did passport photos for us during the middle of a lunch rush, and did it in a manner that did not impact the service needed by others in the store during lunch who were also running errands. Great conversation and even better turnaround and service. Not something you encounter regularly anymore in any store. Very special guy. read more

I've waited 50 minutes now for prescriptions called in by my physician, and the pharmacist just said five more minutes. These were called in hours ago. I don't think I could be any more annoyed. This is the exact reason I prefer my Walgreens, but my new insurance mandates CVS. If I could give this location 0 stars, I would. Use Walgreens if you can! (Unless, of course, you enjoy dying in line). read more

It's a run of the mill pharmacy. The store has an overall drug store look to it; nothing to write home about in other words. The pharmacy staff is ok. My only complaint is when they very loudly ask to verify date of birth; I whisper it to them rather than announcing my very personal and private information for the whole world to hear. With so many identity thieves out there you never know who's listening. I hope that they find another way of verifying a customer's identity like asking to see their ID for verification. read more

Terrible customer service. Rude, patient care held at low regard. Dirty bathrooms. 2 terrible encounters with this pharmacy and will not be back. On the other hand, my personal Cvs closer to home is amazing! I cannot say a single positive thing about the pharmacy at this store. Doctors orders not followed. Pharmacist Argued with us regarding what the surgeon prescribed stating it was a hospitalist & she could not fill per protocol. According to the CVS closer to my house she was incorrect. Paper prescription was not given back which caused a huge inconvenience. Very frustrating after an already stressful time just getting out of hospital. Would have given zero stars if that was possible. read more

Not a fan of the pharmacy. I'm currently fighting the flu and had to pick up some medicine and it took the gentleman behind the counter a good 20 minutes to get my things because he decided to help everybody else and just left me standing at the counter! Poor service! read more

UGH! Absolutely hate this pharmacy and unfortunately I don't have any other choices due to insurance contraints. I went to this CVS the other day to pick up a prescribed sleeping aid but was going to be charged over $200 for 21 pills, I asked the pharmacist why I was beign charged retail and she looked at me like I was a junkie and said that it's what the insurance company stipulated. No other explanation just kept giving me the stink eye like I was some druggie. I went home and called BCBS and the rep told me that they would be glad to fill my prescription if I have it filled by their mail order service. The rep said that this was explained to the CVS pharmacist who probably should've conveyed that info to me. The other problem I have with this store is that they are in HIPPA violation all the time. The clerk always asks in a very loud voice my date of birth and phone number. I always lean in to whisper my personal info and the clerk invariably repeats it back. In a very loud voice. Lastly, my name is always misspelled and I have to correct them. Every time. The pharmacist must feel the need to add an extra letter at the end of my last name. Odd... Anyway, I avoid this place like the plague but sometimes there is a need to get my family's meds from there because it is the only place in town that will take my insurance. I would however highly recommend Walgreen's in Bastrop. The service there is awesome and everyone is professional and courteous. read more

Very rude employees and pharmacists. Trouble keeping common medications in stock. Can't even follow directions. Please watch out for the prefill service.......they will refill medications that you are no longer taking, hand them to you with the ones you actually ordered, and then refuse to refund your money when you return to tell them you didn't order it. I realize that most people probably don't care about the money your insurance company has to spend on this kind of error and waste but this is the reason why healthcare is in the mess it is today......... no one seems to stand up for the principle. Just very poor customer service all around.... prescriptions not ready when they are promised, wrong medication filled. I changed pharmacies and pay more but when it comes to your health it needs to be right the first time. read more

They are ok. Bathrooms are always dirty. Service is sometimes slow, but not as slow as other places I have been to. Sometimes the cashiers are nice and sometimes they are rude...it's hit or miss. If you use coupons you better hope they scan or they refuse to honor them. I just use them for prescriptions only and buy everything else somewhere else that will honor coupons even if the bar code won't scan. read more

I have used them for several years. The pharmacy is always under staffed. I have stayed because the pharmacist is so nice, but yesterday they lost my prescription. I have been trying to have it filled for two weeks. Told me it might have been put back after two weeks then said my Dr never called it in. All after I told them my husband had talked to the pharmacist and had been told it would be a delay on those eye drops. How can he know there would be a delay it it was never ordered. She did say sorry but it was never called in. All this after 15 minutes in line. read more
