Couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Our project manager Tamir was exceptional -- responsive, organized, and clearly invested in the quality of the work. He kept the job moving at a surprisingly fast pace and promptly resolved issues as they arose. Pricing was competitive -- we got multiple estimates and Way To Go came in reasonable without cutting corners. You can see it in the finish quality: the stonework is clean, the tile on the curved bench is precise, and the side yard pathway turned out better than we imagined. Our pool cleaner gave high praise on the resurfacing work when he arrived for the first cleaning! Highly recommend for anyone looking to transform their outdoor space -- quality work, fair pricing, and a timeline that'll surprise you.

The remodel included changing the old plaster to mini pebble, installing new tile, adding a new LED pool light, and doing the deco seal around the pool. The finish came out great and it completely refreshed the look of the pool. Once all the materials were ordered and ready, the actual work was completed in about a week, which I was really happy about. Tamir kept everything organized and the crew stayed on schedule. I also appreciated that he was able to accommodate a couple of last-minute additions I requested during the project and made sure everything was taken care of. The crew did solid work and the pool looks great now. I'm happy with how everything turned out and would recommend Way To Go Builders if you're planning a pool remodel.

"Buyer beware before you consider Pulsar Construction in Torrance, CA"!…read more On July 15th, 2025, I submitted a request for kitchen/bathrooms renovation on Pulsar's website (including my zip code - see attached photo) on my Fusion at Southbay home. The same same day, received a response from Elena (office manager) stating "we are booked until September 21st and not accepting new project but we will put you on our waiting list". "Our team will contact you in case of any cancellations". After patiently waiting, 2-1/2 months, on September 29th, I received an update from Elena stating "Good morning Jeff!!! We are looking for a new project starting in November. Please leave us a note with the property address and your email. We will reach out to you after 10/10". So I did just that only to receive an immediate reply "Unfortunately, we are unable to help you because your zip code 90250 is outside our service area". This was very disturbing as we've been waiting 2-1/2 months and if this was known, we would have contacted another construction company. I responded to Elena "that is interesting, my home is 6.5 miles from Pulsar and clearly within your service area, per your website map". Elena replied "we can't consider your project since it is territorially located in Los Angeles". I explained to Elena, this is absolutely false as my Fusion at Southbay home with Hawthorne zip code 90250 is an "incorporated" city in LA county, the same as Manhattan, Redondo and Hermosa - in which my home literally borders MB/RB directly across Aviation Blvd. I then texted her all of the supporting screen shots (including map area of my home to Pulsar), Pulsar's website stating "We specialize in serving the SOUTH BAY of Los Angeles for 9 years". Elena, my home is in the "South Bay of Los Angeles. I requested to speak with the Owner only to be completely ignored by her going forward. In summary, my renovations would have been completed by now. I lost 3 months and have to start the entire process over again looking for another construction company. Again, potential customers - Beware of their misrepresentation and tactics!

Their…read moresophisticated knowledge and expertise, professionalism, and creativity are of the highest caliber. My project was extensive, including the removal of a wall, the creation of a vaulted ceiling, and a complete demo and creation of a new kitchen. Therefore, I took significant time and care in selecting a construction team. After meeting with Dmitry and Elena, I was confident that Pulsar Construction was the ideal organization to meet my needs, and this decision was validated throughout the process. Dmitry, Elena, and their team are extremely professional and organized. They provided a schedule of the work to be accomplished and met with me to discuss every aspect of the project. They facilitated every step of the construction and remodeling process. They obtained the required permits and addressed any concerns from the city. Elena provided excellent references for cabinetry, tile, flooring, and appliances and set up appointments for me. Of course, I was given the flexibility to obtain products from a business of my choice however, the references that she provided were of the highest caliber. I particularly appreciated that Elena was always willing and positive about meeting me at various sites to help me select materials such as flooring and backsplash. Her design and construction expertise were invaluable. One of the things I most appreciated was the frequent communication. I received daily texts and emails regarding progress made and any concerns or questions that arose. Also, I received prompt responses to my calls or texts. The team was flexible, working with me regarding my scheduling needs. Dmitry's and Elena's attention to detail and high standards of work were also greatly appreciated. They are hands-on, reviewing every task of the project. When they found a slight misalignment with the backsplash tile that was being installed, they had all of the tile removed and reinstalled so that it was perfectly aligned. They are perfectionists and treated my home like it was their own. Any challenge was met with impressive solutions. Dmitry was extremely knowledgeable and creative in finding solutions to challenges that arose. Through their professionalism, flexibility, frequent communication, positivity, and extensive knowledge, the Pulsar team greatly minimized the stress of what could have been an overwhelming experience. I was so impressed by their work, that I added several additional projects which they accomplished with expertise. Pulsar Construction is not only a business of the highest caliber, but every member of the team was consistently pleasant, thoughtful, and caring. They did everything possible to assure that my vision for my home became a reality, which it certainly did. I highly recommend Pulsar Construction and will definitely work with them on any future projects. I absolutely love my new home!!!

Our system was installed in December of 2020. So, this review has some value in reviewing the…read moremulti-year relationship between the supplier (XERO) and the consumer (me). It is not straightforward to review solar companies because, well, these are big $ projects and I don't get solar installed every month or every year. So, this review does not compare Xero to other solar companies. I would be writing a fairytale if I were to review them, say, against Tesla. Having that cleared up, let me start the review. First come the sales people. Did they take the time to understand what my wife and I were really wanting our solar system to do for us? Did they propose a system that would meet our needs? George B. was 'our' sales person. He is still with Xero 6 years later, albeit in a larger role. This is a very positive sign. Before you sign with a solar company, ask about turnover and who your contact will be as the project progresses. Xero gave us 'one stop shopping' and that has real value. George fielded all our questions, informed us of status and kept us informed about anything that impacted our project (everything from municipal permits, Southern Edison approvals, project progress, to Solar rebates. Xero continues to be stable. We had one 'sales' meeting where George worked with us to configure a system and set up a timescale and pricing. One funny thing did happen that I should tell you about. George assumed we were looking for a minimum cost system that would lower our electric bill. We had to explain that what we wanted was a system that would give the maximum backup power (battery plus solar) in case the grid went down. That type of system would then also have the property of giving us there lowest SCE bill. Our final system was: 40 panels, 4 Tesla Powerwalls, and all the support infrastructure needed. The price was in line with expectations, so we signed up. The project moved quickly. XERO produced the plans that would be submitted to SCE and the City for permitting. They also created all the paperwork that was needed to take advantage of the government rebates. We were having our roof redone at the same time as we were replacing a much older solar system with the Xero system. George coordinated Xero's work to put hardware in place to hold the panels so the roofers could seal the hardware against leaks. The installation of the solar system went quickly and according to the original schedule. We were up and running 'on schedule'. We have had a few problems since the 2020 installation. One of the LG panels died. Xero replaced the panel, but we also learned that LG is getting out of the solar panel business. If other panels die Xero said they would 'take care of it'. I trust them. Then, one of the Tesla Powerwalls kept tripping the first breaker between it and the rest of the system. That turned out to be due to the screw that fixes a (large) wire to a breaker loosening. Xero repaired that immediately. Probably the most concerning failure we had was that the main breaker, the Backfeed Breaker, that connects the solar/Battery Backup system to the grid, melted and disconnected us from the grid. We were running on battery and solar only for a few days. The good news is that the system as implemented can deliver enough power to run our home and charge our car from the sun alone. One of the very senior Xero folks saw the 'call for service ticket' and rushed right over on a Sunday afternoon. Then one of their very senior engineers came out and diagnosed and repaired the damaged system. This failure was also caused by a screw that fixes a wire to the breaker loosening. The installation crew used calibrated torque wrenches to torque every screw to its specifications. So, faulty installation was not to be blamed. Heating/cooling can cause this type of failure as the wire and screw are subject to expansion and contraction. Overall, Xero is great company. They are stable, have excellent leadership, proudly stand behind their brand, they don't leave you 'hanging', they are easy to deal with, they've been in business for quite a long time, they have a stable workforce. I recommend them highly. "But", you say "aren't you concerned about the failures? Especially the 'loose set screw' issue." Short answer: NO. These failures are bound to happen in electrical equipment that carries large currents (have a chat with one of the AIs about this). There are many issues that can cause such failures: heating/cooling caused by large currents that are not steady; for example switching Powerwalls from charging to discharging. Both loose connections were in high current areas where current direction changed frequently. The solution to these problems is 'maintenance'. Xero now offers annual maintenance contracts which will prevent the type of failure we have seen. That is the theory. We shall see how this works out in practice over time.

I contacted SCE, but after wasting a lot of time with them, they said there was "nothing they could do." After this frustrating experience I contacted Xero Solar because I didn't know what else to do. I first spoke to Rhetta, who was extremely efficient and helpful. She bent over backwards to stay in touch with me and followed through to make sure my issues were addressed. Then, she got Tina (also) from Xero Solar, to contact SCE on my behalf. Much to my amazement, they were able to negotiate with SCE to refund me the overcharges that should never have been applied in the first place. Mind you, my Tesla power wall had been installed over a year ago, and I doubt any other solar installer would stand by its customer this way. Xero Solar came through for me when I needed it. I highly recommend them for any solar needs.
