They're take offs are far from complete and they pass the buck on personal responsibility. They can't even unload hardiboard siding they don't have the equipment , they claimed to have told me they couldn't deliver, without me supplying a forklift. But the truth was Joe never told me he couldn't deliver the product, his dispatcher did. But he then he said he'd figure something out. Then they both threw me under the bus to protect themselves for whatever reason, I couldn't care less what they said about me. But I thought we were good and worked things out. So as an act of good will I sent another house over to bid with MY OWN material take off and Joe sent a passive aggressive email to all my subs, and supplier's etc and in the email thread saying he wouldn't supply for THIS CONTRACTOR. All of this unnecessary passive aggressive behavior over a small disagreement started OVER A FORKLIFT. They claim thier customer service makes up for thier higher prices. But that is not so. My experience with Builders first source BMC UFP They have far superior customer service and material take offs that are always within 10%.. I just walked out of builders first source with everything I need and was treated fairly and with respect, as the way I am accustomed. Side note the owner of County line seemed reasonable and fair. But wouldn't fix anything.

When we got home, I noticed one was potentially full of mold and the other had a huge gash in it that was affected its integrity. When I tried to have them replaced, they said no - even though we didn't get to select the boards. They didn't return the boards, but kept them and then I had to buy a new board and they at least gave me new one board free that I got to pick out. It was a horrible experience and I wasn't trying to return bad boards I picked, they did the picking. Management didn't provide quality customer service and I know I will never go there again. The person who was at the register and the one who cut my new boards had supreme customer service - management can learn a thing or two from them.

After I am half way done he finally shows up and later I discover at home he loaded some of the crappy posts that I had already picked around. Posts that were horribly split and warped no less. Then I also discovered they had mixed 4 inch posts with the 3 inch posts so I brought home a few of the wrong ones also. Pretty disappointing way to run a business in my opinion. They carry portable power tools, glues, and stains, that sort of thing, and standard building fir as well as interesting dimensions of woods like redwood and hickory. For me, this place is a comfortable, old-fashioned oasis with quality woods and service. Keep it up, men!
