I'm here for the first time and literally am drying toes so can't speak to how well it lasts but I had to get nails done ASAP and didn't have time to go to my usual place in WC. Called another Alamo place across the street by Safeway and a rude man answered the phone yelling "Hello"! I asked if it was a nail salon and he yelled "yes!"... um ok. Usually you answer a phone nicely and say the business name. They couldn't take me for over an hour which wouldn't work plus the guy was so rude. So I drove a u turn and headed here. Walked in, was seated within a minute and they got right to work on me. Even started my gel mani while pedi was going which I love to save time. Out and done in under an hour for $10 less than the ride place across the street and they did a really good job. Pleasant enough inside, newly renovated. Place had 4-5 people at all times getting nails done which is a good sign. Great value, happy to have found a backup place or maybe new place. read more

LAN did an amazing job with the acrylics. Told her what I want and did exactly what was asked, she even checks on me if she is doing it right. The whole team did a good job actually, with pedicure thats comes with a massage and hot stone was pretty relaxing- plus the gel on mani and polish on the pedi that was applied was really neat. So yes, you can rarely find that quality for this kind of services. Worth the 20min. drive for me. read more

The staff is so nice and they will do your mani/pedi at the same time so you can get to the rest of your day. I have to ask for them to trim my cuticles enough so that the polish doesnt look grown out, but this is probably personal preference. They are also pretty affordable for the area I'm sure. $35 for mani/pedi currently. read more

I had Lan (Lynn?) and Rachel and they were both phenomenal! I always get acrylic nails done since I bite my nails and they did a wonderful job. Lan in particular. She got my nails really short (which I love), very thin, and natural looking. Other nails salons have told me "You bite your nails too short, I can't do acrylic" or "I can't get them any shorter or thinner or they will break." Didn't even have to request them shorter or thinner, they just did it and those nails lasted a LONG time without breaking. Pretty good pricing too, will definitely continue to use them. read more

I have been to plenty of nail salons in my life and I think custom nails is the best bang for its buck. I got a gel mani and a pedicure for $50 and the pedicure was amazing. They use hot stones during the leg massage, and spent almost 10 minutes on the massage part. Definitely coming back read more

New ownership took over and it has really changed for the worse. Custom pedicures are shorter. They skip a step in the treatments and they don't massage nearly as long. But the price is the same. They try to push everyone to Dip nails. I don't like using acetone every two weeks to get it off and they use the same jar to dip everyone's nails in. This place was excellent when Rachael owned it. Everything is truly NEW and decor is beautiful, simple and so clean! I was told that business changed ownership 6 weeks ago. Service very good and did I mention so CLEAN! I got a shellac manicure. It had a pleasant atmosphere and was a clean place. Unfortunately, my polish chipped in a few places after a day or two. I don't expect non-gel polish to last forever, but it should hold up for longer than that. I plan on going back to see if the chipping was a fluke or a common result from their manicures. read more

Very disappointed. I have gone here off and on for 5-6 years. Many new faces which is fine but poorly trained. Having a manicure and pedicure is usually enjoyable but instruments were sharp, digging into my skin. Pulling and patting on my hands and feet was the only communication used. Which made me feel uncomfortable . Moreover, the person, who was cutting my nails, accidentally cut my skin which consequently made my hand bleed. Watch your credit cards ladies! This last week I was in for a Mani-Pedi and charged the $30 on my debit card. I handed the girls $10 cash tip to split between them. I drew a line through the tip space on the credit receipt, totaled the receipt for $30 and signed. I was amazed to see my statement the next day that they had charged me an extra $5!!!! When I went back to confront them with this, they claimed they didn't know anything about it and that the machine does that sometimes. They have no control over it! Guess I look stupid. I made an appointment for a full set of acrylics (pink and white) for an upcoming shoot I was doing the next day. they asked me to wait which I was totally fine to do (about 20 mins even after my appt. time.) my acrylics came out beautiful for the most part even though the ombre was a little patchy- the nail shape themselves were perfect and seemed even and the same length- I was very happy. the bad part came when I went to pay. I was preparing to leave a very generous tip when I was told the total was $50. It was a full set of acrylics in pink and white- which was on the website as $38. I mentioned this and they said no it's $50, $38 must be the price on the website for a fill. I said are you sure? they said yes. I didn't feel like fighting so I paid and left. when I got to my car, sure enough, the price for a full set was $38. I felt like I had been taken advantage of and lied to- it was a horrible feeling. especially after I had seen how nice my nails looked and decided I would make this my regular nail salon. With the risk of infection in nail salons cleanliness is imperative. This salon falls alarmingly short of this criteria. The stations, containers, drying stations walls and baseboards are grimy. The service is fine, although the prices vary for the same service depending on which person. There's a defunct elaborate coffee maker on a table by the entrance which isn't in use. No cups, supplies. No AC in the summer, the door is kept open instead. read more

This was right out of a Seinfeld episode. Thao was extremely rough and cuts way too deep. I get a pedicure every 2 weeks, so my feet are in good shape. She cut as if I hadn't had shoes on in months. I politely said that hurts and she continued on. When she spoke to the other woman giving a pedicure and they both laughed, it felt extremely rude. When she went to speak to her again I asked if she was talking to me? At that point I cut my losses and asked her to stop the service. I told her she was extremely rough and rude. BAD BUSINESS. Went here 3 weeks with my sister. I got a shellac mani and a regular pedicure and my sister got a mani/ pedi. We loved it here. They were very nice and the massage felt so good! They were able to fit us in right away too! The only downside is, is that my pedicure which usually lasts at least 2 weeks started chipping after just 1 week and my sisters mani started chipping after just a few days. However my shellac manicure is still perfect!!! Besides growing out which is suppose to happen it has not chipped at all and it has been 3 weeks! read more

I got a manicure here on a Thursday, and it began chipping on Friday. I had to removed all my polish by Saturday because it looked so bad. The place needs some serious updating/cleaning.There was a 20% coupon I got for checking in on Yelp, but they wouldn't honor it, as the woman said they had stopped paying yelp, as it was too expensive to pay to have the coupon on the site. I understand that, but at least offer me something, given that the coupon was still on yelp, instead of offering me some lame coupon for "next time."I gave them two stars for their selection of nail polish. She cut my nails way to short and not straight they are still hurting me a week later... ouch... My friend also got a ingrown toenail after then dug and dug... Worst pedicure I have ever had. It was actually painful, and the lady was rude and rushed me out. Horrible. My toes were bleeding after she dug into them. I had to tell her to stop because it hurt so bad. She was very, very rough. I almost jumped up and left in the middle of it. I hope I don't end up with ingrown toe nails or an infection after this.
