You walk in and there's quite a lot of prescriptions that are not filled yet, extremely old computers that lag and doors that are jagged and hard to close up. This is not the staff's fault, this is an issue with corporate not supporting their stores. The other issue is that everything is manual pull so you're definitely more prone to human error. The front store is great though. Lots of inventory, store is very clean and organized. Service is quick at the register.

I left my medicine box in NJ and had arrived in DC for three nights, to celebrate my husband's birthday with our adult children. . . who had also traveled there. I have a chronic disease and was at my wit's end, so stressed out about getting ill while out of town. The pharmacist did a tremendous amount of work to get my 8 prescriptions ready, with 3-day supplies of each, explaining the situation to my insurance company, so that they would allow the emergency fills. His name was Joe and this was on 5/19/2023. He was an amazing example of professional courtesy and expertise and I will not soon forget his kindness. Thank you, Joe!

When I confirmed that I was, she informed me about Harris Teeter's Thursday promotion for customers aged 55 and above, which helped me save some money on my purchase. Never have I come here and the store is poorly stocked or not well-organized. This Harris Teeter also offers a huge selection of nutritional supplements and unique household items that you would have to go elsewhere to find such as a local Target, Walmart or Vitamin Shoppe store.... All under one roof! The deli, bakery and hot food bar sections are quite impressive with lots of items and goods to choose from. There are weekly meal and lunch deals offered as well....all starting around $5 bucks! But, to my surprise...one of the highlights that stood out the most is that this place conveniently has a full bar upstairs! There is a modern bar and wine shop upstairs with both offering a great selection of libation and beverages to purchase. It offers weekly happy hour specials and every day $3 dollar pints. I mean, who knew!? How many grocery stores that you patron can you say have a bar or this type of offering? In all, this Harris Teeter store location is quite impressive. The sales are great, staff are helpful and there's convenient parking on the premises of the store. The only downside I would say about this store is that the layout can be a bit overwhelming to navigate. The store is very well organized, but you do feel like you're in a bit of a maze with so many aisles to maneuver in order to find items. Every time I go there is never really a line. And if there is a wait or a line, it's kind that there is a bench especially for senior citizens to rest while waiting. The rest of the store? 3 stars. Harris Teeter is one of the dirtiest grocery stores I've visited. The store has a rancid odor…read moreinside and outside, and the smell lingers throughout the parking garage below every single day. The biggest mistake I made was driving near the loading dock. The drainage from the store got on my tires and the stench was so overpowering that it clung to my car all day, including the air coming through my A/C vents. Even after driving in the rain for nearly an hour after work, the smell remained. I had to spray Clorox disinfectant on my tires and wash my entire car multiple times before I could finally get rid of the odor. In my opinion, the sanitation conditions at this location need immediate attention. Based on my experience, and the rancid odor, I believe the local health department should inspect the store. Until these issues are addressed, I would strongly recommend avoiding this location.
