I don't know why they get such a bad rap here. I have only ever had positive experiences at this location, whether I am shopping for snacks or goodies, beauty or health products, getting pics made, using the pharmacy, shopping for seasonal items, or grabbing a quick item for home at odd hours. It has always been simple and easy, and the staff has always been helpful. The store is clean, tidy, and well-stocked, and they often have sales on several items. This is my go-to pharmacy because it has a drive-thru in the back of the building, and it is open 24 hours 7 days a week. The drive-thru is open 24/7 as well. Download the CVS app to make getting your prescriptions faster. Also, sign up for their Rewards program because you can get $2-10 coupons off anything sometimes and even more coupons or rewards on specific products. I get free stuff here all the time. For every 4 prescriptions you fill at any CVS location, you receive a $2 coupon off anything. They also have really good sales sometimes where you can get $10-20 off a total purchase, so combined with my other rewards, I pay like $1-2 per product and save at least 90%! Their after holidays sales are usually good for stocking up for the holidays next year. The Minute Clinic Urgent Care center inside is very convenient AND it is the only place where some insurances will cover certain vaccines that must be done at a medical office (not through a pharmacy). This is helpful if your primary care does not carry the vaccine. It took me a while to figure it out after going to several places and talking with the medical insurance. Be sure to make an appointment online ahead of time to reserve your time because they can get pretty busy. You do have to be careful about parking there because it gets pretty full and the spaces are tight. I have witnessed many car accidents and hit-and-run accidents where someone backed into another car with or without realizing it. Park on the side where there are no cars behind you. read more

I'm glad it's 24/7. Recently that came in handy. Getting to and through Annandale can be a headache. Glad they have aspirin. Friendly staff here and good folks at pharmacy. It is centrally located. The employees are helpful, and to its credit, usually they aren't out of sale items. This is a rather common experience at other CVS stores. Always something with this store either they refused the coupons or run out of items, or they money order machine it is down, associates at this store have an ill will. :( Some of Employees starting with the store manager they are rude They roll their eyes when they see the coupons as a sign that they don't want to deal whit it! Misplaced products signs or pass due but the sign still there should be granted but store manager come to the from lane ready to denied without good manners. One specific employee was extremely rude, ironically enough his name is Wisdom. Funny he should be wise enough to treat his customers better. Pointing at customers, rudely calling them to move along, and no regard or care for what the customer needs. Checked out where to get a Moderna Covid-19 vaccination. Store 1383 was clean and there were employees near the self-service registers. No checkout lines at 3:00 in the afternoon. Dawit Tesfair was efficient and pleasant - a consummate professional and our injection was not painful. Recommend highly. read more

7/6/20 Needed to get my taxes done, but I wanted to put my forms into a secure envelope to avoid prying eyes from looking at them. I dropped by CVS Pharmacy and saw it was being remodeled for a walkin clinic. Guess a lot of CVS Pharmacies a making this type of transition. I walked to where the stationary section should be, but it was relocated. I did find the stationary section. I also saw the store was well organized dispite how busy it was. I saw the store was enforcing the Social Distancing Rule. Hand sanitizer was also provided; well, as requiring mask covers to be worn. I would say this place is off to a great start. Now if only I can get my hands on a two or three pack disinfectant handwipes, my day would be complete. read more

This CVS has zero customer service from managers. I will take my business elsewhere. I called to complain to the manager and he hung up on me. I called back he said I hear you I have other people here and cut the line. My call was to say every time I go to pick up meds from the pharmacy the line is very long and so is the wait. I don't asked why someone can't help out with the long line when there are always people walking around behind the counter. At times the cashier is very slow or customers have issues. I came to the Minute Clinic today because I felt that I might have a fever, which turned out to be a flu. I came in 10 minutes after the clinic opened at 8:40, and the wait time was supposed to be 10 min. I ended up waiting 30 minutes. The service was so slow. For a place called "Minute" clinic, it definitely takes much longer than the time it says on the board. I went in already knowing I had the fever, and possibly the flu. I also went in knowing I needed Tamiflu, which was what I was prescribed. For something I already knew I had and needed, I had to wait so long for it. Although the service was slow, the practitioner was nice and gave wrote me the prescription I needed. I was feeling feverish, having my shakes and sweats, and all I wanted to do was get it checked and get my prescription to go home and get some rest. Finally, after 30 min I was called in. My own appointment took another 30 min. She took a very long time typing slowly, and checking things, which I guess I am appreciative of, but honestly, there was another women who came in minutes after me, and I swear she had to wait an hour to get her turn. Next, I went to the pharmacy to get my prescription and the woman at the front desk was not knowledgeable at all about my prescription. She kept having to go to the back to ask for help, when all she needed to do was find my name and have me check out. Overall, I just wanted to get checked up and get my medication, and unfortunately I had to wait so long. I went in at 8:40 and didn't come out until 10:15. If you are in a rush to get into bed because you're feeling unwell, I would not recommend this Annandale Minute Clinic. It took too long and although I can't say it was a waste of time, I should've went to another Minute Clinic. read more

The pharmacy line is always long and the drive thru is often not open. When picking up a prescription, a line with 20+ people is unacceptable. This has been my experience on more than one occasion. I really need to be more diligent about checking reviews from my Yelp friends before visiting an establishment. Trusted Yelpers Guillaume L. and Daniel C. are correct in their low ratings for this particular CVS. I'm going on a trip soon and I needed to get a prescription for motion sickness and high-altitude medication. I've tried some of the OTC stuff, but as I age I find myself more sensitive to extreme motion sickness (especially on boats) and higher altitudes...yet another thing that sucks about getting older. :-( Making an appointment with my Primary Care Physician can be a pain and usually takes about 5-7 business days before I can get into the office. So I decided to try out CVS' much hyped Minute Clinic...MISTAKE!!! I first called the 800 Minute Clinic line to determine if this was even a service they provided. After being on hold for 40 minutes, a "medical specialist" indicated that writing prescriptions for these conditions is something they do and that all I needed to do was show up and make an appointment to have the practitioner see me. What the medical specialist failed to mention was that while this was a service CVS provided, it would not be covered under my insurance plan. So imagine my extreme irritation when after 2.5 hours of waiting in the back of this CVS surrounded by sick people and screaming kids, that the nurse practitioner told me the visit would cost $60 out-of-pocket expense, in addition to the cost for the prescriptions. Whoa... But the biggest insult was that after signing in around 2:00pm, I watched at least THREE people who arrived after me, get seen first. When I inquired why, the nurse explained that since my visit was classified as "travel related" and the others were here for an immunization/shot, or illness, that they were prioritized higher. I get it that its cold and flu season, but if a person is walking in for an appointment, they should be informed of this "weighted" system where some appointment types are given a higher priority than others. So lesson learned for me. Just bite the bullet and go see a REAL doctor and not these overworked and understaffed Minute Clinic folks - oh, did I mention that every time the nurse opened the door, she kept apologizing that "sorry, I'm the only person working today?" read more

This review is just for the minute clinic. I've received atleast 4 shots from this location now and have had a pleasant visit each time. I try to get early appointments to avoid a wait or crowds and it has seem to work in my favor. They have many tome slots as early as 5am to very late in the day. I think depending on your vaccinations you'll get the shot from a pharmacist or a nurse. The pharmacy is usually always busy and the drive tru pickup can be a pain so choose your pickup time for your medication wisely or you'll be waiting forever. read more

My husband is usually the one who picks up and has told me numerous stories about how horrible the pharmacy is here. Today I had the opportunity to experience the horrible customer service myself. Keep in mind, I'm here with my 5 year old son trying to keep him from getting sick and making him sit still is a challenge. My experience with the pharmacy. No line, yay! Per the multiple voicemails I've received the past two days, my prescription's ready! - Goes to pick up desk to grab my prescription. - Provide insurance card and ID etc - "oh we need to review the insurance so go to the drop off window" - go to drop off window - "we need to verify insurance so please take a seat". They couldn't just tell me that at the pick up window? - wait 15-20 minutes in seating area. Meanwhile other's names are being called and broadcast to pick up so I assume that they'll call my name out too. - full half hour later, one employee sees me waiting likely on her way out on break and say, "oh yours has been done a while ago." Okayyy... so why did no one call me or get me from the seating area you sent me to? "Can I just get it now then" "no, you need to get it at pick up" - fall in line at the pick up desk cause now there is a line. - Give all my info AGAIN and mention I've been waiting where they told me. No apologies. No acknowledgement that they did anything wrong or even pretend to intend to change their carelessness. Switching my pharmacy :) read more

Never, ever go here. Honestly I have never had a good experience here. I showed up at 9 pm with a sick kid after going to urgent care. Told them I needed the meds ASAP. Was told 15 minutes. It has now been 45 minutes. The pharmacists are walking around extremely slowly and don't seem to care. CVS needs to do something about this location. UPDATE: after getting the meds after 50 min, they filled one of them wrong and didn't give me 1 of the 3 they were supposed to. This place is an absolute trainwreck. read more

ATTN: CVS - After renovations (and removal of the exclusively self-checkout setup...at least 4 running at one time), your wait times for registers and pharmacy have gotten progressively worse with each week that goes by. Staff up quickly or you will absolutely lose out to Walgreens across the street! The customer service for a Covid test was horrible. We had two appointments and were instructed to follow the signs and directions at the site. No signs or directions were seen. I asked in the store and were told to go to the drive thru. We waited twenty minutes there and then were told to go into the store. After waiting there for 15 minutes we were told to go out to a small shack outside. Once there we waited for 15 minutes until we were told to go to the drive thru again. Very rude customer service at the CVS Pharmacy. I waited patiently and one of the pharmacist stared at me and walked away. One of the receptionist at the MinuteClinic came to assist me, but brought the wrong attitude and tone. He asked me ID when I was asking for a medication, but he threw it back when he was returning it to me. I was astonished and I was going to say something, but I rather not waste my time. I was literally arriving 5 minutes before my appointment even with heavy traffic and they cancelled it because I wasn't 15 minutes early when there is no where on their site or anything saying I was supposed to arrive early. I try to avoid this pharmacy at all costs. But my usual pharmacy who can manage to fill a prescription in under 5 minutes every time was unable to get a certain medicine. I dropped it off in the drive through at CVS and was told an hour. 4.5 hours later no text so I call. They haven't even processed it yet. They are backed up they said. Every other CVS in the area can fill your prescription in an hour max. This one has tons of employees and still can not seem to cope. Something is seriously wrong here. UPDATE: one month later.... dropped off prescriptions at 3:30 pm and was told 1 hour. It is now 9:30 pm and I just called since I didn't get a text. Not ready. Just got the text at 9:30 am. The computer and the pharmacy don't know what the other is doing. An hour after I picked up my last prescription the computer called to let me know that the pharmacy would be unable to fill the prescription I had already picked up. Then for the next week the computer called me to tell me they had filled the prescription that I already had and to come and pick it up. The last 2 prescriptions that I picked up here had the same issues. I'm giving them 2 stars because I actually received both prescriptions before the computer decided that it has to constantly call me. Who knows what my electronic medical records look like. I hope the computer isn't in charge of those. read more

This is now officially the worst pharmacy on the planet, not just the worst CVS. Let's start with the floor employees. In a few words, they have no idea what the stock is. They are perfectly capable of putting out the products, but must forget it once they get it out. I was there the other day looking for orthodontic wax for somebody. I had never purchased it before, and I got passed from one person to another, until finally one person kept trying to sell me emergency filling replacement, even though I told her that the person didn't have a filling fall out. Finally, I found it on my own after she left. Now, let's talk about the pharmacy. When getting a flu shot is the best experience you have at a pharmacy, it really says something. The line is always super slow, even if it isn't long. And when you get to the front, they can rarely find your prescription on the first try. Usually, I have to send them back to check again after they say they don't have it. I often remind them that 'Rapid Refill' refills the prescription automatically. So if I filled it there before, it would be there now. I usually get dirty looks when they find it in the W bin, exactly where it should be. Essentially, I think they're just lazy. The drive thru is even worse. No only can they rarely find ones prescription, but you end up sitting in your car forever just to get it. Hint: if you use the drive through turn your gas off. You'll be waiting for a while. As an example, I was once in line behind a woman who was arguing that they should have her blood pressure medicine refilled. (Ironic, isn't it.) Finally, when they figured out that they had multiple records for her--sometimes if they can't find yours right away when you hand in a paper prescription, it seems that they just make up a new one--she actually came to my car and apologized for the wait. Basically, the service is terrible; the staff doesn't care; and CVS doesn't seem to want to do anything about it. Soon a Walgreens is opening across the street. They will have my business. read more

When I arrived on other side they told me I am late and appointment was canceled. It took them over 30 minutes to find my pickup prescription that I brought in the day before. In fact, the techs couldn't even find in, the pharmacist had to go in and look for it herself.
