They literally couldn't be worse. I would drive to Iowa before I'd return here. I have given them countless opportunities and they are consistent with failing. We came to pick up medications at 3pm. The older lady said they didn't have it in and would have to order it. Luckily the wonderful CVS in Palos had checked for me and knew that they had it. So, I politely corrected her and then she went silent for 25 minutes with me in the drive thru. Finally, I rang the bell. She gave me the church (waiting) finger. I motioned for her to open the window. Reluctantly and rolling her eyes she did. I said I just want to know if you even have the medicine since you haven't communicated in a while. She said yes but you have to wait. Rolled her eyes. Closed the window. 10 minutes later, she opened the window and said they'll text us when it's ready. Started closing the window again. I said do you have any idea how long that will be. She said,"They'll text you." Closed the window. I used the app, messaged the pharmacist at 7pm. I also called the pharmacist at 6pm and left a request for a call back which was supposed to happen within an hour. My husband also called and left a message at 7:30. Finally, we drove up there. It was 7:55 and they closed at 8. Same old lady...still with her shining personality. I asked her if our order was ready. She walked away, came back with the meds. Immediately after we paid her and she passed us our meds, 8pm on the dot, the pharmacist who never responded to the calls, online messages, or our complications at the window...basically ran over to us to put the security shutters down and the closed sign up in our face and lock the drive-thru window while still not making eye contact. Honestly if it wasn't so belligerent, it would have been funny. I think he thought we were supposed to apologize for wanting our medicine FIVE hours after it was supposed to be ready. I told them repeatedly that my husband was just discharged and had to have the medicine at night. No return calls, no return texts, no return online messages. Just attitude, rudeness, dismissing and incompetence. Take my advice and go to the Palos Heights CVS on Southwest Hwy. It's worth the drive and the gas!!!! read more

By far the worst CVS I have ever had to work with. I waited 3 weeks for a prescription and I am told its on back order, I called 2 other CVS, they told me the same thing but offered a solution, ask the doctor for either a different strength or a different type. This CVS offered no help and told me call the manufacture if you don't like it. I wound up calling a Walgreens near me but they had it in stock and filled it immediately. This is not my first problem with them, they are slow, they do not give accurate medication - count your pills before you leave the counter and they never have enough medication. I am constantly having to go to another CVS. CVS has always been my favorite drugstore but this store is the worst. read more

The pharmacy is the worst in the city. You could probably die and rott in hell before you can get your prescription or talk to someone. Even when you talk to someone about getting your prescription, they lie to you and it's never ready when they say it will be. read more

I always have had a good experience at this location, other than the very cumbersome automated phone system which you'd get anywhere. Most pharmacies are short-staffed these days, hence there are understandable delays, and customers can be very irritable and not at all sympathetic to the workers. I appreciate the pharmacy staff here and think they do a fine job. read more

Late night shopping is great! Its nice to know that when you are out and about and it is late, you can still stop in CVS and just get what you need. Its convenient and just a great place to pick up odds and ends needed. read more

Was on hold for about 15 minutes and every time it would ring through, I would be placed on hold again. I finally was able to get on and the technician was speaking extremely fast and I had a valid question because I was unsure why I had a refill coming when I wasn't told I was continuing the medicine. She seemed very snappy and was even answering another question to someone else while on the phone with me so I told her she seemed a little upset and I would rather speak to someone else to answer this important question. Never had a bad experience with them before so I'm truly hoping this was the last kind of incident. read more

I agree with Gina - I live within walking distance to this store and 9 times out of 10 I prefer to drive to Target a mile away. I have a sharp memory and I will never forget the time that my husband & I purchased 3 items and ALL 3 incorrectly rang up on the register. Then the cashier had to go to all 3 items, verify, and change the price. No sorry. Kudos to being open on Thanksgiving when I felt sick & nauseous and needed ginger ale and odds and ends. Negative points, though, because I bought 3 items and 1 item comes up with the wrong price. My cereal box said 2 for $7 on the giant SALE sign. It comes up as $5.99. The cashier verifies, changes the price, and I don't get even a mediocre "sorry" for the mistake. Their sales never match up with the register prices! I've caught Walgreens making this mistake too, but not nearly as much as CVS. And don't remind me of the time 7 years ago when I was pregnant with the worst nausea of my life, & needed the meds from the pharmacy. They bill the WRONG person, same name! Get your sh*t straight! It took about an hour to correct it and leave! I then transferred all our Rx's to Target and have never looked back! I rather shop at Target any day - most of the time the price will be half anyway! If it wasn't bad enough to have to wait up to a week for prescriptions to be ready, customers now must tend with the attitude and lack of training from pharmacy techs. Today, I had the not so lovely encounter with Morgan in the drive thru. After clearly stating I needed my receipt for insurance purposes, she failed to issue one. I get that's it busy. Mistakes happen. But rather than be apologetic, I got a dry response "Well, if you want a receipt, you have to come in the store.." Rather than figure out how to reprint or apologize, you pass the buck off to me. With my small children in tow, I trudged inside to the pharmacy counter for a reprint only to be told they don't know how to reprint so go to customer service. Upon arriving at the front desk, I had more issues; since I needed the exact amount to of my purchase. Any transactions from pharmacy should come with a receipt. This isn't the first time I've had similar issues at this location. They seriously need more training. read more

I live very close to this store. It's convenient yes.....if you have an hour to waste. I can never get out of there in under 10 minutes. There's always something or someone holding up the line. The customer service is atrocious! For a place so close, it's still inconvenient. I'm sorry to write a negative review, but I've given this store multiple chances. The best part about this store is the assistant manager. when she's on duty, the store seems to run better. read more

If you are truly sick avoid the drive through at all costs. There is always a line and each car takes no less than 10 minutes to clear. I I had to walk in the store with a bad back to get my pain reliever because I sat in excruciating pain in the drive thru for at least 5 minutes behind another vehicle. When I went in and told the girl that they need to keep the drive through clear for sick people she told me that she tried to get the person to move. I know that this is not true because I was that person a couple days ago they make you wait as they fill your prescriptions. I was bedridden the day before and I received 3 texts and a call to come to the store and pick up my prescription. This experience was awful!!!! read more

When I first dropped off a prescription, there was someone ahead of me visibly upset because there was a screw up on the pharmacy's end. My gut instinct told me to find another pharmacy but I ignored it....bad decision. I've had numerous issues with this pharmacy ever since....everything from a very rude, fast talking pharmacist who refuses to answer your questions and instead tries to rush you off the phone to incompetent technicians telling me that my script will be ready at a certain time only to go pick it up and they don't even have the medicine in stock! The final straw was the back and forth with my doctor re: a prior authorization form. I've needed prior auth forms in the past and it's taken no more than 3 days for the pharmacy to get it. It's been over a month and there's still back and forth between this pharmacy and my doctor. I've talked to my doctor several times and he is beyond irritated (as am I) over the lack of competence this pharmacy has displayed. When I kept asking why I needed another prior auth for the same medicine, the pharmacist just kept telling me "call your insurance company." This is an issue CVS could have handled themselves if they simply took their time to comprehend what was going on. And when I called my insurance company to resolve the issue, their suggestion was "to find another pharmacy." Which is exactly what I'm going to do. Every single time I'm in there, a customer is either on the phone, in the drive thru or in person upset about their prescription. Now I know why. read more

There customer service is horrible in the pharmacy. They took two days to try to fill my prescription. They never got it right after calling my doctor at least two times. I never go there again I rather walk to Target in freezing cold. I had to another pharmacy to get my prescription filled. When I got to the other pharmacy it took all of 15 mins to fill the prescription. I would've gave this place no stars but, you have to give them at least one star. read more
