We didn't find much of interest to eat in Torrey, but while driving to Capitol Reef, we passed by a billboard for Curry Pizza, proudly exclaiming that they were featured on DDD. Guy Fieri has never done me wrong, so we booked a trip over after settling into our hotel for the evening. We decided to order online since we find pizza usually takes a little while to cook. Our estimated pick up was 30 minutes after order. When we stepped in, it wasn't that busy for a Monday April evening, with only two tables occupied. We were greeted by the cashier and told it wasn't quite ready yet. The order ended up taking 40 minutes total. One thing we immediately noticed was that the pricing in store didn't match pricing online. For example, the Bhinda Special Pizza Medium Size we ordered for $17.95 online was $21 in store, and the Garlic Naan was $4.50 online but $5.50 in store. I guess they have some updating to do. Bhinda Special Pizza, Medium ($17.95 online) - The pizza is pretty unique since it doesn't use a traditional pizza dough and instead is on a naan-like base. The edges of the naan are crisp, but the interior portion are unfortunately dry and tough. It's oblong in shape and completely flat, unable to bubble up due to the toppings. The crust is honestly not very good. It's very floppy, dense and tough. While advertised as being a 12" pizza, I measured it at only around 11" by 10". The naan is first spread with a base sauce that gives off a tiny bit of heat, amplified by the fresh jalapenos placed on top. I don't eat too much Indian food so I can't really begin to describe the spice mix or the sauce used in lieu of tomato sauce. The flavors are layered pretty well though. They are quite generous with the toppings, although they don't overload the pizza so it's not soggy at all. There's chicken that's tandoori-style with pink edges, plenty of fatty mozzarella, garlic and ginger to add more flavor, then a variety of different vegetables, including cauliflower, mushrooms, and onion. (2/5) Garlic Naan ($4.50 online) - This is a really thin naan and is very tough in texture. There are crackly and bubbly bits, which look nice but doesn't make the texture any better. The naan is covered with a cilantro garlic mix that's quite sweet. It's about 14 or 15 inches in diameter, so it's probably equivalent to a large pizza in size. There's a bit of a smoky flavor. (2/5) Overall I found the naan from Curry Pizza to be subpar. Unfortunately they use it as a base for the pizza, making it tough and dense. After reading the reviews, I was really excited for the uniqueness of this place. Indian and pizza together in harmony? Bring it. Well, it was good. They have online ordering which made it really easy for quick and fast pick up. I ordered the tikka masala pizza and a small was enough for a couple meals. I like that its thin crust but the flavor I was expecting just wasn't there. I thought there was going to be som spice with the jalapeños but again, lacking. My mouth is still celebrating the party it had tonight. Veggie Coconut Korma, medium hot, was at its best, for the second time in two weeks. Proven consistency is important for both locals and for guests. As a local, I really appreciate it. When we bring family and guests, this place gets raves from them as well. For somewhere that advertises wings on their sign it was definitely a let down seeing the frozen breaded wings come out of the freezer the sauce wasn't bad but the wings were so so soggy! Grabbing them the breading was sliding off due to the sogginess. The pizza was fine but didn't taste like tikka masala at all! There was barely any sauce on the pizza (which is the tikka masala). If you told me it was a regular pizza with no curry flavor I'd believe you. It wasn't horrible but again for somewhere that advertises curry pizza, I would think they'd have lots of flavor. The service also took 40 minutes which was so long and people who ordered after us and got far more food were served first. Overall would give a 5/10! So amazing to find Indian food in the middle of nowhere - totally surprising. And they have amazing Indian style pizzas! Quite a wide range of variety. We ordered curry paneer pizza and oh my god what a heavenly goodness after long day at national park. The pizza was fresh and it tasted even better the next day with all that curry flavor. Craving some food after being out and about. Curry Pizza was open and I was intrigued with an Indian style pizza. This did not disappoint, it completely satisfied what my partner and I were craving. This place but another location was featured on drive in and dives. The pizza is like on naan bread and their speciality ones have curry sauce on it. It's light and delicious. I really liked the honey curry and the sausage pizza. The sausage they put on it is very good. For one of the pizzas we got it looked like plain cheese but then underneath the cheese was actually pepperoni. That was interesting but I wasn't expecting that. I wouldn't have eaten it if I knew it was pepperoni. They have lots of veggie options and can do gluten free too. Affordable and small place but with a decent amount of tables, they fit all 40 of our tour group. One bathroom in the back. There isn't much near capita reef park. We love curry, and we love pizza, so finding this restaurant was like a gift. The food was incredible! Best meal we had the entire trip. The butter chicken tikka masala pizza was incredible. Lots of chicken with that delicious curry flavor. And it was only like $25 for a large pizza - for how much food we got and how good it was, I expected it to be more. We also tried the strawberry lassi, a flavored yogurt-based drink. I had never had a lassi before so I wasn't sure what to expect. But this drink was wonderful - a little thick, just sweet enough, and the yogurt really pulls it all together. If we had eaten at the restaurant, I would've gotten more than one. Plenty of indoor seating, and parking was super easy. They seem very supportive of the local schools as the walls are decorated with different memorabilia, so that's super cool. Staff were kind and efficient. 100% recommend stopping here when in the area. You will not be disappointed. read more

Went camping with some close friends in Utah and saw this spot on our way to our campground. I am an Indian food lover so I had to give this spot a try. My friends and I shared some yummy samosas and a 12' pizza. The employee that assisted us recommended the Bhinda Special Pizza that comes with Chicken tikka, paneer or tofu with mozzarella, garlic, ginger, cauliflower, mushrooms, green & red onion, jalapeños, fresh basil, cilantro, garlic salt, & fenugreek on curry. We placed our order for the same pizza that the famous food channel guy tried, the Bhinda pizza with chicken tikka. We chose a 10-inch for two of us, which was more than enough, but I got the slight impression that our "small" order for two annoyed the owner. I understand it's important to make money, but there is no need to show one's feelings about how much customers spend. I mean, the pizza was 20 bucks for a 10-inch. Ok...back to the pizza. It was amazing. I know that word gets used a lot, but it was delicious, flavorful, and definitely unique. All the ingredients played well together and it was good. This little but great spot is a feast for your taste buds. We came here while driving from Bryce to Moab. The place is run by two staff members but they do a great job in bringing the food out fresh and quick. We got the bhinda pizza which was an absolute treat. The crispiness of the crust, perfectly melted cheese and the toppings including chicken tikka pieces were perfect to the T. I am salivating thinking about the great food here. When looking for a place to eat on our way to Capitol Reef NP, my partner's face beamed as he looked at his yelp app. He enthusiastically announced that he had found just the place for us - an Indian Pizza place in a small, isolated town - with more than 4-stars- exactly on route and exactly when our stomachs started grumbling! It sounded far too good to be true!! I asked him if he was pranking me... It wasn't a prank - nor was it too good to be true - it was wonderful! Once we saw the sign outside that advertised that Curry Pizza was on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, we turned the car around and were excited to try this joint. Food: 5/5. I was impressed by the creative menu! I had the 16" Bhinda's Special Pizza (5/5) and Mango Lassi (5/5). I have a low tolerance for spice, so pizza was EXTREMELY spicy to me. Don't order this pizza if you can't handle spice!! I could only eat one piece, but it was very well-seasoned, and I was sad that I couldn't handle eating more. My friends happily devoured the rest of the pizza without me. Fun fact: the gentleman behind the counter even told me that there are ~87 ingredients in this pizza. The diary in the mango lassi was sweet and thick! It was a welcome treat after eating the one slice. If I lived in the area, I would certainly come back to try the rest of the Indian-inspired pizzas. Service and atmosphere: 3/5. We stopped in on a Saturday night, and the joint was poppin'. Most of the tables in the restaurant were filled by the time we left at 8 pm. While the service was fine, in the middle of dinner, the dining area started to be filled with a light haze reminiscent of the smoke that fills the air when I've burnt food in the oven. I assume that the ventilation in the kitchen area was not working. This smoke made my eyes burn slightly. We left shortly after this. Overall: 4/5. The crust is on the thinner side so if you're reallllly hungry and splitting between two people I would probably get something additional to share like samosas. We got our pizza to go, but I will say during our wait time the restaurant was smoky and I felt like the staff was very overwhelmed. I must start this review with my one and only complaint, that this small chain is only local to a few towns in Utah. If anyone deserves to become a national chain, it's these guys! We had the Bhinda special pizza with paneer. Between the heat of the spicy curry sauce and the hot pepper toppings, this was a spice lover's dream. The toppings, sauce, and cheese were complimented by a perfect wood-fired crust. We can honestly say we have never had a better pizza. If there was a location about 500 miles closer to home than this one, we would go every day. I'm so glad we stumbled upon this place! I was growing desperate driving from Capitol Reef NP in search of food. We came on a random day at about 3 o'clock. There was one other person, but the rest of the place was empty. The man who took our order was quiet. We wanted to try some classic flavors so we got the samosas and the tika pizza. While waiting, something smelled very burned and smoke semi-filled the restaurant. It was a bit offputting. The man who took our order also kept laying down on a bench and watching videos. I get doing that when no one is around, but it was just a tad odd. When we got our food, it was delicious! The samosas were flavorful and packed full! I loved the sauce that came with it. The pizza was yummy too! I used the sauce that I was given with the samosas for the pizza as well and it had great flavor. I'm definitely glad that we came by!
