I put out a request for companies to come by, give me their opinion of what needed to be done with recommendations on equipment. Out of the 4 I interviewed only Robert noted, what might seem like minor things, structural and WiFi issues that might/would affect what I wanted in the end. He came up with suggestions creatively and well within my budget. His first bid was crazy low, I know, weird. I asked him if I gave him 50% more what could he do. He upgraded key components but did not add anything. The original equipment was phenomenal, but the upgrade was unfrickin believable. The images on all TVs and especially the media room are so stunning . The sound, penetrating and enveloping. I do admit, Robert is slow at times responding to texts, calls or emails at first. He has a lot of projects and rightly so. I have had to text twice about post install stuff and he responded immediately, even when on site at another project. On one occasion he dropped everything and came to the house to reset one of the soundbars acting up. If he has availability and you need someone who actually listens to you, digests what you are saying and then implements your vision, not only to perfection, but better, You need Robert Goodall. I appreciate their efforts and time, but once installed they really were not able to problem solve issues. Their final resolve was all 4 of our tvs must have been effected by a power surge, despite all being on surge protectors. Called TV repair guy, who said no way based on channels and sometimes channels work and other times not. Tvs work on channel bands 2-13 and 13 up. Our tvs get clear channels depending on the time of day or tv. Even same time of day, one tv gets clear channel and others don't get it at all. So now we just stream everything clearly.

The 16K fridge arrived damaged and rather than just immediately making it right they put it off on a repair company to come out for a product that was purchased NEW (no way it was new). Long story longer, the company who they chose to deliver our fridge had zero business going so and was outsourced via Starpower-(probably to line their pockets). No one helped us and ultimately we were given the run around and they could have cared less about what they sold us. I 100% believe they are selling products known to be damaged/used returns which is why our fridge arrives in the shape it did and by the wrong company. I know because when we got it sorted out with the manufacturer, they sent the only company (per their words) who is allowed by them to install. The replacement also arrives fully wrapped, boxed, etc. the way you'd expect. Had we not gone to bat and put our own efforts into this, Ed Kellum and StarPower would have happily left us in a mountain of turmoil. I will never recommend them to anyone and wish we would have supported another business given what we found out on the customer side.

Upon initial visit we talked a bit on what our needs were and primary use. He then sent a few estimates with various components. He only uses quality products like Episode speakers, JVC projector etc. Once we set a date. Team smart homes came over and did quick work. We had our in ceiling speakers in the house up and working within a day. Day 2 they went to work on the media room. It was finished in a day and a half as well. They took care to clean up and mess that was made. We also had them convert our phone lines to internet lines. We had CAT5E lines running already to it wasn't a big chore but I was glad to finally have some use with those phone lines. We really love our home theater. Sound and picture quality couldn't be better. Also our Sonos music system with the ceiling speakers around the house is awesome. inside or outside you can control the music and volume with your phone/tablet. Highly recommend it.
