I picked…read moreone of the higher end tints, and paid the extra amount to have them remove the existing tint. First, when I got the car home and started looking more closely at the tint, I noticed that there were tint scraps and some kind of dried up residue in several places throughout the inside and outside of the car. Bits of tint material were stuck to the seats, the trim, and exterior paint. The tint itself seemed installed well enough from what I could tell. What really took the cake, though, was that three days after we got the car back, the headliner adjacent to the rear window started to come off the ceiling. Within two days, the headliner had become completely detached from the ceiling from the back window all the way up to just behind the driver seat. When I confronted Tint Crafters about this, they first claimed no responsibility whatsoever. After explaining that we've never had issues with the headliner until this moment, and pressing on that several times, they finally stated that, yes, the technician had noted that in the process of removing the tint, they had damaged the adhesive that holds the headliner to the ceiling (they use a heat gun to remove the old tint, and that had heated up the adhesive on the headliner and pulled part of it away while removing the old tint). So, they went from claiming they definitely didn't do it to definitely doing it, but not actually accepting responsibility, and instead placing blame on the age of the car, making it still my fault. There was NEVER any mention of the possibility that they would damage the headliner in removing the tint. After continuing to press the matter, the furthest that Tint Crafters would go was covering the material cost of replacing the headliner, with me covering labor. And even that offer was laid on thick with a guilt treatment. I would highly recommend steering clear of this business.

The owner gave me a ride to my work and my work is in Chesterfield. I paid ahead of time since I was picking my vehicle up after hours and I was not disappointed. My windows look FANTASTIC! If I have a need for this in the future I will come here and if your looking for a place to get your windows I HIGHLY recommend getting it done here! They also do radio and speaker installation.

I have a 2025 Buick never had any problems with my car until this guy finished the tint job. After he finished, I couldn't use my key fob the only way I could start my car was through my phone. When I started my car there was a loud noise coming from the inside, I didn't know what was going on. When I opened the driver side door the noise stopped. I noticed water spots on both of the speakers in the door this noise is so loud sounds like you in a wind tunnel. I called this guy to let him know what was going on, he told me he's not responsible for speakers if they get damaged, well you should cover them up if your using water near them. I have had several windshields tinted and this has never happened. I'm taking my car to the dealer ship and if they suspect any water damage to my speakers, I will be taking proper action. Since the type of window has long been discontinued, I couldn't find anyone in the St. Louis area willing to fix it without a total window replacement. J & J not only offered to take a look but was able to reassemble the sash with a a new piece of glass! They saved me from a bind for sure! Issues: The seal was not applied properly and a lot of water leaked in the basement after we had a hard rain. J&J did assess the damage and paid for damages through their insurance. The lock on the handle also did not work but J&J did finally fix it. The second door we purchased - Therma Tru Fiber Classic Mahogany was for the front door. It was sold to us from J&J Windows with the intention that not much maintenance would be needed because it's fiberglass and not wood AND it had a 5-year warranty. This product has been ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE and J&J has NOT stood behind the product they sell. We have had issues with this door and door frame less than 1 year after it was installed. We notified them as soon as we noticed the issues and at that time, paint was peeling around the door frame and the door was already starting to fade. No way should it have faded this quickly. They sent a painter out MANY times to try and fix the door frame and it still looks terrible and paint is still peeling. They SAID they re-stained the door for us but they NEVER did and after checking their records again they discovered they never did re-stain the door. The picture of the house is what the door looked like 1 month after it was installed, which was very nice. The other images are after 1-2 years after it was installed.... TERRIBLE!!! We spent thousands of dollars ($$$$) and now J&J Window Sales (or even Therma Tru) are not willing to fix the door frame or the door! Their final email/comment to us was that they were sending us a door stain kit so we could do it ourselves or have someone do it for us, and they made it sound like they were doing us a favor because the kit usually costs $140. SERIOUSLY??? Do you think this is good customer service??? I am embarrassed that our front door looks so awful. The least J&J Window could have done was send someone over to re-stain the door and at least do something to fix the frame. They just gave up! We have been extremely patient through this process over the years. They said the door must receive a lot of sun.... No kidding... It's a front door!!!! THIS IS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMERS! We will NEVER refer ANYONE to this company!

Booms Welding are a great team who were a big help - Joel the owner, with Stephen and Brandon…read more We had an upright pellet smoker that needed repair and they fixed it up so well that we can't even see the repair... BUT we know that what did not work now does work! Thank you, Booms Welding!!! - - - We ordered a pellet smoker and the first one that was delivered was clearly damaged, seemingly before it was put in the box at the factory; the manufacturer sent us a replacement, and since the first one was too big to send back, they let us keep it. The smoker is upright, similar to a dorm or hotel refrigerator (but bigger), and the damage made it out-of-square... it was tilted just a bit, and that bit was just enough to prevent the shelves from being supported on all four corners... if we were to use it and to put meat on it to cook, a sizable amount would have made the shelf tilt and fall. We had met Joel before, searching for help on another home project; Joel was very friendly and helpful; while the part we needed repaired couldn't be repaired (we ultimately found an unexpected replacement...), Joel was straightforward... he clearly understood our ask and shared why he wanted to help but just couldn't. That impressed us. So when we needed the smoker repaired, we called Joel. He came to visit and to determine what to do; Joel suspected that welding a couple metal pieces inside the smoker would provide the support that the shelves needed. We just needed to get the smoker to their shop and their welding equipment. We took the smoker to Booms and dropped it off. Within an hour they had it repaired... they were able to straighten the frame and to then make two welds to hold it in the straightened position. The repair was done so well and so professionally that, when they showed us the two welds, which they painted, in the bright outside sunshine, we could barely the repairs... the smoker, with the welds, looked like brand new. And thus we had a smoker to share with a friend. Thank you, Joel, Stephen and Brandon!! - - - - - -

I've been waiting on a few dominos to fall in order to start the permit process to install some…read moreracks in my warehouse, and one of the later dominos that needed to drop was getting some cross bars cut down to size. Due to some dates being pushed up, I needed those bars to be cut down sooner rather than later. I emailed info@booms and had a response within the hour. They asked me if I wanted to bring the bars in or have them pick-up; I chose to deliver them directly to Booms and the gentlemen I spoke with said he should have them done by the end of the day. He notified me later that afternoon that they were done. I just picked the bars up and they look amazing. Exactly what I needed, just as specified. I am very pleased with the work performed by Booms. If you are looking for a professional, local, reliable, and quality metal fabricator - I would highly suggest Booms. I've already mentioned to Booms that I will be in contact about some future projects.
