Stay away from this company. All their good reviews are mostly from their friends and family. Read the bad reviews and you will see what type of service they provide. Pool install took over a year and a half. The project manager was fired and they put the blame on him. The pump they installed cracked after 1 yr and they came and installed a new one. 10 months later the pump broke again. Their person in charge of customer satisfaction and warranties did not properly keep track of the install of the replacement pump. So since she failed to do this and my pump broke again after 10 months. They are refusing to fix it because they don't have a record of the installers. So now the burden is on me to fix something under warranty because of their negligence. Stay away and use a different company. read more

I really and I mean really had high hopes. It started out awesome. Craig was very reliable AT FIRST PLAYED THE PART CAME TO THE HOUSE WORKED OUT THE PLANES ETC.. then came the never ending months of nerve wrecking no communication nothing. I had to pry information out of Jessica. THe only thing I didn't was my dam bill. Still can't get a freaking straight answer on questions. They want you to send pics on how to run a machine that cost thousands of dollars expect you to learn in a day on how to run it. It is extremely frustrating to deal with the no communication. I got a welcome letter at the end of my project? I could go on and on. Not one time after did the site manager ever show up. The workers constantly leaving trash in my yard. But bill time came got that right away. Slanted yard that I can not do anything with. So needless to say. Do your homework and don't settle. I had to. 2 YEARS!!!! Well 2 years 1 month and some odd days. That is what it took for them to complete my pool project from start to finish. WORST communication, we had to feel like stalkers and text whomever was "in charge" at the time, it changed multiple times over our project. Countless times we requested for the owner to reach out to us and not once did he ever even try. a HUGE mistake we made was referring 3 other people to them immediately after signing the contract. All 3 of our friends/Family also signed contracts and ALL had awful things to say. Eventually Craig, the owner, sold to some other people and we had some hope for a better experience, nope! It was realized that the put the wrong control panel on the contract, the one included was not sufficient enough for our pool and the new owners refused to get us the correct equipment unless we paid an additional $1200!! They said its not their mistake. I have sooooo much more to say but Id like to get back to my life, a life FAR FAR away from these people! They have taken enough from me! This is my first experience building a pool and it has been a nightmare. It has been on thing after another to get work done. It has now been over 12 weeks and the project is still not complete. I thought when we signed the contracts in December and they started digging in February we would surely have our backyard back by Memorial Day, but it not looking like that's going to happen. read more

Had our backyard completed last year through Custom Outdoor. Our salesman was good and not pushy. We were able to design and get exactly what we wanted. It would have been nice to see one level up on all of our options so that we could have understood if the upgrades would have been $500 vs $5,000. Would have helped in the decision making process some to ensure we got everything we wanted. The best part of this company is their customer service rep- Christina. She listens, addresses, and actually contacts you back. Very rare when there are so many pools being built and you can feel like "just a number" at times. I would build through them again, but hope to have the current pool for years to come. read more

BEWARE. This is NOT the Pool Builder for you. I'm in the construction industry, professionally. I have reasonable expectations of a project. My feedback is reliable and rational. I do not take giving bad reviews of any company lightly. Trusting COT was probably the worst decision I have ever made. I researched several companies when making the decision to use COT back in 08/2020. COT represented that my pool would be complete by Spring 2021. We are 10 mos since the dig and there is no end in sight. My site sat for nearly 5 mos after excavation waiting on gunite. Most disturbingly, there was NO communication from COT during this time. I was fearful the job possibly had been abandoned. COT apologized and promised the work would pick up once they were able to get gunite. COT committed to updating on progress every day going forward. I specifically asked about each remaining trade. COT represented that there were no other delays like what we saw with gunite. In 04/2021, the owner represented that the project would likely be complete in 05/2021. As of 09/2021, we are still waiting on plaster, I have no pool equipment, my yard is a disaster area, communication remains scant, and we have no projected completion date. Most disappointingly, 2 weeks ago, my PM stated I was "next in line" for plaster and sent me a photo of my name at the top of a plaster list. 2 days ago, however, I'm told that I'm now suddenly 5th in line to get plaster. I have given up any hope of reliable communication or honest representations from COT. I saw several good reviews and happy customers of COT in my research. Perhaps in a market with less demand, COT may have been able to deliver on its promises. However, that is not true now. Building a pool was a decision we made thoughtfully and intentionally as a family. This is a substantial amount of money and our home is our sanctuary. Delays are understandable when demand is very high. But, other pool builders are completing jobs all around us. I'm so disappointed that of all the builders I interviewed, I chose COT. Don't make the same mistake I did. At this point, though I haven't seen the Company's P&Ls, based on what I'm seeing on this job and similar problems from other customers of COT, I'm fearful they may go out of business before my job is done. They are clearly not equipped for a market like this one. Stay away. I will update this review once my job is complete. read more

This is our second pool build with COT. In 5 years the price skyrocketed and the quality plummeted. Communication with our builder was poor at best; I had to initiate 99% of conversation to find out what was going on. Efficiency was abysmal. Literally not one single thing happened on time or when we were told it would happen starting from day 1 with digging. Professional accountability was non existent; the delays were always someone else's fault. I'm well aware my pool was built during peak season, a concern I voiced when Delays starting rolling in even before the dig. I didn't want to waste a summer with no yard, so I was willing to put off the build, but we were reassured so we moved forward. We are in to our FOURTH month, well beyond the maximum time we were promised. Our project is still not finished. Our fence is torn up and they never came back to grade our yard so that we could lay sod. It's just a mess. Can't give my kids their summer back but I CAN warn you....take your business elsewhere! read more
