I spend an average of $60 per visit, which is too much money to have such a simple request ignored. Heavy starch is not a special or complicated request. It should be done consistently every time. When I walked in, she was assisting another customer, and I immediately noticed how rude and disrespectful she was toward them. My first instinct was to turn around and leave, but I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, that was a mistake. When it was my turn, I received the same rude and dismissive treatment. She was impatient, abrupt, and clearly uninterested in listening to what I needed. I was simply trying to explain and show her the alterations I wanted for my formal dress, but she repeatedly failed to give me her attention. What I found particularly unacceptable was that while I was trying to speak with her, she was sorting through another customer's clothing brought in for dry cleaning and placing those items directly on top of my formal dress. I found this careless, unsanitary, and completely disrespectful of my belongings. As a paying customer, I expect basic courtesy, professionalism, and proper care when handling my clothing. None of those expectations were met. The owner's attitude toward both the customer before me and myself was unacceptable. No customer should be made to feel unwelcome or disrespected simply for requesting a service. I brought in clothes from a photoshoot to get cleaned and to get a personal jumpsuit fitted since I'm so short. When I walked in I was going to go ahead and drop the clothes off to get cleaned first which she saw, but told me to get my hem started first. The lady wouldn't touch the hem because it was already hemmed on a portion of the clothes. I asked her to at least do the legs since that portion was untouched, she refused and kept telling me how the clothing is supposed to fit even though I'm the one wearing it and I had to keep reiterating I am short so it SHOULD NOT fit that way. I ended up telling her I would do it myself. When I proceeded to drop off the cleaning, now the lady conveniently can't clean the clothing which I assumed was due to the quality even though she saw the clothes prior to me dealing with the seamstress.
