This business shows an A+ rating from the BBB, Better Business Bureau. If you go to the BBB's website, it's shows "THIS BUSINESS IS NOT BBB ACCREDITED". False advertisement. Two years prior, this business installed the front bumper, the upper and lower piece, and two decorative pieces, for 250.00. I had a wreck and my front end was damaged. I needed the clear bra installed on the both pieces of the front bumper. This business told me that it would cost 385.00 to install a clear bra on my pickup front bumper. This business only installed the lower bumper and not the upper bumper. Insurance was paying for the install of the bra but now, the business wants another 285.00 to install the upper bumper. It's to late for the insurance to pay for it. Watch out for this company, they are shady. read more

Fifth time I've had auto window tint done by Customer Tints. Three were due to re-tinting replacement windshields. The most recent was front side windows and windshield on a car purchase. I received another excellent installation. Even though it is winter and it took longer for all the small bubbles and streaks to disappear, the final results are 100%. read more

Unfortunately, this is a completely different review than I originally planned for this shop. What could have been an easy thing turned out to be a drawn-out back and forth ordeal that I continue to spend too much time on by even writing this review. In short, the tint itself looks nice, except for a bubble that remains in the middle of the back window, which I am not even going to bother contacting them about after the whole experience I had, which is strikingly similar to another customer review on google (Candace) stating that her car was damaged in their care. There are good reviews as well, but also quite a few single stars. In detail: I just arrived back from a trip to Chicago to pick up this immaculate, hard to find vehicle (2013). A friend of mine has a window tinting business for nearly 30 years. I had taken all my vehicles to him over most of that time and never once a single issue. Rarely do I have issues with ANY place. This time however, he was not able to get me in before I left for another trip. Custom Tints had good reviews (for the most part) and that is why I went to them. My wife had been there to have her windows done but was indifferent on the experience. When I called, I was told my car tint would run between $200+ and nearly $600 for the top-tier product. She even offered me a 10% discount for some reason - It was a nice gesture and helps push additional products IMO because of the savings. I am a very easy-going person and not one to complain. I am a successful professional that works for a global company as a senior engineer with a heavy background in malware forensics. Previous to brining my car in for the windows, I had images of the inside and outside. When I arrived at the store, the woman that I spoke with at the front desk was nice. Kind of bare-minimum persona with little to no small-talk but it's not why I brought the car there. She would soon be pushing hard for other products and I went ahead and had the front window done as well and it turned out nice. I also have a 36' Formula boat that I would have loved for them to do services on as well and I was enthusiastic about spreading the word. While the car was nearing completion, they called to tell me that the vehicle would be compete in about 20 minutes - I arrived right away and sat in the waiting room a good 30-45 minutes. No big deal. In my mind, they were taking their time to do a good job, and I was enthusiastic about that and looked forward to seeing it. They seemed to want me to do a review right then and there. They pulled the car around and I went out to take a look. A quick walk around and the tint looked good. As soon as I got home, I took a look in the back - There was tint scraps in several areas and a lot of solution (overspray) all of the place. Not a crisis, but a person can easily wonder just how much liquid got all over, and what it got in to! What I noticed next, were dirty footprints, fingerprints and damage to the left rear door... something perforated the leather in a line of about 4". All of this combined, I was not happy. There is nothing worse than getting a new car that is immaculate and then seeing all this. I called the shop on the next business day and spoke to the young lady who originally helped me. She was kind and professional and so was I. She said that she would talk to the installer. I then received a courteous VM from the installer who happens to be the owner's wife. She said that nobody was in the area where the dirty footprints and fingerprints were. She also stated that nobody was near the area where the perforated leather damage was. Strange, being that that was where the window was tinted. She offered for me to bring in the car, so the overspray could be cleaned up. I had already done this and cleaned up the tint scraps. The next reply from her made me angry. She stated that the lady from the front desk had seen 'dirt and mud' in the back before they worked on the car, then claimed that I mentioned how I 'had my dogs back there on several-occasions'. This was extremely insulting!! Being as tho I am not a dog owner, I found this scenario VERY difficult to believe! There was no dirt or dirty fingerprints and certainly no mud in there. The important thing to note here, is that I called up there in a very professional matter. Things happen. I get it. I did not call and demand a single thing. I didn't even ASK for anything and here I get a defensive reply with made up stories about dogs in my back seat etc. For the tint, the manufacturer may be great with their warranty... I don't know, but because of this experience I cannot imagine a having to come back here for it to be covered. They can tear that warranty as far as I am concerned. Regarding the bubble in the back tint, I am going to pay another company to completely redo it and also have the leather armrest in back replaced on my own dime. My family, friends and I will never come back here. read more

Worst experience ever.. completely took advantage of and robbed.. never go here if you need a wrap removed off a car.. told me how much it would be for the full car, so I personally removed most of it myself, and gave them about one hours of work that I couldn't get to... Charged me for the full car and didn't even complete the job.. still made me pay when job was incomplete.. forgot to have me sign the waiver, forgot to give me my keys, then charged the full amount to my card when I needed to split the payment as well.. hope you all have better experiences. They charged me four hours of labor for one hour.. and didn't put back on the badges for my car ether. read more

Waited for months for the D5 to come in and I completely understand the material shortage but they show up to do the install at 2pm come in look and say we can't do the install because you already have a film on the windows. This was noted that there could be a film on them from the estimator months ago then back on waiting list to get done. I have had to reach out to them to get the progress on the material without them reaching out to me. Now they are charging a restocking fee for the material that they couldn't get in for months lol. Won't use them again for cars or home!! read more

I had my boat wrapped there. I paid for and purchased the wrap material ahead of time and was told I'd be able to have the leftover. Day i pick it up first off they ushered me into the office to handle the billing part BEFORE they let me see the finished project which I consider shady business practice then told me I was not getting the leftover material that I had already paid for. I own my own small business and I try to use small businesses but I would never expect to be paid upfront before the customer saw the work. I will not be using them again nor would I recommend them to anyone. read more

Great tint work, I was taken back by when I asked if the could scrape off an old inspection decal and offered $10 to do it. Assuming they have multiple scrappers to clean glass prior to tint application. I was told that they could do it but the labor rate was $125 an hour, implying they wouldn't agree to scrape it off for $10. Obviously with no set price I opted out Having owned a business prior, and managing a service dept for new and used boats, I would have definitely done a small request for free. That builds a customer base. With so many customers they really don't have to earn business. In my younger years I would have walked out with. Out getting the car tinted. These guys are great! I have had two vehicles tinted with them and they did a great job. They also recommended the Pinnacle tint which keeps out 88-90% of IR heat and it actually works! I can tell the difference in temp inside the vehicles I have had tinted with it vs ones I have not. It is very nice to get into the car on a hot Missouri day and not have the leather seats or steering wheel burn my skin off! Especially recommend the 50 tint on the front window. Makes a BIG difference! read more

I normally don't like to leave bad reviews on a company because I know things happen and sometimes there's miscommunication on both parties, but I feel compelled to write a review because I'm hoping that whom ever is in charge will reassess his employees and their customer service. This is the second time going to Custom Tints. My previous experience was great and I have nothing poor to say about that. Customer service was excellent I actually remember the girl who helped me her name was Paige and she was pleasant and made the experience so great that I decided to bring my brand new Tesla back to get the windows tinted. When I originally called I spoke with a man (again he was pleasant and knowledgeable) I scheduled my appointment, but after calling other places and speaking with my husband we thought that it was too expensive. I called back to see if there was a less expensive option (I wasn't looking for top of the line tint, I wanted it to be dark and I wanted it to last, I didn't care about "heat protection" or if it was "ceramic". My goal calling back was to see if they offered something less expensive. I was transferred a couple times to two different girls, the second one I spoke to was pretty rude, or seemed to have an attitude and kept wanting to reiterate the "heat protection" with the tint. After several minutes of her talking and trying to up sell me, all the while with an attitude, she finally told me they offer a low end ceramic, which I was perfectly fine with. The confusion after we got to the cheaper price was the back window. Tesla has a huge back window, there also is a small moon roof, but they are two separate pieces of glass. I then asked what the price would be for the whole back window tinted but not the moon roof. She then said that the price would be $550.00. That seemed more reasonable for what I was wanting. But because of the long drawn out conversation and her going on and on about different things, I made sure to ask at least two times that that price included the front windshield too. She said "yes, that's everything out the door." Fast forward to my appointment day. We arrived at our scheduled time and the guy at the counter "Paul" was very nice, none of this was his fault, he just got the bad end of the deal, because the girl I spoke to wasn't there yet. He begins the conversation with saying that he knew there was some confusion with the back window when I scheduled the appointment, I said yes but I thought we were all good? I took him out to my car to show him what I wanted tinted so there would be no confusion for them. He then said that that back windshield will cost more because it's bigger. I then started to get upset because I knew where this was heading. After explaining to him the whole conversation I had with her he tried to call her and also talked with I'm assuming his boss. His boss came in and said that the price was correct "550.00" and Paul even double checked with his boss in front of us that that price included the "whole back window" he nodded his head and said "Yes!" We then said "great", left the key and went home. I was home maybe 20 minutes when I received a call from Andrea that maybe was her name? (The girl I spoke to originally.) She said she would be doing the tint on my car today and wanted to clarify everything. She began telling me all she was going to do and then mentioned the back window will only be tinted to the defroster not all the way up. I then said "no, that is not what I was wanting, I don't want to see a line where it stops", she said you would definitely be able to see a line. She then went on to say that she made that very clear the last time we spoke. I said "absolutely, not! I would never agree to having half my window tinted!" I told her forget it, I will come pick up my car! So needless to say I did not get my car done here. My point in this review isn't about this companies quality of service, because what I have experienced with my other car, it was great, that is why I chose to come back. My point however is their customer service! Particularly just this one employee. She was rude and quite belittling to me. I'm sorry I don't know all about tint varieties and heat protection etc etc but I do know that a bad employee can make or break your company. Because of the way she talked to me and the poor communication, telling me one price and then changing it once she saw the car, made me decide to write this review. I am a small business owner myself and I have worked in the customer service industry for my entire working career. If I ever had an employee speak to one of my customers the way she did she would be terminated or definitely put through better training on proper ways to speak to customers. I will unfortunately be taking my business elsewhere, and will no longer be referring your business to others. read more

got ceramic coat for my new car 2 years ago with a agreement of 100.00 for a upkeep they recommended. year later paid 100.00 for the recommended upkeep. following year they charged 200.00 for the agreement and said it's not recommended anymore and to keep it they want to continue to charge more than the agreement because of inflation costs which was not in the agreement. ive called 3 times about this with no call backs . telling me I would have to pay more money for it although it's not in the agreement. extremely disappointed in the way they handle their customers and agreements do not recommend this company for your ceramic coat! Treats employees like GARBAGE. When hired you'll do a few things, they'll teach you a bit, but then they'll send you off to primarily tint homes when you were originally hired to tints cars, or vice versa. THEY CAN TAKE YOUR MONEY BACK FROM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT, like the opposite of paying you. The pay is horrible, compared to the industry standard. Then they'll say you scratched a car, and take your last 3 paychecks FROM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT WITHOUT YOU EVEN REALIZING IT! THEN THEY WONT HAVE ANY PROOF TO BACK IT UP! There are a million places to get your car wrapped and tinted and this company has constantly shown me they do not care about their customers, employees, or the world around there giant heads. Pull the wool from your eyes and go somewhere else, like STLFILMWORKS, Cool Shades, etc. there are a ton in Saint Charles county that do a much better job and are going to actually care about you. read more

Dropped two vehicles off to this place and both have started peeling within the first few days of having them tinted. Called them up and they got me in again to fix the tint on car 1 after they looked at it and saw the peeling. Fast forward 24 hours later and the window is peeling again. Car 2 has the back windshield peeling straight across the whole window. Called them again told them the issue, text paige pictures as she requested and was told they would be showing the owners and calling me back. Few days go by and I don't hear anything. I call the store, speak to Patrick who left a message for Paige to call me back. She text me instead saying she would be calling me the next day as she was busy. No big deal. Day comes, no call. Now we are 3 days out again so I called and spoke with Patrick yet again asking for someone to call me back regarding my tint peeling. I keep hearing "we will take care of you and get this resolved" with nothing getting resolved. I'm beyond tired of trying to work with this company. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more
