I just had the most horrific experience with a driver working from R & S Plumbing and Heating. I am…read moreliterally shaking from this man's lack of human decency. I haven't been to Eagle River since the new McDonald's was built. I've been pulling into their parking lot my entire life. So I wasn't expecting that they'd changed to two enter and exit lanes when I pulled into the suicide lane on Eagle River road. There was a car pulling out of the lot which blocked my view of the exit sign in my line of sight. So I pulled in beside them as they pulled out with plenty of room. That's when I came face to face in my little car to this plumbing van. The man pointed to the exit sign, now clearly visible beside my vehicle. I promptly made an "oh my goodness, I clearly didn't see that!" face before motioning, asking if he would back up a few feet and let me through. Common decency and compassion would dictate the following response: this woman didn't see the new sign, I'll just back up a few feet and let her safely pass. Now she'll know for future reference that the parking lot structure has changed. That is not what this man did. No. He crossed his arms and shook his head and decided I needed to learn a lesson. He refused to move the few feet it would have taken for me to safely enter the lot. Instead he forced me to backward into oncoming traffic on the busy main road through Eagle River. At this point I am flabbergasted that this man lacked all compassion and forced me into a dangerous situation because he simply refused to move. At this point I'm upset that I, a pregnant woman with my mother, was faced with gunning it to get to safety. At this point I'm absolutely baffled that he REFUSED to move a few feet to let me pass. It gets better! The man drove back around and waited for me to go through the drive thru so that he could yell at me! That's right. He looped back around, parked, and waited for me to come back out. So I whipped out my cell phone, took a picture of him, which he did in turn, and proceeded to leave the lot. Again driving the wrong way for sake of getting my picture. Which NO ONE else cared about or even noticed. And this man got out of his van and followed me around the parking lot to continue to yell at me. Needless to say, I left McDonald's shaking and in tears, under waaaaay more stress than is healthy. We will never do business with R&S Plumbing and Heating. This man is everything that is wrong society, forcing someone into a dangerous situation because he was too inconsiderate to step aside. I'm starting my day absolutely horrified and trying to calm down. My baby does NOT need this level of stress .

It was -10 degrees this morning and my homes 3rd day without the boiler fixed. This company has…read moredone a terrible job in both service and accepting responsibility for negligence. After getting the boiler temporarily working 2 nights ago while parts were ordered to install the the following day, the plumber Bruce left the cover off the boiler after starting the boiler up. When I went out to check on the space heater in that area, I noticed the cover off and thought, "huh he left the cover off? Well he's the professional so I guess it's fine." I should have followed my instinct but thought that him being the professional must have known it was fine. Now that I reflect, he should have known better to leave the safety cover off operating machine. About 30 minutes after he left a pipe burst in the boiler room completely soaking the unprotected boiler. I talked to the receptionist and asked her to consider crediting the parts that need replaced due to water damage and that time while I paid the pipe repairs and original boiler repairs. She said she thought that was reasonable and would talk to the owner and Bruce in the morning. In the morning I got a call from the Receptionist, Cindy, stating that the owner said that everything must be paid in full and that Bruce was not responsible for the water damage to the uncovered boiler. She insitsted on payment right away for services. I requested the invoice first before I give my card over the phone. I didn't feel comfortable paying the bill without considering legal council. A few hours ago, I received another call from Cindy saying that the owner said that until the bill was paid in full, they were not going to come out today and fix it. I asked why they would hold my heat hostage and pay for services that haven't even happened yet? She said they had the part I needed and wouldn't install it until I paid. Again it is below zero, we have been relying on wood stove and electric space heaters. We haven't slept more than 2.5 hours at a time at night to ensure that house was heated. This is a moral issue that this business wouldn't accept accountability for an issue that could have easily been resolved. I have a new company coming out today and should have heat tonight. Wish I would have went with them to start with. And it turns out the part that K&L said cost $640.00, actually costs $380.00
