Steve came to the house evaluated the deck and gave us a reasonable estimate for the total tear-out of the old deck and construction of a new deck structure with installation of Trex Decking. Steve did a great job in the structure and decking design. I must give much credit if the building of the deck to Charles, a Master Carpenter and his apprentice Brandon. Charles has the work ethic and skill of the "old school" craftsmen. He built the deck structure so solid that one could land a helicopter on. His fine craftsmanship is visibly evident in the install of the Tex decking. Our new deck will outlast our old 22 year old deck. We are very satisfied with "Affordable Custom Decks" for the beautiful deck they built with structural integrity-from start to finish, highly recommend them for your decking needs.

She went above and beyond with a fast turnaround estimate and their estimate came in at a much more affordable option (and they offer finance as well). They proved to be flexible as I was also working with a fence replacement with another contractor and I appreciated their patience with my timeline. Their installation timeline was also quicker than other companies (if that is a consideration). The installers were top-notch and I HIGHLY recommend requesting Matthew Patierno and Tim Hurley. They came out to verify they had the materials before they started their demo. They both clearly care about doing a top-notch job and take pride in their work. They went the extra mile as well - creating a temporary path for my dog to have access to the backyard - after the demo day - I was surprised and really appreciated the care they took with anticipating my needs and concerns without being asked. I was a little anxious at the beginning of this project but am completely satisfied and am thrilled to have a solidly constructed frame topped with gorgeous Toasted Sand Trex boards. Backed with their labor and product warranty, I am very happy with my decision and highly recommend The Composite Guys as well as Matthew Patierno and Tim Hurley!
