I used to be a customer of CustomInk, I placed a big order in the past and recommended a lot of my friends to them. I recently placed an order that I need by the end of April and after placing the order I checked that off my list of things to do but come to find out that policy has changed that they can't print any major logo on the design anymore. After receiving payment for those shirts I now have to individually send those money back to them and we are 2 weeks away from the event and there is no local printshop that can do it in that time frame. It would have been nice to have a note on the design lab that we can't use them instead of letting the order process and come to find out a few days later that they can't print them. Sorry but your company lost my business and I will tell all my friends that I referred that to boycott Customink. read more

Had a bad experience with this website. After spending an hour making my anniversary koozie and afterwards selecting my quantity of one to pay. That's when they let me know that I can only do a minimum of 100. I called saying I'd pay more if I have to I just spent so much time and effort trying to make it perfect if they could please help me out. All they had to say was "I'm sorry, let you know if we can help with anything else". They obviously don't care to satisfy the customers. It was $200 for 100 which I can not do, but I was willing to even pay $70 for one because that's how much I wanted it for my anniversary and spend so much time working on it, yet they did not care. read more

Even though I get a lot of email notifications from them if make any updates; I love it because I will never lose my design. Additionally, their fabrics are so soft and the rate is exceptional for the quality. Several days after paying hundreds of dollars for my shirts they canceled my order because the smiley face character looked too similar to a protected property. It wasn't. The employee I spoke to was Maggie. I explained how desperate I was for my shirts to be made because I'd promised to have them on a certain day for an event. She literally couldn't care less. She didn't care that I would be suffering because of this. And suffering I am. See, after they canceled my order, it's going to take days possibly weeks to get my money back. I'm not wealthy, so I don't have an extra $300 laying around. So in order to still get my shirts made at a separate company, I had to open up a new credit account... SO. Fellow artists, if your artwork is, in ANY way similar to protected property - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We ordered a bunch of class shirts from Customink. Only for them to call us and tell us last minute that they couldn't print our logo. This was after speaking to 3 reps and them printing the same shirt last semester! Honestly such a bad company. Received no contact or updates on my order and got little to no help with fixing it. I was constantly promised updates and assistance and in the end I was completely ignored, and disregarded by the terrible staff. I am extremely surprised as I was told this was a great company but not only did they get my order wrong, they also are giving it to me late. I'm also paying FULL PRICE for something that I DO NOT WANT, and it's too late to change it because Custom Ink decided that it would be a good idea to not update me about changes in my order. It is honestly sad how the people of Custom Ink can just take my money knowing that this isn't what I ordered. Most importantly the quality of print/shirts is awesome. Very pleased with the outcome. Placed about 5 orders so far and all have been way good. live chat is also pretty sweet. Takes a little while to get a hold of someone (5-10min) but the customer service kicks butt. Spoke to an Aaron (if it makes a difference) and he was quite helpful despite my tedious requests. I work for a collision repair shop and we've ordered from CustomInk twice now; the first time, we ordered T-Shirts and the design process was super simple and it was cool that they had a large variety of images to choose from that were related to cars; it was really hard to choose which one we liked so we ended up having all the employees vote on which was best :) We chose to put one of their images on the front of the shirt and our company logo on the back. Pricing was reasonable considering that this was our first time ordering from them and we really didn't know what to expect when it came to the final product, so it was a given that we weren't looking to spend an outrageous amount of money on a company we had never used let alone ever heard of before. The shirts came in very good time and we were VERY happy with the product we received. The shirts were very good quality and held up really nice (I've washed mine 3 times now and haven't had any issues with the design fading or coming off). My boss was so pleased that she requested we design jackets for our staff. Admittedly, this time was a bit harder as we wanted black jackets and it was really hard to tweak our logo so that it blended nicely with the jacket (granted, we're not design experts and had no idea how to get a white boarder off of the logo or to change the color of it since the lettering and image are blue). At that point, we opted for the live chat option and our rep was super helpful. They gave us a few different options and we decided on the one that looked best. We received the jackets today and they look awesome! CustomInk definitely doesn't skip corners when it comes to quality. The jackets are soft and WARM. We absolutely love them. CustomInk will be our first choice whenever we need their type of service again. Customer service is excellent with products that are just as great. If I could give them negative stars, I would. I had almost 50 t shirts paid for from 50 different people who were counting on them for a special event. I was promised by at least three different employees with whom I spoke that the order would be done and ready by the date I requested. After the whole thing was placed, they tell me the design was rejected. I then had to tell those 50 people the shirts they had been waiting for weren't coming. My daughter and I went into Custom Ink on a Saturday afternoon looking to order some t-shirts for a party we are having. We selected this place because her school orders t-shirts from there and we had heard general good things about them. After we walked out on Saturday, I doubt we will ever go back. First, when we walked in we were half-ass greeted by a guy who said hello and nothing more. He didn't take a few seconds to ask us what we were there for or to determine we were in the right place. Nothing. The way the place is set up, it's hard to determine who is working or how the whole process works. We assumed we should wait. Wait we did. Finally, after about 30 minutes or so and we've touched all the shirts and looked at every item displayed and have gone through the binder with the possible logos, this same guy tells us he'll be with us in a minute. While we're waiting for this guy or anyone to help us another customer walks in and is immediately approached by another rep who suddenly became available while we were looking through the binder. This other rep doesn't even bother to see if we need anything, even though we've been standing there the whole time. Then finally, the rep who greeted us comes up to us but before he can ask us anything, two women come in to say that they have an appointment. So the rep turns to us and says sorry and walks away with the two women. That was it. Nothing more. Wow! I have never written such a negative review but I really think that potential customers should know how poorly they could be treated. Based one on how unbelievably we were treated, I doubt we were the only ones. It would serve this place right to go out of business. read more

Hands down THE BEST customer service I have ever experienced. The 10 shirts we ordered came in super quick. Then one shirt did not fit one of my coworkers and he needed a different size. He was super bummed that it did not fit him, so I contacted them and they were super kind and were more than happy to send us a new size FOR FREE since we were first time customers. Just make sure to double check the size chart so you don't get a size you do not want. We needed the new shirt quickly since we had a volleyball tournament we needed them for, and it was going to get delivered on Saturday but our business is locked on Saturdays. So I called them and tried to change the address to a home address so it would get delivered in time. But they went above and beyond and since they still hadn't shipped it yet, they are overnighting it to get here TOMORROW. Just wow. If your looking for a company to promote them selves and not your tshirt, then use Custom Ink. They plaster their logo on the products and tag them more then a driver in a Nascar race. I have no interest in paying thousands of dollars to promote their company when I give or sell my shirts out. I have no idea why anyone would agree to such nonsense, but apparently they have found a great way to get people to pay them to advertise the custom ink logo and brand. Unfortunately they came up very short, which ended up ruining our planned event. I called Custom Ink directly on Tuesday to order shirts for Friday. They reassured me that they would indeed be arriving Friday if I paid their "Super Rush" fee. I then made sure to approve the emailed proof within 5 minutes of receipt. I then started getting phone calls on Thursday afternoon saying the shirts wouldn't be ready until Monday. I said to cancel the order and I would try to get a local screenprinter to get us the shirts. They then changed their tune and said they would instead get a local courier and would have the shirts for us by Friday as promised. Well come Friday around noon I get a call saying they don't have our shirts in stock and haven't even printed them yet. So instead we agreed on a similar style shirt (though in a very different color) and they said they would have someone locally drive the shirt out that evening. Well a few hours later I get a call that now says they wont be coming until Tuesday, 4 days after our event. So not only did Custom Ink not deliver on the promised time, they seemed to deliberately string me along until I had no other option for printing my shirts. So now I have no shirts for the event and have no time to try to find an alternate printer. Let's see if they actually cancel the order as promised and refund the money. Only use this company if you have lots of time and don't mind getting constant phone calls trying to push you to a different product that you didn't even order. read more

I'm very disappointed with the the service and the product I received from CustomInk. I place the order April 11th with a guaranteed delivery date of the 25th for a charity event myself and my coworkers attended. After reviewing the tracking I became alarmed that the day before the delivery date they had not been shipped, so I called and was assured that I would receive them on time, didn't happen. I sent the order as an Adobe Illustrator file so that there would not be any confusion in regards to the colors and the design. The pocket logo was supposed to be white with a grey back drop, no back drop on the shirts I received. The logo on the back had a shade of brown in the design, on the shirts it was purple! I'm not usually one to complain but these aren't minor mistakes. read more

I ordered 24 hats for a golf tourney with my company name and a loga picked from their file. Ordering and paying was easy enough but hats did not show up on time as quoted by custom inc. when I called to tell them and give them a chance to fix the problem they said ups had until 9pm to deliver. I tried to explain that the ups driver had already been in my neighborhood and did not have my order they just repeated their script. Would not listen to my problem just passive aggressive enough to make you feel stupid. So guess what? That is right no hats for the tourney their answer was to refund my money and send me some bull shit $50 coupon off my next order! I don't think there will be another order! You would think they would have sent the hats even late to make things better but guess what? Nope that would have been the right thing to do since no one else could use these hats with my company name on them and they would have had a loyal customer for life. CustomInk has a great website, national ads on tv, and a super slick customer service department. They appear to be very accessible. But their quality is terrible and their prices are extremely extremely extremely high. I printed a few simple shirts and the ink layup was so thick it was like someone had painted my shirt with wall primer (like, the stuff for your home). The shirt quality was terrible, akin to burlap. Basically, the only things that was enjoyable about this company was their website. But their customer service was terrible and ineffective despite being enthusiastic. I complained about the quality of printing and they didn't offer to do anything for me, just send me blank shirts of various brands so that I could maybe consider ordering again. I have dealt with many other companies who would have redone the printing without the horrible quality. Not CustomInk, who instead gives you numerous emails and calls trying to make you feel better, but not actually solving problems. Who has time for this? If you want to do a quick shirt turnaround like I did and not spend several months trying to make a simple tshirt, why would you deal with CustomInk's arcane process which puts all the burden on you as the customer. For example, it would take 1.5 weeks after it's mailed to you, received, and then mailed back just to choose a shirt...and then you still have to figure out why their printing is so bad as well. If I were five months ahead on ordering this might be an option, but I'm not. I wanted to love CustomInk because they are local to DC where we work. They seem like a place that treats their employees well. But we had a terrible experience with them and with all the other options out there, nationally, there is no reason to deal with substandard quality services for premium prices. read more

Our company currently pays 8.95/each for Gildan dryblend polos with 3 color custom logos, from another clothier. We thought we should get a quote for some shirts elsewhere and just have some tshirts made to keep costs down....customink's cheapest price for us was 24.99 per t-shirt. I would recommend shopping elsewhere. A good company does not charge to "setup" your shirts for printing either. read more

The interface for creating a shirt is great. My issue is that the shirts I have bought from this company wear our quickly. Not the material but the print. They will replace the shirts for you but they will wear our quickly and you will have to go through a lengthly return process. I ended up finding a company in my home town that used a different method that lasts much longer for $15 less per shirt. I suggest you stay local and find someone who uses a method that lasts. Unbelievable customer service. Shipment was going to be one day late (on a super expedition order). They called, emailed, gave me a credit and refunded my shipping costs. I haven't experienced proactive customer service like this in years. They even offered to cancel the order if one day late was going to be too late for my event. Art is subjective, so they already have a difficult job when dealing with the public. The creation program on their site is really easy and really fun with lots of different fonts and designs. I made a dozen different designs just goofing around, but at 25.00 could only do one long sleeve. I think short sleeve is less expensive. When I made mine, I thought it looked a certain way online and had a certain expectation but it didn't turn out the way I imagined, so I was really dissappointed. Before you submit your order!.....they have people that can help you decide on a size and help you with the design. Use that resource! I didn't and my design looked really small on a really large shirt. It will look different on the model than laying flat, of course, so I contacted them about it just to see what I had done wrong to make that look so different and they were very helpful and fixed my issue. My advice, Go bigger! On design - at least a whole size bigger on your design. If you think the font looks good at a 2, go to 3, but mostly, contact them before you order. One thing I can say for sure, they were friendly and helpful through the whole process. Have fun and create your own designs for just a little more than buying the same old thing everyone else is wearing. Consider Hanes tagless for 1 shirt - not Gildan. They did a good job and I got exactly what I ordered. The only problem was that it took forever and I only ordered one shirt. For comparison I ordered the exact same shirt with the exact same design from Uberprints.com and uberprints did it cheaper and got me my shirt before customink had even finished reviewing my design. Uberprints is just as good quality, a far better deal, and will get you what you ask for 10x faster than customink. read more

Very odd since their Facebook page shows them making products with trademarked images. Custom Ink made ordering a large quantity of shirts for work extremely easy. When my original order couldn't be used due to a trademark problem (Disney), they contacted me right away and were so helpful in finding me a new design. They helped adjust the color/sizing of an image, and made sure it looked exactly the way I wanted. The website is so user friendly, and you can save designs which allowed both me and the person helping me work on the design at the same time. Every time I called, I got in touch with someone right away, no waiting on hold or any automated messages. The people that work there are super friendly, and despite me calling numerous times to change the amount of shirts, they never seemed to mind. I also got email confirmations for any changes made to the order which I very much appreciated. Most importantly, the shirts came exactly when they said they were supposed to, and looked just like they did online. I wish I had more use for Custom Ink, but I definitely will be using them again should I ever need to order more shirts. read more
