I hate to do a negative review, but feel like I should let other people know this experience when picking a professional laundering service. I brought in some pillow case covers for cleaning. I specifically told them that the care instructions say spot clean only. They nodded yes and said that would be no problem. I pick them up a week later and nothing is said as the items are handed over. I get home and all of them are ruined. A tag is pinned to each one that acknowledges that they saw the damage, but makes it sound like they are stains that were already there that they couldn't get out, rather than damage caused by their service. I imagine they may do just fine with regular dry cleaning items but I would not recommend them for specialty items. Normally I would work directly with a business to remedy a poor experience, but in this case I feel like their response was already loud and clear with how they handled the situation. They made a mistake, actively chose to not take responsibility or to try to keep me as a customer. Gave an extra star above one only because they do seem like good people and may do just fine with standard, non-complicated items. read more

I have gotten dry cleaning, laundry shirts, and alterations done here. They did an excellent job in all categories. I was especially pleased with the cleaning and stain lifting of my not so pretty bra and my husbands white dress shirt I thought was beyond help. But it looked so much whiter! And the alteration lady saved my favorite pair of jeans by bringing in the waist. They're under new ownership and the owner is very sweet and you can tell she wants to make her clients happy. I've been going here for years with no issue and excellent service, unfortunately the ownership changed and the customer service and professionalism is at rock bottom with the new owners. Stains were left on my clothing, front counter attendee couldn't have cared less. The man in front of me in line had clothes missing and the sloppily dresses man at the front counter saiunapologetically shrugged and said "sorry man, I don't know what happened to them". I encourage all new and returning customers to find a new dry cleaning service unless you want your clothes to get ruined and then magically disappear. read more

I took in a very stained silk velvet gown from the 1930's, hoping they could improve it a little bit but not damage it. I am extremely satisfied with how it came out! Still in great shape and back to a pristine white. I'll be bringing in all of my vintage garments from now on! read more

This cleaning service is the best I have discovered since I have been in Vancouver, WA. The clothes I take in come out clean, pressed and better than ever. When I went by my normal Dry Cleaners today- they were closed. I waited for over 30 minutes- but by 8:30am (and supposed to open at 7:30am) I figured they were not going to show. I was a bit desperate as I needed my Military ASUs cleaned for a special Casualty Duty. If your military, you may know that Casualty Assistance Officers spend a lot of time in thier uniform the first 10 days of duty, and here I am on day 8, and I had some spills and normal wear. I needed them Dry cleaned by noon. I was figuring I was going to have to go without (I had tried Dryell the night before and it was not strong enough, though it did reduce the spill stains, but still not up to my standards- I would do if I had to). So I am driving from down Mill Plain looking for cleaners- already been to two places that have said they could not help me. I stopped at Custom Care and told the lady my situation and told her I was willing to pay more. The Lady was receptive, and went to the back to check without turning me away. By now it is 9:10 and I am thinking she is going to come back and say No, but she came back and said 'Yes, we can help you. It will be close, Maybe not by noon, but by 1pm - Is that ok?" It was! In fact- My uniform was not only ready by Noon , but they did not charge me any extra for the fast service. Here I am, writing this review at 1:27 (and I do not have to be at my destination till 3:30) with my uniform put together with it's rank, awards, and other items, cleaned, pressed and looking great. They really did a wonderful job. I wish I could post pictures here. Thanks Custom Care, you are helping this Soldier stand tall and proud tonight in her uniform tonight for a difficult duty. This help eliminates a lot of my stress as I go into this duty knowing that at least I am squared away. read more

+2 stars for not ruining my handmade quilt. +1 star for good reviews from friends -1 star for keeping my quilt for 4 days. -1 stars for not taking care of the stains. A couple friends had recommended this place; the staff was very nice and I appriciated the fact they never send your clothes to a third-party facility, everything is cleaned on-site! I will admit this was my first dry cleaning experience and I wasn't too impressed. They kept my quilt for 4 days and basically just made it smell nice. The stains on the underside were not taken care of. Overall I would rate my first experience with them at 3 stars. read more

I really wanted to like this place being that the staff seemed very friendly, but after a brooch from my wife's wedding dress went missing for a bit I unfortunately can't give this place the 4 stars I wanted to. I will be back as accidents do happen because let's face it, we are human! The reason I am disappointed is that when you bring items in that cost nearly $100 to clean and come in days after your pickup time you would expect all items to be put back on before pickup. I would still say that the staff is very kind and professional and that they even offered to deliver the dress to my house free of charge because of the inconvenience. Beautiful work, friendly and accommodating staff, free pick-up and delivery, free small repairs on items. Everything comes back professionally cleaned, pressed, and neatly wrapped. I have never had them not show up for a pick-up, nor be late for my delivery. I told them about a missing button a sweater and they found a similar button (not exact match) and sewed it on for me. Since it was on the sleeve up high, and only one per sleeve, it doesn't matter much. They are super-friendly and helpful, always. read more
