We had no real direction of how to get into the facility, and didn't know we had to enter through the back. No one was at the office when we arrived and walked aimlessly until a parent let us in and told us how to enter next time with our code. I will be updating this review as more time passes with the school and my child. As of today i love the daily pictures and updates in the portal. Very nice touch!

This school goes above and beyond to provide appropriate, individualized care for every child. They offer every opportunity for children to receive high quality learning experiences and diverse cultures. Their teachers are also incredibly knowledgable about child development which is surprisingly rare among preschools. My son has been attending since early 2022, and he has grown in so many ways! We are a primarily English and Vietnamese speaking home, so it has been really cool to watch him also learn and utilize Spanish on a regular basis due to his education at BESA. He also has a strong desire to learn to read, and his gross motor skills have come such a long way because of the daily opportunities he gets to run outside and play with peers! He also used to be a very picky eater, but since attending BESA he has begun to expand his palate and will try just about anything. He has also cultivated a love and appreciation for animals and nature itself, I believe due to his time in and around the school garden and its bunnies. During apple season, he would come home almost every day with an apple from the tree in their play yard. Green apples are now his absolute favorite fruit! BESA does accept subsidized care which has been a godsend. I thought because I could not afford preschool on my own, my son's educational opportunities would be limited. Not only has my son learned and grown so much (showing off the yoga, Spanish, math, and letters he learns daily), but BESA has also championed ME as a mom and human being! Their support has encouraged and allowed me to return to school and work which has given our family the chance it deserves to grow as a whole. Finally (though I could go on and on), I am grateful for their support of my family's unique parenting experience. My son's dad lives out of state, and we include bonus mama in our parenting decisions. BESA has gone above and beyond to make all three of us feel like equal partners in our son's education and development. They have been responsive and supportive each time we hit a behavioral challenge with our son, and they have been great with ensuring we are all involved and informed with their next steps as well as genuinely asking how they can support practices we already have at home. BESA really does intentionally hit all the parts of their name. High quality bilingual education, appreciation and cultivation of environmental science, intentional incorporation of all the arts (dance, music, visual, etc), which have supported academic development and absolute thriving socioemotional growth. Grateful to BESA in so many ways. If you're considering attending or getting on the waitlist, do NOT wait. Best early education decision I could have made for our family was attending BESA!

Within a few months of my child attending, I decided to pull her out. Though the front staff was…read morevery nice and respectful in the beginning , the teacher and her classroom aids behavior was outlandish. The last straw was when I spoke with the principal about having a parent teacher conference. I did not speak with my daughter about this and called the principal in the car after forgetting I was off for the day. After the conversation, I decided I would pick my daughter up early, instead of driving home and having to turn around and get her. I picked her up and she told me all about how the teacher and her aid loudly spoke in front of the class about how she's not going to meet with me and she's tired of me complaining. I knew she couldn't of made it up, because I just called and spoke with the principal in the CAR and now I'm picking her up 30 mins after the conversation and my 8 year old knew every detail. She said it made her feel uncomfortable and embarrassed.I did follow up with the principal about that. The next week front offices attitudes greatly shifted towards me. That same week, my daughter was accused of writing a note and was verbally reprimanded. Upon investigating it was found that an older student in the bathroom told her to write the note. That was the same student who "found " her with the note and reported her. It was clearly a set up because the older student did not receive any reprimand. There was no follow up and my daughter's verbal reprimand remained. No! I pulled her out at the end of the semester! Another parent pulled their child the following week. Some parents love it and have been there for years no problem so it honestly just depends.

Highly don't recommend any parent to put their children in this school . My daughter attended this…read moreschool since kindergarten, and while things started out fine, her last two years here were very disappointing. The staff are consistently disrespectful and rude, often speaking to the children in an outrageous and unprofessional manner. My child, along with many others, would frequently complain about how the staff treated them--not only during school hours, but also in before- and after-school programs. I had to visit the office several times to address these concerns with the principal, but there was never a real solution. Instead of handling situations appropriately, the staff seems to write students up for the smallest issues--forgetting that kids are just being kids, and not every situation warrants a disciplinary report. The front office staff are equally unprofessional, often speaking disrespectfully to parents and even gossiping about families and students with other staff. This creates unnecessary drama and a toxic environment. Rather than uplifting children, this school tears them down. It claims to be a Christian school, but sadly, the values and conduct of the staff do not reflect Christian principles. After everything my daughter and I experienced, I ultimately made the difficult decision to withdraw her from this school.

She is great with my son. He can be a handful at times but she has great patience with him. She definitely is great with infants and small children. My son easily goes with Sandy when I drop him off and he is always in good spirits when I pick him up. If any of you moms is wondering about Mapledale I would definitely recommend it to you. I know how stressful and scary it is to leave your child to go back to work but I am glad I found her. Hope this review helps all you other moms that are wondering about this place.

Sandy and staff are lovable and always give the kids attention. We would recommend this daycare to anyone that is looking for a good quality inexpensive daycare.

The foundation he built at Arc en Ciel was incredible -- socially, academically, and especially with his Spanish. He still spends time with the friends he made there, and he always loved going to school. Our youngest is almost 3, and even though he misses going with his big brother, he loves it just as much. His Spanish vocabulary is growing so quickly, and it's amazing to see how confident he's becoming. The teachers are truly exceptional -- nurturing, communicative, patient, and so intentional with the learning environment they create. We always felt our kids were safe, supported, and cared for. They have so many activities including: painting, gardening, circle time, trunk or treat, jog a thon, a carnival and so much more. We LOVE Ms. Melanie and Ms. Susana, and Ms. Charlotte is such an attentive and responsive director. There are others including Ms. Maribel and Ms. Drea that aren't our daughter's teachers, but they are kind and sweet. The whole team is awesome which makes it a great place to be. We honestly wish the school went through elementary we'd stay forever!
