I recommend this company highly they came in and did a professional job were very quick cleaned up after themselves and was a very good price beat all the other competitors prices. Axel who handled the job was very efficient and explained everything in detail. I recommend this company highly. Axel was my coordinator and lead person and he made sure everything went properly and communicated throughout the whole job.

We had a garden retaining wall that was busted out by roots. Axel and his guys replaced the wooden retaining walls with blocks and did a fantastic job in a timely manner. They were friendly and professional and we were very pleased with the results.

    How many seams are there?

I was told weeds and grass would only grow at the seams of the ground cloth. Unfortunately the ground cloth had no anchors and was pieced together from what looks like scraps. I am a disabled widow who specifically told Sarah I did not want grass at all. The neighbors who were interested in contacting have changed their minds and don't want the same problem. Also when I first complained about the weeds and grass problem in November Cruz was sent out to check. I did let Sarah know that I was out of town for a few weeks. When I returned I found water was running, in an unrequested connection installed for the back yard. Since I did not want the back yard connect Cruz just buried the pvc pipenext to the house foundation. This is where water was running. My water bill was doubled that month. I did contact Sarah to let her know and no offer to pay that portion of my bill was made. Truthfully the yard looked really good upon completion, but within a few weeks became again something I can not take care of.

We hired Cutting Edge to completely redo our front and backyards. We wanted something more drought-resistant that required less maintenance...and they delivered! We wanted something that wasn't too desert-looking with cactus, but had color and trees. Sarah Perez created a beautiful design that had everything we wanted. The cement work by Leo gave us a wider driveway and stepping stones to replace our old, cracked walkway. Cruz and his guys dug up the yard and added raised planters for us to grow vegetables, planted trees and inserted colorful plants surrounded by gravel and mulch. The entire project, once designed, took about two and a half weeks. We've gotten nothing but compliments from our friends and neighbors and it's given us new areas of our property to relax and enjoy. We can't say enough good things about them. Thank you Sarah, Cruz and Leo!

I contacted Cutting Edge a few weeks ago and I'm currently typing this from my renovated yard. It's beautiful! Sarah helped my ideas come to life with her design skills. Very fair price too. Overall happy with how it turned out. They did irrigation, lighting, weed fabric, tree planting, mulch, DG, pavers, succulents, California native shrubs, etc all in one go.

He added a new internal gas fireplace.

I moved to Long Beach recently, and I knew my landscape needed help, but I didn't know what to do and where to start. So a few searches and a few calls later, I got an estimate from Cutting Edge Landscape Design. Quote/Estimate: Ron Flores came out and a few things struck me 1) The first thing he did was tell me areas that were good and didn't need work instead of upselling me, I thought it was really special that his first focus was saving cost. 2) He heard our ask to lower maintenance, another case where he could have made us dependent on his services. 3) He really seemed to understand what we needed even when we didn't. When we agreed, their office worked incredibly professionally with contracts and approvals. Execution: They came back with a quote and I'd never had this kind of work done. I didn't necessarily know how to evaluate it and so the thought of "trust us", seemed counter-intuitive. However, that is what we did. We trusted Ron. A few things stuck out again. 1) He came out to our home personally 5+ times (that I know of), he was personally accountable to the work 2) We had a small issue with some incidental damage. He could have said it wasn't them, but instead without a question he fixed it and made it better than it was. They did all the work, found some new issues which they fixed at cost (our sprinklers were destroyed) but again barely any upcharge) and finished on time and on budget with only one change. They ended up coming up with some ideas, and one of them was how to address the fireplace. They did an incredible job. I didn't have a vision or a picture of what I wanted, I just knew I didn't like it. They laid down a gas line from our house, set up a fireplace and created a brand new outdoor experience. Quality: We LOVE it. It's incredible now. Ron had a vision and I'm glad we trusted him. He's been out since to check it and he's personally offered advice. There has been no upselling (in fact, he's true to his word he said we won't need help for a year) and they even put up tape to keep dogs out while the DG settles. As new homeowners all we could do is trust (why you are reading this review) as we did not have any clue what we needed, wanted or what we should pay. We were treated with a great outcome and were in good hands the entire time. The value we received was tremendous.

Jose and his team really took care of us. He was super responsive at every stage of the process, from initial estimate all the way through the start of work and completion. We are in love with the finished work and the prices felt more than fair, especially when recognizing all the little extras that his team put in even though it wasn't explicitly in the contract.

The combination of wood fencing, metal gates, concrete work, and landscaping details came together in a way that looks intentional and high-end. What stood out most was the quality of the craftsmanship. The lines are straight, spacing is consistent, and everything feels solid and well-built. The driveway layout with the grass strips is a great touch; it adds design without sacrificing functionality. The fencing and gate system also significantly improved both privacy and curb appeal. The team was professional, efficient, and clearly takes pride in their work. Communication was straightforward, timelines were respected, and there were no surprises during the project. If you're looking for a company that delivers strong design, precise execution, and a finished product that actually elevates your property, Campos Landscape is a solid choice.

TL;DR - Probably good for bigger jobs, but not landscaping maintenance Pros: Quick response Left worksite clean Identified sprinklers that needed repair The worker came back to re-do parts of the job Cons: Cost felt high for what it was, especially since the pruning was so minimal even though that is what he was there to do Never met Christine, and the worker who showed up with his grandson started the project on his own without talking to me... The worker was very conservative in pruning and didn't trim vines behind a cactus, which was of the main reasons I had them out They left a big tool behind. Then they said they'd pick it up, and it sat on my porch for almost a week.

They helped us update our backyard by installing decomposed granite around a large tree, pouring a concrete slab, and landscaping the surrounding area. When another contractor applied the wrong stain to our fence, Julio stepped in to correct the mistake. He was patient, communicative, and worked with us to get the color right. We recently had someone from the company do some landscaping. The work was satisfactory, though the quote felt quite high. I would suggest requesting an itemized breakdown of plant costs and labor. I also asked for quotes on landscape lighting, concrete work, and ongoing plant maintenance, but never received a response, which was disappointing.

I would love to give this company a better review and am happy to edit it if things change…read more So let me tell you the reason for the 2 star review and why it may be so different then the norm. I hired De'Guerrero Design in late October to do a front year makeover. What was requried in the makeover is as follows: 1. taking out a lot of dirt, some big rocks, and some dead plants from our front yard. 2. prepare the ground and put pavers along with rocks in 2 area, and in the third area (largest) put in artificial turf. 3. build a fence with a gate (3 foot tall) made of metal supports and wood slats. 4. Putting in a larger gate to replace one we already had to match the new fence going in. (what I thought was part of the project but ended up not part of it... see later notes on this) I also made it very clear when in conversation with them and other competitors that everything needs to be 100% done and fixed by Thanksgiving as we are having a large gathering at our place and we wanted it to look great by that time. They agreed to this and said it would be no problem to have everything done and good before then. First day they said they were going to start they showed up at around 3 pm and were there for a few hours before finishing. This isn't a bad thing, just a note. As long as things finish when they say the are going to, all is good. Things proceeded pretty well for the most part. 1st problem came when they started bringing the fence in. It was made as I said, but they said they they "added" a bottom horizontal slat (which I stated from the beginning saying I wanted) and because they added that from the original design, it was going to be an extra $400 from quoted, which I didn't quite understand because that is how I explained I wanted the fence originally. This wasn't a huge deal though, as I am used to changes in costs as construction is done. 2nd problem: As stated in point 4 of original plan, I expected that the quote included replacing the larger gate door to match the fence that they were putting in. They put a gate into our contract but they argued that that was the small gate in the front of the fence and adding a matching gate to replace our gate would cost an addition $1,500-$2,000, which was outside of our budget so we declined. Even with those two things, everything else seemed to be going well, they were working fast, and replied quickly with their communications. They have said many times that they would not be done till we were completely happy. They finished Friday, November 7th. Well I say finished in the sense that everything was put in. However, there were a few problems. Problems they said they would fix as it was their fault. Here are the problems that have happened only a few days after installing the fence. There were a few other problems, but they fixed them, like they installed the door handle incorrectly and they forgot to make a hole for the handle. The following problems have yet to be fixed 1. Bent boards. There are two boards that are bent out about 4 inches past the rest of the boards. 2. Before staining and installing the boards, they didn't think to take off all the labeling on the wood, such as skew marks, company labels and the such. There are 7 on the outside and 6 on the inside. This totaled 13 in all. 3. the metal has already started to scratch and rust due to normal wear and tear. like closing the door. This is 1 week after installation. There was another spot they scratched up from their installation as well. I communicated this from 11/6- 11/8. I was promised multiple times that it would be finished before Thanksgiving. The first promise was for 2 weeks before Thanksgiving, Then they said, they were busy with other clients and would help me the following week (1 week before Thanksgiving) and still promising it would be done before Thanksgiving. That week before (11/17-11/24) they didn't reply till Wednesday saying they would be there later in the week. They never came. I asked several times with no response till the day before Thanksgiving (11/26) asking for specific numbers and pictures of what needs to replace and to send it to another number. I sent it to both the new number as well as the one I have been in communication since. After this, they have been ghosting me and for 5 days now I have tried to call and text (leaving voicemails as well) trying to get a hold them but have received nothing back. I have not been rude in any of this and have been asking kindly and they have yet to fulfill many of their promises. It is now 12/1 in the evening and no response from them as of yet. I will update this post as well as change the stars if any of this changes and if they are able to fix their mistakes. Here's to hoping they will. I guess my lesson for the day is never give final payment before they have fixed the issues they have messed up and in that I will say that was my mistake.
