I scheduled an appointment for the minute clinic on June 14th at 5:15pm online. When I got there, the man working at the pharmacy told me, quite rudely, that the Minute Clinic has closed at 4:30 that day. He then gave me the corporate number that didn't even work when I tried to select confirm my insurance type so I couldn't even speak to anyone. When I mentioned the number didn't work he was again extremely rude and said something along the lines of "yeah, because we're closed and nobody is working." I never leave bad reviews and am very understanding when things like that happen but that was some of the worst customer service I've ever received. I will never come back here and hope that whoever I spoke with finds some happiness in life. read more

Would not recommend. The nurse at the MinuteClinic was very friendly, however, she told me I had an upper respiratory infection (a virus) but prescribed me antibiotics...which do NOT work for viral infections. I went to Ally Medical and they were able to give me actual answers and much better advice. read more

The pharmacy is amazingly good. This is the cvs that has the most professional staff. They aren't good at smiling, but the meds are always there. Never had issues with this pharmacy. Perhaps smiling and excellent customer service is not a thing at CVS, as far as cvs this is the best cvs pharmacy in Austin. read more

Been to the minute clinic here 3 times because it is convenient and every single time I've left with 0 answers and no help. I was told to leave and re enter the physicians room 3 times so he could help other customers in between my visit. Each time I've had to go to another clinic nearby to get help and an actual diagnosis (which have been serious and required a prescription). I do not recommend this clinic at all. read more

Never had a better experience at a CVS minute clinic. The two doctors I saw were extremely helpful and super nice. It was so quick and easy that I would drive across town to see them again. Pharmacy staff was the same, super nice and very helpful. Helped me get a discount on my meds and set me up with the rewards program. read more

This is my favourite CVS location in Austin. It's not the closest so alas, not always convenient for me to shop here. But I try to stop by when I can. Over the years, the staff (both store and pharmacy) and managers have consistently provided top notch service that easily rivaled independant, local places. And now, with a Minute Clinic in-store, my basic medical needs can be taken of for a fraction of the cost of a doctor's office visit. Even on evenings and weekends! If only they would lower some of their prices... then I would shop at CVS more often. read more

The store isn't too bad however the pharmacy is abhorrent. The head pharmacist is just horrible at his job. He does not care about his work. You can tell he is so over his job. The techs are just as terrible. They don't seem to know what they are doing, they constantly give me a bs story about how I can't get my meds then when i walk them through it they mumble wait here it is.. no apology for telling me it's not there or I have to go through my doctor.. they also act like they are doing YOU a favor when you give them business. Not impressed with this location. The minute clinic nurse decided that we don't need antibiotics for a fever, congestion, headache & cough. We just need OTC meds & how the doctors don't know what they are doing by prescribing antibiotics but in same breath decides that other meds like inhaler & liquid codeine is better. Boo! Pharmacy has this lazy chick with bleach blonde hair that could not find meds for daughter after they just paged they were ready so stood there drinking a coke waiting for someone to find it for her. read more

After being on hold for this store for over 45 minutes, I finally drove to the store, which had no customers in line. The pharmacy staff was incredibly rude and refused to help me solve my issue. This is my fav. pharmacy. I know I should support local, but this place is affordable and convenient. I love going with my white-cvs reusable bag, and my cvs card. Last time I saved over $25 dollars while on a drug (legal) induced shopping spree, strategically using sales and coupons. The lady at the register was very excited about how much I had saved. I was happy and proud of my accomplishment, especially since I had spent less than I had saved. Amazing. This is the worst pharmacy ever! They have given me incorrect number of meds, they have given me someone else's prescription, always have trouble finding prescriptions & have given me old prescription no longer valid. How many errors can one place make??? And most of the time they are extremely rude. Today I have been waiting for an hour, only for them to tell me they don't have enough pills to fill my prescription. They sent me to another pharmacy insisting they had faxed & called & it would be there waiting. I arrived at the CVS on Bee Cave, only to find they have no idea who I am or any record of my prescription. I spent another 45 min at the CVS waiting for them to Fax info. It never came. I do have to say the CVS on Bee Cave was super friendly and helpful. I will NEVER be going back to the CVS on Lake Austin Blvd!! read more

Why is it that I feel the need to fix what is not broken? And usually come crawling back on my hands and knees begging for forgiveness after shaking things up... After a wholly disheartening experience at another pharmacy across town (Walgreen's - argh!), I marched myself into my go-to CVS and apologized to the familiar face in the pharmacy. I laughingly apologized for not fully appreciating their staff before now, for ever straying to the place closer to work. And then I asked her to do whatever it took to move my monthly prescription back under their care. And she did. Awful pharmacy. Went to pick up my birth control prescription which I get on auto-fill every month. I was told the RX is on back order and they do not have it. As if that was not frustrating enough, the male pharmacist tells me I should consider switching birth controls since my RX has been on backorder for a while. !!!!!!!!!!!!?????? As most women know - changing a birth control is not something to simply do. It can take years of trial and error to find one that works well with your body (I am not even going to go into this here). Furthermore, this sounds like an incompetency issue on their part and not on the drug manufacturer's part. I have been on this RX for many years and never had any issues with Express Scripts or Walgreens. I was so shocked I did not even respond. I felt incredibly disrespected. Sassy, sassy, sassy employees! And not the good kind of sassy. My friends and I came in to grab a few things multiple times and at one point the MANAGER stopped us and asked what we were looking for and we said oh we're on our way to grab it and he said "well can you get it faster? We close in 30 seconds" after that we just left. It was appalling he would say that. Then a time after that we were trying to print photos from my friends iPhone and the printing lady straight up just grabsy friends phone and starts messing with it, without asking or even a warning. It was so bizarre and really unprofessional and just not respectful. She was helping an older woman print pictures and she was snappy and rude to her too. Not great experiences. read more

The pharmacy here is so slooooow. Even when they call and say everything is ready, enviably it's not and I end up waiting around and spending money on makeup that I could certainly live without. This pharmacy is just the worst. They have no communication skills and you can't get any information out of anybody who works here ever. Absolutely unhelpful, and unwilling to spend more than 30 seconds with you resolving a problem or trying to fix an issue. Even if the issue stems from a sister store to say that this pharmacy had the products that were called in from the doctors. As far as they are concerned not their problem. Skip this pharmacy and drive further away all in all it will probably make them happy because they have less work to do. read more

I go here because it's convenient and on my way home from work, but that's the only reason why. I have asked numerous time that they not auto-renew my prescriptions but they can't seem to get this straight. I am sick of the phone calls, it's worse than spam. I suspect they do this for selfish reasons for the money. They figure if they force it on you, maybe you'll pay for it sooner or not go somewhere else to refill the prescription. I have asked too many times that they stop this and they won't. I know it can't be that difficult, so they must do this intentionally. I hate this store for this reason. And often the people working the pharmacy are cold and rude and do their best to ignore you. If there were another convenient option, I'd switch in an instant. read more

This review is for the Minute Clinic, which I used today. First, let me say that the PA (physician's asst--not a doctor) was competent and as helpful as she could be. I have no complaint about her qualifications or demeanor. My complaint is that although the condition for which I was diagnosed is very obvious (you can see it) and is *known* to be very painful, the Minute Clinic has a policy of NEVER prescribing pain medication. This means that after paying $69 for a diagnosis and a prescription for the condition itself, you get to go pay your doctor for a visit to prescribe the pain medication. My other complaint is that the clinic will not prescribe for two conditions, even if they are both very simple and straightforward--you have to pay for two visits to be treated for two conditions, even if the conditions, like mine, can be diagnosed in 5 seconds (that is not an exaggeration: it was 5 seconds) with a visual exam. Basically, just go to your doctor, or an emergency room, not this lame PRETEND-clinic. My doctor's office has an after-hours clinic that charges just a few dollars more than CVS but would have prescribed all three medications I needed, saving me a lot of money. read more

If I could give this CVS Pharmacy zero stars I would. I have had more than one serious issue with this pharmacy in a short period of time and I have never had an issue with any other pharmacy in my life. The staff is not only unprofessional - they can be hostile. The automated service/text lets me know my family's Rx is ready and I show up to find the staff have no idea where my Rx is. They vastly overcharged me for a prescription that my insurance covers 100% of and when they say they "reached out" to my doctor for a refill, my doctors office says they never heard from them. This pharmacy is always passing the buck and it's always their issue. I will not go back and never recommend this pharmacy. read more

It's unfortunate that there is no ZERO star rating because even 1 star implies that there is an iota of customer service, which there is none. The pharmacist and clerk told me my health insurance card is for medical care and not prescription coverage. Seeing that my husband fills his prescriptions at CVS (we have the same coverage) AND there is a line on my card that says RX information, this is an incorrect assumption on their part. I asked that they please confirm by calling the provider and they gave me a simple No. Wuh? Bye, bye. I live .5 mile away but will go out of my way to skip this place. read more

Terrible pharmacy. Pharmacists refuse to give consultations here; constantly mixup meds. Text you meds ready for pick up when they are not; and my fave they don't have time to refill your scripts so can you do without your blood pressure meds for 5 days? Really? I saw a guy come in after surgery and he was clearly in a lot of pain - the pharmacist told him to go somewhere else because she did not have time to fill his script - it was 5 pm and pharmacy is open to like 10 and they cannot help somebody in severe pain?? Really? The manager here goes through pharmacists and employees like disposable underwear. Where is CVS corporate? Do they not hold these people accountable? Do not go to this clinic. It is a waste of time and money. I have been here twice and both times the nurse never gave me a prescription. They just tell you to go buy something off the counter. The second time I went I had to wait for the nurse to finish a personal phone call. So I felt free to take my call when work called. She then got very rude with me. You are better off going to a real doctors office. I bassically spend $50 to buy some over the counter meds that I could have bought on my own. read more

Don't ever get photos printed at this CVS if you ever want to be 100% confident they will get printed. I was at the location on a Sunday and was told I could use the photo kiosk by a CVS employee despite a sign on it that said "Running new software". After 10 minutes of waiting for the machine to turn on, I placed my order, got my order number and left after selecting the "Pick Up Later" option. Come to find out you actually have to give the ticket to the cashier for the order to be processed, simple human error on my part. Despite this, when I came to pick them up on Wednesday I was told they were still in the system and would be ready on Thursday at 9AM even though I had not left a ticket. I then get a call on Thursday morning saying that the photos were lost and that I would have to get them reprinted. I talked to the employee at the time who told me that orders do not remain in the system for longer than 2 days. While I can understand this process, how is it possible that the MANAGER who had my ticket on Wednesday, saw the date and time from my original order, still managed to assure me the photos would be ready by Thursday morning? Thanks to this careless error I now do not have the photo print outs for a friends engagement party in time. read more

I very recently had invitations printed for my son's and nephew's graduation and party, and let me tell you, I could not be more happy with the finished products. I read some of the reviews online, but since a friend recommended the Lake Austin location, I decided to give them a try, even though I live across town. The quality of the invites is so professional. I had Save the Date photo cards printed. I had 2 separate but similar style invites for the party printed, both also with photos. Then when I ran out of commencement ceremony invitations, I quickly ordered a set of twenty and they were available within a couple hours. All the invitations were beautifully printed with vibrant colors. No employee gave me any sassiness, or were in any way rude. I originally was going to have my invitations printed at an Office Depot, but their machine was not working, and the employee could not give me an approximate hour, let alone date, on when they would be up and running. I'm over all very very happy with my CVS products, and will definitely be using this location from here on out. read more
