Cute nails used to be the BEST nail salon in town when Chen ran it, now there is new management and everything has changed for the worst ! Thank you to Patty W for bringing this place to my attention! I needed a nail salon open on a Sunday, and when I saw she'd checked in here, I called to see their hours and prices. My regular nail gal is out on medical leave and I thought I could wait a couple days, but I have a last minute meeting tomorrow morning. After cooking for the holidays, my nails were a mess! Luckily they were able to take me right away -- as a walk in. All I needed was a Polish change and the price was right, too. It's cash only, but that was no problem. They have a large selection of polishes -- including OPI and Essie. I'd recently bought a new polish to try -- which I haven't used yet -- and was happy to find they had the same one here. The polish change was fast but thorough and my nails look wonderful! I'm sure I'll be back when ever I'm in the area -- a d just need a polish change on my hands. read more

I went to this nail Solon for the first time on Sunday I called made an appointment for nexgen, I was taken in right away but the man who did my nails was absolutely terrible. He didn't put any of the clear nail drying liquid on my nails before putting the base on, when I questioned him asking don't I need that clear drying stuff that dries out your nail he said no I don't need it. He did the powder so thin like it was the last of it and he'd never be able to get it again. I left not very happy but figured no big deal I'm not going to say anything I just won't go back again. Well here a week after and every nail has gone to hell in a hand basket. Every one except 2 have cracked on the corner breaking my nail so I had to file it down super short so it wouldn't be jagged. One ripped off totally when I opened my car door. All around just a poor job. Oh and they don't take any debit or credit cards ONLY cash so be prepared for that as well. read more

I've been getting my nails done for over 10 years now and I have high expectations for nail salons considering the prices that they charge. I just moved into the area and wanted to find a salon closer to where I live. I tried cute nails for the first time today. I was not excited about their service at all. While my nails were soaking in acetone the nail tech came over and pressured me into picking a color that I couldn't even look at very well. He did not talk to me the entire time and was pretty cold. When I went to leave I asked why the price I was being charged was different than the price that they had advertised.... they began telling me that he did extra things and never told me and that's why I was charged extra. Had to go next-door to buy something just to pay them in cash. All in all I would say it was a pretty poor experience. Would not recommend. read more

I wasn't sure what to expect when I went there yesterday. I was in the area to where we are moving to in a couple months and I wanted to give this place a shot to see if I would return or not. The place was very busy, but yet I didn't have to wait long at all. It's cash only, so be prepared to get the bucks before hand at an atm in order to prevent from going back out after finding out the hard way. Luckily, I didn't have to do that ;) The manicure was 10 bucks. Most salons are charging a little more for it now, but this was one of the few places that still has this figure. The manicurist did an excellent job on my nails. She filed them and painted them with one of the colors that I selected from the bunch in the front. But Before the shut down I stopped going because he is so busy looking at what everyone else is doing that he is doing a terrible job on me, today I decided to try one last time as going anywhere needs an appointment now, what a disappointment, nails are shitty, he overcharged me 15 dollars, not sure why?? He is watching everyone clients and staff like someone may be stealing toilet paper out the back door. Really man?? If you can't trust your employees then get new ones. Update: Thr. 7/6/17 I'm due with baby #2 in a few days and I wanted to get a long lasting mani done since I know I won't be able to pamper myself for a while. Went here (my usual) for gel nails - my last few manis (regular polish) have not been all that great but I had higher hopes for gel. The guy talked me into NexGen since it apparently lasts longer and is 'safer' since no UV light is needed. I had a gel color already on my toes that I wanted on my nails too. He said he could match it. The "match" ended up being WAY off looking in the jar but being a newbie to NexGen I assumed it would set (?) In the correct color. As soon as it was applied to a few nails I immediately said I didnt like the color. Instead of letting me change it, he insisted that it was a good color for summer. He had me dip 6x each - I didnt know if that was normal or not but it didnt look like it. He kept talking through the whole job When he was done, it looked like I had done a 100 layers of polish challenge from YouTube! I was upset but I dont know why i suck at sticking up for myself at salons. I paid and left. The very next day I went to a new place where they redis the job soooo mich better and Im pretty sure I found my new spot. I MIGHT be back here for pedis but definitely done with manis. - - - - - - - - This has been my salon since I moved to the area 14 years ago. I learned about it from a classmate recommendation back in my college days when I commented on her cute mani/pedi nail designs. Since then, my mom and sister have also turned into regulars. I used to come every two weeks but over the years, I've invested less and less due to time - school, work, and then having kids. The place has renovated and gotten slightly bigger. It also feels/looks cleaner. Admittedly today is my first time back in about 2 years - I've been into giving myself mani/pedis at home. However I'm currently in my last month of pregnancy and can no longer reach my feet! :) I don't typically make an appointment and when I have gone in the past on busy weekends, I've never had to really wait too long. The turn around is quick, not rushed though - some people take it as impersonal and sometimes even rude by the head guy who quickly gets customers to a chair but I enjoy being able to get in and out and on with my day. The prices are affordable but they only take cash. (Today, my pedi with gel polish was $38 & took about 40min) These days, I rarely make it out to treat myself but when I do, it's for a simple pedi. Again, its quick and their pedis tend to last long even with just the basic polish. I prefer to do my own manis at home - my last few times getting them done resulted in chips within a few days - though I'm pretty rough with my hands between working in a lab and housework. I've also gotten my eyebrows waxed there a handful of times back in the day but again, over the years, I've preferred to do my own. My mother and sister (when she is in town now) still visit very often and they still get mani/pedi and brows. My dad will even visit once or twice a year for a pedi. Quick, affordable, nice quality work. My only complaint is that I wish they could work on improving ventilation. read more

I highly recommend this place! I've been going for 8 months now and every month I am shocked at how long my Nexgen manicure lasts! I've always gone to the same person, Kent, and he's really awesome! But I have heard wonderful things about all the nail techs. Before these 8 months I had jumped around to many places because the Nextgen just did not last, at first I thought it was my own nails not taking the product or something? Now I know that is not the case! Currently, It has been 4 weeks and 2 days and my nails are extremely grown out but the Nextgen is intact 100%!! I've never been to such a dirty place. They never sterilize any of the tools. The woman next to me was getting a pedicure. They Took out a big file to remove dead skin and calluses. She looked at the file it had someone else's skin on it. A place like this would be shut down immediately in New York. I don't know how the Board of Health does not close them down. The owner of the store never smiles. He treats all the customers with rudeness. It seems that all the stations are numbered. It's hard to find a good quality nail salon for good prices but cute nails is that place. I was recommended by a friend to go there who's nails are always looking great. I called only 30 minutes I had walked in and Kent started helping me who I was recommended to go see. When I told him about my horrible experience last week with getting my nails done and he totally understood. He was very friendly and understanding. Visiting from out of town and my friend highly recommended it... I do not. It did not bother me that it was cash only and the place looked very promising considering how busy it was when we walked in for our appointments. I had no problems paying almost $10 more than I do at my regular salon. I couldn't have been more wrong. I've worked very hard lately to grow my nails. I asked the tech to slightly trim my fingernails and she trimmed them to just above my finger tip. When she cut the first one and I asked what she was doing she said it was too late and she had to do them all like that to make them even and pretty and make my man happy so I could scratch his back during a good time. During the Mani the tech kept trying to upsell me different procedures (gems, flowers, gels, french tips, etc.)to the point where I finally said in a friendly nice voice "I really only want what I asked for, please don't ask me about other services anymore, I only brought enough cash for a mani-pedi, thank you". With that she started speaking to the techs next to her while pointing to me with on and off with the nail file. The Pedi was just as bad. Massaged one foot and calf for a LONG time then did all of two minutes on the other. I asked her to trim my toenails shorter because they can crack and snag on things due to psoriasis. She refused to cut anything but my big toes and only filed everything else. I gave her a $10 tip and stayed under the dryers for two rotations as I was told, I asked if I was done and was told yes. Within an hour of leaving (and heading back home over an hour away) two of my nails had big smudges in them, one had a fingerprint on it, and one had a crack from the tip to the cuticle. The following day while taking my socks off my pinky toe got snagged on my sock and ripped off almost half the nail.
