My impression is that this may be their mode of marketing, but I find it intrusive, offensive and predatory. I suggested they join the Austin Independent Business Alliance, and the caller replied that they advertise on KXAN. I bought a system from Dyezz, a local business who belong to the AIBA, and support local businesses. I shall elaborate my objections to the marketing strategy. If someone walked up to you and said, "Gee, that suit looks awful--I'm a tailor and I can fix it." How would you feel? Would you want to do business with them? If you had just had a major automobile accident, and a safe driving instruction school called and said, "Gee, sounds like your really need our services," would you react positively to that approach? The insensitivity of the caller and his hard sell approach didn't appeal to me. I think it would be far better to send a letter or a brochure through the mail, rather than calling.

They understood how concerned I was about any alarm testing frightening my dog. They were very understanding and warned me before any tests. They ran into a few issues because they were installing over a previous owners alarm, but were in and out quickly. A few weeks later, there were some alerts on my screen , I called in and they had an electrician out the same day to fix the problem. My favorite part about Allied is I can controll my thermostat and lights right from my phone with a free application, alarm.com. I love being able to turn my lights on and off when I am on vacation or turning down the thermostat on the way home so it is cooled off when I get in! Top of the line products available but did not try to up-sell me and were very knowledgable about the products/options and installation. They are not super speedy (in getting the actual job done....they are absurdly fast in calling you back and scheduling an appointment) but they pay attention to detail that you really need in this type of work. Any trouble I ever had with the system and they came out quickly and without any hassle. They treated me with respect and never assumed I was a stupid girl who didn't get IT/AV equipment. I then built a new house a few years later and wanted my builder to use Mesa to do the whole house wiring. He refused as he said he thought they were too expensive. I really should have insisted. I ended up having them come out after the fact to install my whole house AV equipment and set it all up. Again I was floored by how professional they were. They are on time. They call before they come. They call to follow up. They respond to emails in a timely fashion. They treat your house and belongings with respect. They are generally very pleasant humans who work there that I enjoyed interacting with on a personal level. Every single problem I've had with the AV equipment wether it be my kid's new PlayStation that I wanted hooked into the whole game room AV system, to crappy service from TWC who I couldn't get out to solve my problem that Mesa solved with no issue whatsoever, to fixing random blown bits of equipment that failed.....all without any hassle or headache. They placed the wires for the alarm panel in a space where even the smallest alarm panel won't fit. I've 3 sensors that are not working even when is the first time I try them. They don't want to fix or test their job and they want to charge me $100 per hour to send a technician. Take a look of the labels that they use to mark the wires. Very professional!

Having just moved to a new home in what feels like the middle of nowhere, we found ourselves trying to find someone reputable to come out and help us, once again, get out A/V setup going. I called J&J Audio Video Innovation to get a quote for mounting our beast of a television (52" Visio LCD tv) above our fireplace. This was especially challenging for us since our new fireplace was a stone fireplace from floor to ceiling. After sending Javier a picture of what we were dealing with, he provided us with a very reasonable quote, so we proceeded with the service. Upon getting here, he took the measurements of the TV and of the fireplace to ensure a perfect placement. What really made us happy was that he proceeded to protect the work area with blankets and other coverings to reduce the amount of dust and work debris from getting all over our new floors and furniture. Once he got the bracket and TV mounted, he worked to get our wireless DIRECTV box and AppleTV boxes attached to our tv to minimize the number of components on the mantle. Looking back, I wish we would've found J&J a long time ago because they know what they're doing! We look forward to having them set up our home audio and our video once we get settled in. Had a scheduled appointment to wall mount multiple TVs. They no showed for the appointment! Called…read morethem and rescheduled for the next day. They ended up putting MASSIVE holes in my walls by dragging the drill across the wall rather than actually looking for the studs! One of the TVs had a bottom mounted sound bar, that they couldn't identify that you had to remove ONE SCREW from the back of the mount to lower the bar and ended up mounting the sound bar to the wall! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND using these yahoos - they have NO idea what they are doing!
