Everyone in my neighborhood uses him and I've done three large projects with him. In this area with massive trees that (in many cases) have been mistreated over the years (e.g. topping redwoods), Mike really knows how to do it right. His easy-going nature has made it so much easier to pay the money that it takes to care for my property.

My landlady hired Lawn Care Plus, after firing a dishonest lawncare person (invoicing her and not…read moreshowing up). Unlike that jerk and his son, Lawn Care Plus crew are always honest, they do an excellent job on lawn maintenance. They do bigger jobs like cutting bushes and other growing things like a tree and a bush, once a year. Lawn Care Plus employees are the best, never leaving a mess. As the tenant for 20 years, I was very impressed. To prevent my cat from being freaked out by the loud mowers and blowers, Lawn Care Plus called me the day before they were coming. That was so appreciated so I could put kitty in one small room in her carrier with carrier door open and other places to hide in the closet, in order for kitty to feel safe. Lawn Care Plus also took care of the property across the street once I gave the new owner their information. They did a great job there as well for the new homeowner who lived in another city until he could fix that place up. The Lawn Care Plus Crew also took away huge loads of junk for that Owner in another town. This is junk that homeless people leave behind in their attempts to squat there in that vacant house. Of course, that was an extra charge, like yearly hedges and cut back.

Reilly reached out through local community social media, offering tree services, landscaping work,…read moreand other skilled tasks to raise funds for his young family. I liked his happy profile with photo embracing pregnant partner, so I contacted him to meet and obtain a quote for trimming our trees. My wife and I appreciated the knowledge Reilly demonstrated as we walked around discussing our trees and shrubs, his know-how consistent with approach expressed by tree professionals elsewhere. Reilly's reasonable quote helped us decide to move forward. As agreed, he arrived with a hard-working assistant and they made admirable improvements in both front-yard and back. Our trees were trimmed with care so they'll thrive without intruding into other properties or damaging our structures, with Reilly consulting with us through progressive stages. So, we are pleased with all the trees' appearance afterwards. We also appreciate their clearing overhead invasive blackberry vines, as well as hazardous deadwood. We recommend Reilly Gurney highly to others in Northern Humboldt County who seek tree services in particular, and/or other landscaping work.

My yard is cleaner than when he started the job- he literally took away some of my other brush I had finished clearing earlier this summer. The tree is in much better shape for these winter storms and I will hire Reilly again next year or so to do some more shaping.
