Without warning, I grab both sides of the bill (not bending it) and I stare into the mirror and the sales associate (who is on the phone and has ignored me the whole time thus far) BARKS at me not to bend the bill. The employee immediately told me the hat wasn't eligible because the brim was curved, even though I purchased it that way. After explaining this, she finally agreed to process the return but told me I would only get $27 back on a $50 hat because I had used store credit toward the purchase. I explained that the store credit was still money I had previously paid, but instead of trying to understand, she gave me attitude and was not helpful at all. I grabbed my hat and left the store. I've shopped at Lids before, but this experience was extremely disappointing. Customer service should not depend on who walks through the door, and employees should be willing to respectfully explain return policies and try to work things out with a customer instead of giving attitude. First off, there was a group of guys and 1 women . i assumed they were all workers, but later found out that only the women was. I wasn't welcomed in the store, and offered any assistance. i eventually had to go up to the group of people assuming they were all workers while they were chit chatting asking her my concern. She obviously gave me an answer but didn't offer entirely the helped i needed. I didn't feel welcome in the store, and the employee was no help because she was just dancing to music with the guys and messing around, very unprofessional. I decided to leave because i felt unwelcomed and uncomfortable.
