Throughout her time there, we received frequent reports about behaviors such as difficulty sitting still, trouble during nap time, refusing directions, and challenges with transitions. What became frustrating was that the communication often focused on what she was doing wrong rather than what supports were being implemented to help her succeed. As parents, we repeatedly asked what interventions were being used, requested behavioral observations, sought positive feedback in addition to incident reports, and worked to collaborate with staff. We were trying to understand the reasons behind the behaviors and find solutions together. Since leaving the program, she has been diagnosed with autism. Looking back at many of the communications we received, I cannot help but wonder whether her behaviors were being viewed primarily as defiance and misconduct rather than possible signs that she needed additional support and understanding. One of the most painful moments was being told that she was the only child in the class who behaved a certain way. As a parent, hearing a young child singled out in that manner was heartbreaking. Rather than increasing support, we were eventually informed that she could no longer attend a full day and would need to be picked up at noon. It felt as though the solution was to reduce her participation instead of finding ways to help her succeed in the classroom. I cannot speak to anyone's intentions, but I can speak to the impact this experience had on our family. We left feeling that our daughter was viewed as a behavioral problem to manage rather than a child trying to navigate challenges that were not yet understood. I hope this review encourages Creative Beginnings to reflect on how they support neurodivergent children and children who struggle differently. Every child deserves patience, compassion, and a genuine effort to understand what is behind the behavior.

First when we arrive at 9:10am, who we thought was the receptionist at the time was on the phone for about 6-8 minutes with her car insurance agency adding another vehicle to her policy. Once she was done with her personal call she acknowledged use. We later found out she was the director When we did the "tour" my husband and I saw the toys to be dirty. The outdoor bouncer and walker had cloth material that was EXTREMELY dirty. The toys looked as if they weren't wiped down. I addressed it with the director and she stated "oh we wipe them down daily". It did not look that way. My husband wiped the dirt off one toy with his finger and this was 9:15am. Mind you my nephews attended this center when they were 2 until they moved to the elementary. From what I remember it was alot cleaner 5-6 years ago. Even though the cleanliness was not at our standards we still enrolled her because my sister spoke highly of the center and my niece attended the summer program which was great. My 12 month daughter only stayed at the infant center for 4 days and I pulled her because on day 4 she had a busted lip. They THINK she fell attempting to walk leaning on a toy and falling forward but weren't too sure because she didn't cry and they saw her lip when they gave her an evening snack. My daughter had a lot of freedom in my home and she has never falling face first in the 12 months she's been home with me. On day one she was sent home with a bad diaper rash and dry crusty snot on her face. I addressed it the next day and they said they had tissue and would be more on it. Again my husband picked her up and she was dirty and dried snot on her face and dirty under her finger nails. The next Day i addressed once again and they said she gets dirty eating. My daughter had a runny nose that and from it looked like so that did not make any attempt to clean her up throughout the day and on Wednesday her diaper rash was worse. The daycare had destin I have to help prevent/ treat the diaper rash but it looked as if they didn't bother to use it. Thursday came around 4:45pm when I picked her up and she was dirty and the busted lip was my final straw. I asked why wasn't I notified about her lip and one of the teacher's stated "oh when only notify parents when they hit their head or have a serious injury". I became livid. A busted lip isn't considered a serious injury?!?! I asked them to pack up all her belongings and I went to look for the director. She was gone. I left her a voicemail and she called me back about an hour later. All she did was apologize and would talk to the staff. I told her I felt the money I spent on a week tuition and registration fees were a waste because they were not taking care of my child which is what I was paying for. She just apologized. I should have been offered some reimbursement for what my kid went through. They also DO NOT SEND UPDATES through the mama app. If their update are true my kid only had a diaper change once a day. I waited 3 weeks to write this review because my daughter started a new daycare the following week and I wanted to compare. This new daycare is AMAZING compared to creative beginnings. They send live updates of when my kid eats, sleeps and gets a diaper change. They also send me pictures of her participating in activities to develop her cognitive and motor skills. This daycare was a HUGE let down and waste of money and my poor kid suffered while being there and she can't even tell me what happened. If they gave her back to me the way they did I don't even want to imagine how she looked throughout the day or how they treated her.

To this day, whenever we pass by there, my child consistently expresses that they felt unhappy while attending during their time there, dislikes it, and does not miss going there and never wants to return. My child has shared that they felt treated unkindly by the Director, Ms. Yvette, particularly in connection with issues involving the other parent. No child should feel uncomfortable, mistreated, or negatively impacted due to circumstances beyond their control--especially in situations involving custody arrangements where a court order is in place awarded primary physical custody. Unfortunately, I was not informed or notified by the Director when incidents occurred involving the other parent and their partner, who created repeated disruptions and chaos at the daycare during the other parents custodial time. Instead, we were advised that our child could be asked to leave if those disruptions continued, despite the fact that neither my child nor I had any control over their behavior. This lack of communication and handling of the situation was both concerning and unfair. No child should bear or suffer the consequences of adult conflict. Although a meeting was eventually held to address these concerns, during which the Director, Ms. Yvette, indicated to both parents that the matter involving specifically the other parent and partner would be reported to the Department of Children and Family Services, I later became aware that no confirmation of such a report or the names of the two individuals was ever provided. To my knowledge, the matter was not addressed or reported as indicated by Ms. Yvette to DCFS which is very concerning. In situations involving potential disruptions and affecting a child's safety and well-being should be addressed promptly and handled with transparency to ensure safety concerns for the child. Additionally, I observed and witness the Director's conduct to be unprofessional at times, bias, and including making unfounded personal assumptions. My child consistently reported feeling treated unfairly, which is deeply troubling. I also had concerns regarding services that is expected as part of tuition, including the consistency of meal provision that were paid for, such as meals, were not provided as expected especially in comparison to other daycares. Since transitioning to a public elementary school, my child is now in a structured, supportive, and positive environment. My child feels safe, happy, and respected--everything a child deserves in an educational setting both academically and emotionally. I am sharing this feedback as a parent advocating for my child's well-being. Childcare providers play a critical role in ensuring a safe, consistent, and supportive environment, and it is important that concerns impacting children are addressed with appropriate care and professionalism-- something no parent should have to endure or experience!

From the very beginning when inquiring about information on enrollment and space we were always greeted courteously and warmly by the school's administrator, Veronica. Setting up our initial tour of the school was easy and we appreciated that we got a tour from one of the teachers who would be working with our 4 year old, so it was nice getting to know her a bit and asking her questions. During the tour, it was great being able to see all aspects of the school not just the areas assigned to their pre-k students but also where the infant area is, the kitchen where lunches/snacks are prepped the restrooms, playground, classrooms- everything! We also had the opportunity to ask questions about the schools teaching methods, curriculum, and experience of the teachers with Montessori so upon all of this, my husband and I made the decision to enroll our little one at MAOD. After 5-6 months of enrollment, we really are very satisfied in having brought our daughter here. It wasn't a smooth transition, there were days/weeks with lots of tears at drop off, but her teachers were patient and flexible with her needs, and I am happy to say she is doing great now. We love that the classes are small and there are two teachers per pre-k class. As parents we get a monthly newsletter with what's to come for the month and I always look forward to seeing her interpretations of different artists for "artist of the month" and hearing from her what she learned in school everyday. Most of the teachers are bilingual so it was a huge plus for us as our daughter is primarily a Spanish speaker which brings me to my next huge plus- in a matter of just a few months her English has improved significantly! We are amazed at how much English she speaks now compared to when she started. One of the other big pluses about MAOD is their incorporation of Montessori principles and we always love seeing when the kids are learning by doing. Her teachers, Ms. Patty and Ms. Sinttia are truly wonderful! They both have their special way of connecting and nurturing each student based on their needs, we truly appreciated how they each adapted to our daughter's needs as she transitioned into school full time. My daughter loves them both and won't stop talking about them at home. The app the school uses to communicate with parents is great too, I love that teachers update with pictures and important announcements consistently. Overall, we would definitely recommend MAOD to anyone looking to enroll their child in a ECE program. So much so that we will definitely be bringing our little one here when they are old enough to enroll in the future. I hope this review will encourage other potential families to check out MAOD, as we believe that it is a truly nurturing and caring environment for little ones as they begin their early childhood education. Ms. Ale also incorporates home projects, which I really appreciate.
