I designed sunglasses on their website using their basic font feature (not even my file) only to have it disapproved. They suggested an edit that was unsuitable for my needs (totally different font with cursive instead of script), They did not even seem to try to make this basic design work, even though I was very open to changes and sent a logo file. No explanation of what parameters could not be met. The worst part is that they took my payment immediately but only offered 3-5 business day refund (not even currently pending) in mybank account, and tried telling me that it was my bank holding it up. I've been trying to get an order through with them for two months. This is a purchase through my institution so has to be done via Purchase Order. I've had to resubmit Purchase Orders three times because there have been issues with the Purchase Order. This is mine and my institution's fault so that's not a problem. The problem is that they never let me know that there were issues so after waiting for weeks for the order I finally call and they tell me there's a problem. This has happened three times. They could have just let me know a couple days after submitting the purchase order and I could have gotten it fixed right away. I've used custom ink over the past decade for about a dozen large orders for military unit shirts and up to the last two orders, they went well. These last two were not only a total waste of time and money, I would equate my last experience to them as being the absolute worst commercial transaction I have ever made, period. - "live person" chat...dont bother, its AI and helps with nothing - customer service is just a call center, you will never speak to the same person twice. They don't read notes so you have to explain every detail to each one, and still get multiple emails about the same problems that were supposedly resolved...of which there were many before the shirts were even delivered - Out of 110 shirts, literally 2 size small shirts were unable to have the logo fit, so instead of dealing with these two individually (or just allowing us to cancel the 2 small shirts), they switched all 110 to a digital print which is essentially a sticker slapped on the shirt. - After all that every single t-shirt showed up with the front logo being nowhere near the proof and wrapping into the armpit. Not a single one of the 100+ shirts was checked for quality assurance even though that is supposedly a step listed in their process. I tried to order personalized playing cards through Custom Ink and emailed back and forth with customer service on the design. I was quoted one price but when I went to check out, the price was actually 10x more, which was not within my budget. After several phone calls and emails, custom ink decided to honor the quote that I had received in writing but when I received the order, the design was printed so badly. It was cut off at the top, and not centered at all. Again, after several phone calls and emails, they said they would fix the order and ship a second set. To my surprise, the second set was just as badly printed! The border of the playing cards was way off centered with a lot more space at the bottom, and the top border being cut off, and on many of the items, the design was also not centered in the middle (side to side). After more phone calls, and waiting, I still have not heard a resolution from their "investigation" and now the timeline and event where we were going to distribute this gift has passed. I am still waiting for a refund and a resolution. read more

1 star for arriving in a timely fashion (although I ordered two shirts and they arrived on different days which is odd). It's a littlle tricky to design a tshirt using their portal and I had two questions for "customer service". Customer service folks wanted to complete the order as quickly as possible & could care less about my end product. After talking to the first rep, I decided to call back as she was no help. The 2nd customer service rep did not adust the font as he promised (which you can see on your dashboard) and I had to contact them a 3rd time. The 3rd rep said "no problem at all, I will fix and reship". The replacement was the exact same as the incorrect version which was comical. I now had 3 imperfect shirts (and the white lettering was very cheap looking too, almost scratched off if that makes sense). I paid $45+ for each shirt - they were the worst, cheapest, scratchiest Hanes shirts I have ever worn and will not wear again. They were also VERY small so size up rather than down if you aren't sure. My medium was basically a small. I hate to be negative but I want to help folks on the fence as I was pretty stressed using their services. Next time, I will stay local. read more

custom ink did the WORST job with my company shirts. when the shirts arrived the color of the shirts were blue when I ordered green, the logo is 2 colors and they printed 1, and the flag in the sleeve was upside down. I requested a remake and they sent the wrong color again, the logo on the back is way too high this time and the front logo is in the center of the shirt instead of where a breast pocket would be. I pad $53 for this shirt and they can't even get the shirt comor right. DO NOT order from them. only positive is customer service is really nice read more

Horrible. They completely ruined our family reunion. We ordered over 80 shirts from them. Every time we checked they said they would have our shirts to us by the 18th. On the 18th, which was on a Friday, they told us that they shipped our shirts through a carrier that does not deliver on the weekends. This was not acceptable as our family fly out of the country that Monday (as they were previously informed). To add insult to injury, twice I was told that I would receive a call back, 6 days later, no call. They need to learn how to take accountability for their actions, use carriers that work over the weekend, especially when they miss their deadlines. read more

I wish I could give below zero stars. Unacceptable company and customer service. I placed an order two months prior to needing 32 shirts for my dance class. I am a teacher and needed the shirts for their performance. Unfortunately, despite me reaching out eight times via email and calling three times for over an hour, customer service said that there was a "communication error." Each time I reached out to customer service, they told me to wait and someone would reach out to me. By the time I needed the shirts, I was told that there was nothing they could do. They cancelled the order even though it was confirmed months prior. It was frustrating for me because I had spent so much time trying to get the shirts, but it was also disheartening because my students were depending on CustomInk to get their shirts for their dance performance. Custom Ink completely messed up my small but very special to me order of specialized dad camp tee shirts. They didn't read the special instructions that the lady who took my order over the phone left for them..which on the phone I asked her if they would notice that there was different writing on the back of each shirt and she swore they would. But of course they didn't so each shirt has the three titles for dad camp. Noone could have looked at that and thought it was correct or what anyone would have ordered..but they shoved it in a bag and kept it moving anyway. Gave me a refund which they should for a complete failure to meet the order. But doesn't help me have tee shirts for the kids to wear..do not recommend. Notified the company and was asked to take photos of a large shirt showing the dimensions with a tape measure. We obliged and were told to retake the photos showing the entire length of the tape measure. Our photos showed 3/4 of the tape length to the end. The implication being we were trying to deceive them. Provided my own design, and spent $25 to work with the art team to get a proof. They promptly sent a proof, but the color was wrong. So asked them to fix it to the same color that I had submitted, but that led to my project going into some vortex of no return. It's been a week, I've received about 15 different emails, each one from someone different, but none of them making any progress on my order. They just kept telling me to place my order, and that would give me access to the "art team." I explained I had NO interest in placing an order that I had no confidence was going to be correct. And I reminded them that I'd already paid $25 for access to the art team. But the next day I'd just get another email from another new agent advising me to place the order. So paying for a design fee was a huge scam that not only got me nothing, but also is apparently unnecessary as anyone placing an order would (theoretically) have access to this mysterious art team. Not only did I have to spend so much time and energy chasing down the money I raised, but on top of that, about half of the orders arrived with the wrong sizing and colors. Their website allows you to use college logos, but does not state anywhere on their website that you must be associated with that school to use their logo. A deeply frustrating experience with zero accountability We ordered custom swag for a major industry event with plenty of lead time -- our original delivery date was set for May 16. Over the following three weeks, we reached out repeatedly trying to get clarity on the order status. We sent multiple emails and got no replies. We were bounced between representatives -- Kate, Kaorlyn W, Damien B, and finally Gracie -- while we begged someone to please help us figure out what was happening. No one ever gave us a straight answer or even a reply to our emails until we asked for it over the phone. Once we finally got their team on the phone, we were told the date had shifted to May 20 -- still stressful, but manageable after we spoke with our event team and they thankfully agreed to this new delivery date. 2 days later we still hadn't heard anything so we called again to confirm this delivery date with an agent. They assured me they were working on the order and everything was going fine in production. Hours later, I received a follow-up email saying the order had been delayed again to May 22, due to a production issue that was never mentioned before. This wasn't a small change -- it meant we could no longer ship directly to our event, which we had clearly communicated from the start. We now have to scramble to reroute everything, eat the cost, and figure out how to get materials there ourselves. It reflects poorly on our team and our brand, even though we did everything right on our end. And now we don't even have the items for our event anymore. The best resolution we were given was a "sorry you experienced that. We can give you 20% back." and the chat was closed. It was all so insulting. What's worse is how exhausting the experience has been. We didn't feel like a valued customer. We felt ignored, misled, and like we were just being passed around. Really disappointing experience with Custom Ink. I completed a school fundraiser through their program following all guidelines. When I hadn't received my order I reached out to customer service and they told me an email was sent to me about the shipping date not arriving on time and "sometimes their emails do that". Changing the shipping date requires communication that includes a two-way response! I asked to speak to someone in leadership and they told me they'd say the same thing. I asked for the order to be rushed knowing I might have to pay more. They followed up with a passive aggressive email saying they couldn't do it. I would recommend not using CustomInk. Don't get me wrong, when the company first started they were great but as they've gotten bigger their customer and quality has gone way downhill. I recently ordered 55 shirts from them and the majority of the order was defective with the front center logo being off-center. When I contacted customer service about the issue I was informed that they have a 1/2 inch tolerance policy of centered prints. WTF!? Is centered pretty self explanatory? These are so bad that I can't wait for the cheap iron on transfer they used for my printing to wear off because at least then it will still be a hanes heavy weight hoodie. Now, it looks like something I tried to make at home. Nowhere does it make clear that the printing is just an iron on transfer - one that you could get at walmart and print on your ink jet printer at home. I assumed this would be screen printed and now see how they are able to do it so quickly. This won't last a single wash and it's almost embarrassing to wear with my company logo on it.
