In Charlotte riding around, the city was looking for a quick bite and looked at my list of places to try, and Cuzzo's was in close proximity, so I chose to go there. When I walked inside, it was a lot bigger than the pictures I've seen lead on. There were plenty of seats and a huge bar there as well! Always a pleasant surprise when you can get some drank while you wait for your meal, in my humble opinion, lol.  The decor was cool, and the way it was set up looked like it could get really busy some days, I was there on a Sunday evening, and the weather was not good, so it was light. The restaurant wasn't empty, there was a steady flow of people but it definitely was not busy.  I had plenty of time to look at the menu, which was very simple, nothing too crazy, the cashier took my order, and my food came out at a decent time. Now for the food.......DELICIOUS. I think this was my favorite meal since I have been here in Charlotte, I had the Cuzzo's combo meal, which came with wings, lobster mac and cheese, collard greens, and a lemonade. One word.....flavor! Everything was really good, and I'll be honest I am not hard to please, and I was definitely hungry when I had it, but that does not take away from anything here.  The lobster mac was divine. By far my favorite thing I ate there, if there is one thing you must try there, I recommend the lobster mac.  Oh wow, I had this Pear Lemonade too so good. I am making it a point to go back before I leave, phenomenal!

I didn't order hair.... this was stuck to the container when I opened it. The portion of the lobster mac and cheese was extremely small. I also ordered mambo shrimp and most of the shrimp look like they don't have any mambo sauce on them.

6 wings, side of yams, side of greens, and lemonade.

Way overpriced. Paid $29 for this. It was a take out order and took 15-20mins. The wings were over cooked and dry. The OG Cuzzo's was wayyy better than this location, providing better service and portions for your money. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

With their expansion to the University area, Cuzzo's, a New Orleans-inspired cuisine, teases your taste buds like a proper bowl of shrimp and grits on Fat Tuesday. For my weekday visit, I ordered the Fish and 1/2 Lobster mac-n-cheese platter for lunch. While not exactly a bargain at $13 (plus about a 15-minute wait for it to be prepared) it was, nevertheless, worth it. Really, worth it. The fish is lightly breaded, and with a nice array of spices, allows the flounder to shine without piling on the heat. I like that. The lobster mac-n-cheese is flavorful and creamy, with the pasta cooked a perfect el dente. Although one can never have enough lobster, it was plentiful and tasty, too. So tasty, in fact, that on my next visit I will pre-order a vat of it and make it a Spa Day. Just heat it up and I'll jump in. Yeah, that good. Mmmm. Cuzzo's has other things I'm interested in, too. Wings, chicken, shrimp and grits, and more lobster mac-n-cheese, please. Others have noted they are working out the kinks of a new location. Let's hope they do 'cause they got my "Give 'em a whirl" meter just a humming. Looking for something a little more southern than Charlotte? Go here.

I was so glad that this place came to university because it saved us the 25 minute drive to the other location! It is much bigger, has a bar area, and a lot of tables compared to the other one. The staff was really friendly and many servers checked up on us while we waited. The only issue I had was that the food took 30+ minutes to come out, and at the other location they are pretty fast. Everything here tastes amazing, great portions, and you really can't go wrong with anything you order. Also, you can't come to Cuzzo's and not get the lobster mac. It's definitely the most known and best thing on the menu. Make sure to get that as a side with whatever you get!

Grand opening today! Welcome to the east side, Cuzzo's! I got the chance to visit today for their grand opening for their new location in the university area. Upon entering, I was greeted by the hostesses and asked if I was doing dine in or take out. After telling them I was doing take out, I went to the register. I ordered the fish and grits with a side of lobster mac (there's no way I'm coming to any location of cuzzo's and not order the lobster mac). I was told that my wait would be about 25 minutes. Well the 25 turned into 45. I didn't mind waiting because there is more often than not a bit of a wait time at their other location, as well. The fish was crispy and juicy, the grits were flavorful, and the lobster mac was terrific as usual. I had no doubt that things would turn out excellent. But FYI: as this is a new location, there may be a few kinks that may need to be worked out. Give them some time to get in the groove. Also have PATIENCE. If you want a quick meal, go to a fast food restaurant. You will have to wait but it'll be worth it. If not, let them know and they'll make it right for you. Enjoy!

The ambiance was really nice: I loved the jazz music playing. Our waitress was super nice & insightful on the food options available on the menu. Food was also super yummy! The lobster Mac & cheese is a must order item !

Both times it was cooked as requested. The bun is nice and butternut and crispy. I tried the pizza, it's decent pizza, nothing amazing, but I doubt you'd get it and think it was bad. The crust was good, very crisp and the pizza is light with a little crisp to the dough, definitely not soggy. I had the French onion soup.... Unimpressed. I may be a French onion snob as I've been lucky to travel around the country and tried numerous soups (including in France). This was very average, I like the bread to be a little crispy, this was soggy, and the cheese, once I pushed into the soup. It all kind of gelled together. Like you can't get bites with other parts of the soup. I was literally using my knife to try and cut it apart so I could eat it in pieces and not one huge chunk. But it became too tedious and eventually I had to eat the cheese all together. I really liked the chicken wings, cooked well, I really enjoyed the bbq sauce. The wings are by far my favorite. As I have to come here multiple times a year to visit our office. I'm sure I'll try more food. For a hotel restaurant, it's pretty good.

The service was incredible from the moment we walked in. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure our drinks were always filled and that everything came out just right. You could tell the staff really cared about making sure guests had a great experience. That level of hospitality always stands out and made the visit even better. We started things off with the Choose 3 appetizer, and it was the perfect way to kick off the meal. We ordered the spinach dip, Wisconsin cheese bites, and queso, and every single one of them was delicious. The spinach dip was creamy and full of flavor, the Wisconsin cheese bites were perfectly crispy, and the queso was the kind you keep dipping into even when you tell yourself you're done. For the main meal, there was something for everyone. The kids chicken strips were a hit and came out hot and crispy. I ordered the country fried steak, and it was exactly what you want from comfort food. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and covered in rich gravy. We also ordered the pasta, which was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The restaurant had a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, which made it easy to sit back and enjoy the meal together. When you're traveling or visiting family, that kind of comfortable environment makes the experience even better. Between the great appetizers, hearty comfort food, and laid-back vibe, Cheddar's was definitely a win for our family. If you're in the area and looking for a place where everyone at the table can find something they love, this is a solid choice.

Our waitress, Blake, came over shortly after we were seated. She was friendly, attentive, and a pleasure to interact with as she took our drink and food orders. Excellent customer service truly makes a difference! The iced sweet tea was absolutely delicious! I paired it with a bacon cheeseburger that was thick, juicy, and full of flavor. The fries were served hot, perfectly seasoned, and crispy -- just the way I like them. The only downside was the burger bun. Unfortunately, it was cold and tasted like it came straight out of the bag. After a couple of bites, I ended up removing the bun and finishing my burger with a fork. Three of us ordered burgers, and each of our buns was cold. I highly suggest Cheddar's start toasting their buns -- that simple step would easily take their burgers to a perfect 5/5! My sisters enjoyed their food. One ordered the shrimp pasta and the other, steak and shrimp with a baked potato. Now, she initially didn't receive the bacon bits on her baked potato, but Blake quickly corrected it, so all was well. Overall, this was a solid lunch experience with great service. With just a small improvement to the burger buns, it could easily be outstanding!
