GAME is one of the leading retailers of games, with over 300 stores in the UK alone, and have…read morebecome more of a bigger brand since the merger of Gamestation and Game after they went into administration in November 2012. This particular store, is located in Manchester Fort and is a decent size. The staff here always seem nice, and they have always put things aside for me in the past, and it was easy enough to collect them, it seems to have good stock such as the Rugby 15 game on Xbox, which is like gold-dust, with every Argos in Greater Manchester having sold out, and even a good amount of Game stores. This store seems to stock a good range of games, as commented on above and the queues seem to not be out of hand, and just average based on my recent visit. One thing I do not like is that Game also have to charge 5p for a plastic bag now, although they have no control over this as it is a government scheme, I do feel that the charges should be more lenient when shopping in stores like Game, or even clothes stores. This store, as all game stores I know of, takes game rewards and you can receive your money off here, so that is good as it helps you save some money on your games, although it still doesn't beat the Tesco Clubcard scheme (although I can't comment too much, as I'm not a regular shopper at Game), but it still is easy to rake up a couple of pounds, and unlike Costa, you can knock it off whenever you want, whether it be 10p or 100 pounds, even if your item costs considerably more, or less than your balance. Overall, this is a nice store with very good staff and good stock, which is great competition for the very cool, all digital Argos store also in the retail park. I feel this store deserves 3 stars as it is a good store, although it isn't perfect with the pricing on numerous items.

All the staff here are friendly (floor workers and even the security guards!), and always happy to help and even stop for a little chat, most recently I was able to come back into the store, after noticing a lower price from Amazon, they were happy to match this price for me, the process was made so easy, I barely had to explain myself and was in and out of the store in a couple of minutes. I always prefer buying my Apple products directly from Apple due to their service, and warranty, the 14-day guarantee to try a product and return if it isn't fit for purpose, shows how Apple are so confident in their products. I also love how they have let me pick up my order earlier than the allocation window, and generally don't mind doing this as long as the item is in stock. This Apple Store is a large one, for a mall location, but what it lacks in having a big, fancy building, it makes up for in terms of being one of the best stores in the Manchester Arndale in terms of product selection and service and is always a reliable shout to buy Apple products or get them repaired, or even if you fancy popping in to get fast WiFi speeds while in town.

Over an hour later, I was still there and had to go home and transfer it myself at home. I was passed between assistants three times - all going off on their break or whatever - each one trying the same thing over and over, until eventually, someone with some level of expertise located the problem. But this meant I had to go home and do it myself at home. And will have to return tomorrow to do the trade-in. More of my time and money and wasted because, frankly, the people who work there were not expert enough to troubleshoot. I thought it was poor being passed from one assistant to the other.

This is a bright store compared to other Game's, normally Gamestation's are dark and Game stores are bright and hence since the merger that hasn't change, especially with the Manchester Arndale's two branches. I came in here today, to ask the difference between the Day Zero and Standard edition of the new Call of Duty - After being given the Day Zero edition in the other game store, he explained the differences quite well, as I am not up with all the games in that catergary, he could of explained it better but I relativley understood even though his explination was more towards tbe stores target market of hard core gamers. Before going into administration, Game prices were really high priced, but now the prices have came down, they is some really good deals like they had for Black Friday and some, all year round but still some products are far too high compared to sites like Amazon. This store has a better selection than the other GAME store in the Arndale but this is probably because it is at least 3 times as big as it and the layout of games does seem easier to see. Despite being better than the other Game in the Arndale, as I have not purchased from this store in quite a long time, I can only match my rating for the other GAME store because I have not had a proper look at all their products and prices in this store, selection and bought a product in quite a while, It would be unfair to judge this store now on a experience of 1, 2 even 3 years ago so I can only judge based on my experience dealing with a member of staff and having a quick look round today.

I've always found if you go to the Apple Store, you can be waiting even after your appointment time, but most of the time here they're happy to see me on time, or even a few minutes early/late either way, without much of a wait, just ring the RING doorbell and a staff member will come and assist, no problem. While there was a delay in ordering my iPhone 12 Pro Max, meaning I had to buy it from Apple instead as I didn't want to wait up to "30 days", I can't blame them for that as this would have been affected by COVID and government lockdown at the time. Sync has been providing essential services during all lockdowns and they've been doing a good job, I recently entrusted them to repair my Airpods under the SYNC3 warranty, and within days of dropping them off, they were replaced, I didn't even need my receipt as they found my details on the system, they called me as soon as they arrived and couldn't have made it more quick and easy, the only problem was I had to leave my old Airpods with them (They were still usable, but constantly disconnecting with connectivity issues to Siri, once or twice a day), but I understand this is to prevent people starting a repair, and then people don't come in and collect it, that wouldn't be fair on them, considering how fast it was, I had no problem borrowing some wireless headphones from my friend for a few days. 5* - Fast and Reliable.

Review for CeX Arndale Manchester - A Wasted 24 Hours and a Damaged Device…read more I regret to say that my recent experience with CeX Arndale Manchester was not only deeply disappointing but also a telling symbol of why this company may not exist in the next 20 years. I handed in a pristine device, expecting a straightforward evaluation, only to have 24 hours of my time wasted, only to be told that my phone was "not sellable." More disturbingly, the device was returned to me with two fresh marks/scratches that were not there before. The damage was done, quite visibly, and the person who returned it to me a female staff member seemed unaware or indifferent to the fact that the device had clearly been mishandled during their assessment process. This kind of carelessness is not just unacceptableit i s corrosive to any customer-facing business. The irony here is tragic: the very company that prides itself on being a marketplace for used electronics seems to be accelerating its own obsolescence by treating both customers and their devices with such disregard. If this is how CeX treats the people it relies on to sustain its inventory, it's no wonder many consumers are moving toward decentralized tech trade-ins and platforms that operate with transparency, speed, and respect. In an age of intelligent automation, blockchain-based transactions, and next-gen peer-to-peer resale models, CeX's archaic and inconsistent service model epitomized by the careless behaviour I witnessed today is writing its own demise. It's no longer just about product margins; it's about trust, precision, and a future-ready approach. On all of these, CeX failed. This experience has left me unhappy and disillusioned, and unless there's a radical shift in professionalism and process, this may well be my last dealing with CeX.

I'm not the biggest fan of CeX, however, this store is okay, it is quite a large store, located…read moreinside the Manchester Arndale, close to TKMaxx and the new Halle Place Dining Quarter. CeX is a second-hand goods chain, of course, that means the products you are buying are used, I do find most of their prices to be a little expensive, especially on newer releases, CeX defends this by saying "They are trying to combine getting the best possible trade-in price and the best possible sales price", but I just think the trade-in price is often too low, and the sale price is often too high, on some newer releases in games/phones, the price can often be the same OR more expensive to buy the game from here, compared to a new version from a different retailer within the shopping entre or Amazon. Although the queuing system could be dealt with better and seems to be a little messy at times, the staff seem friendly enough. They do have some cheap hidden gems here of older games and DVD's which is pretty handy, which is probably the only reason I use this store for now. 3*
