The Cutting Edge boss came out and within a few minutes provided me with an estimate of $730 to remove a large seriously leaning maple tree threatening my greenhouse and prized fruit trees. The two young men that came out the following week were awesome...... very professional and had that tree on the ground, bucked up, chipped up and left the area spotless without a hint of damage or carelessness. Worked here for 10 days before gladly parting ways. The last 2 days the chipper caught on fire, 2 days in a row. The second day we didnt have a fire extinguisher because? It was used the day before. Nobody thought to get a new one.. Unless you want a wood chipper on fire at your home. I wouldn't recommend hiring them. The reason I am leaving this information is I just got a phone call from one of their current employees. He wanted to try and bully me. Saying things like "You're a piece of shit!" and when I questioned him he said, "No I dont have a reason!" Lol. Crazy thing about that is they actually have my wheel chocks and the owner never responded when I tried to get them back. Equipment fires and stealing my things? No thank you! He has done work for me before, so I know he is a busy guy. But that doesn't stop him from being responsive and keeping in touch. He didn't hesitate to work me into their schedule, and was upfront about what to expect in terms of timeline. I can't say enough good things about Erik, his crew, and their work ethic! The prices are good, they always put the tree down where they said they would and they go the extra mile in trimming out and cleaning up. They even work in the driving rain when it's necessary to get a dangerous tree down. It may take some time to get back to you but the wait is worth it. I think the crew is always in demand and that says something too. Erik's price was fair and that encouraged me to have more work done that I may have put off, even though it was necessary. We used Cutting Edge to safety-prune some old growth redwoods near our cabin. We contacted several local tree service companies for bids, and most were lousy on follow through. But Erik and his team were professional from start to finish. The largest tree was about 250' tall, and had a dead spire. Removing it was technically challenging, especially when it was raining most of the day. The execution was more than impressive to watch. The team was thorough, always mindful of safety, and great to work with. I couldn't recommend Cutting Edge more highly. read more
