This is THE most popular restaurant in Fort Wayne among my friends and family local to the area and…read moreafter MONTHS of hearing about it, I finally got to try BB for myself last night when we ordered takeout. So I am sure this review will need an update when I eventually go and dine-in. As for the takeout experience, everything was wrapped up carefully and put in high-quality plastic containers. Also, everything was very clearly labeled which is very appreciated! Once we portioned everything out, we dug on in! Between the 3 of us, we ordered 3 different kinds of paneer entrees, 1 chicken dum biryani, 2 vegetable samosas, 1 coconut naan, 1 butter naan, and 1 chana masala. Our orders also included 3 cups of rice. I tried everything but my personal order was the chicken biryani (1000/10 rating!) and the coconut naan. I was the only non-vegetarian among us so I got the chicken dish all to myself! All 3 paneers were great, but the best was the slightly sweet paneer manchurian dish! The saag paneer was a bit too goop-y to be a favorite of ours. The vegetable samosas were crispy and not excessively oily. My coconut naan was a great sweet naan, covered in a LOT of coconut flakes! And like I mentioned before, the chicken biryani is a must try! The picture doesn't show it, but underneath the first layer of rice are two big hunking thighs of delicious chicken! I can see why this is considered not only the best Indian restaurant in FW, but one of the best restaurants in the area! I am looking forward to dining in and getting a mango lassi!

I opted for the jack BBQ burger and fries. And we split spring rolls. The spring roll was fresh and huge. Sauce was amazing. The spring roll was so big I was full and only ate half my jack bbq burger. The lack bbq burger was also a generous portion. The bbq jack fruit was really good with homemade bbq sauce and cole slaw. Also the fries were a basket and hot and good too! Generous portions and had to take some home. There is nothing wrong with this lunch. It is reasonably priced. Generous portions, fresh veggies and super good. I did not miss meat. I'd eat here once a week of if I lived close. It's small but has about 10 tables to eat in. The service was very good and attentive. She was sweet. Good find it just happens to be vegan.

The pho was good with beef and vegan shrimp but I wished they had more veggies which I'm use to at other pho places that offer veggie pho. The udon noodles was thinner than expected but the soft texture was nice and tasted good. The asparagus steak was hearty and filling which also came with rice. The chili cheese fries were awesome and very good, the Golden soup had a multiple blend of goodness with all the ingredients made it hearty and delicious. It was hard to decide what to order, but definitely a good reason to come back and try again.

They also serve some appetizers. We ended up getting the Perugu Samosa and Samosa Chaat. The Perugu Samosa was bland even after asking for it to be spicy. I wish there was at least some tamarind for sourness present. The Samosa Chaat was a little spicy but still lacked the flavor we wanted. The size between both was also very different. I don't want to judge quickly so I do want to try the other chaats.

The owner took the time to introduce himself, tell us about how street food is served in India, about his background in food service, the need for authentic Indian groceries and recipes in the area and so much more! He was please we wanted to try several items on the menu. He said he was so happy that we enjoyed the food. And we did! It was so good. The others in my party can handle spicy food but I can't and he was so kind. They make everything from scratch to order so you can get everything without the "spice". He changes the menu frequently so we can try new things - which is great! and the prices were so reasonable - especially lately it seems like prices are going up all around. The ambiance isn't what you would expect of a regular sit down restaurant but that's OK! The food is worth it. There are places to put your food and eat standing up and a few benches if you need to sit. We will go back and would like to encourage you to try it too! so good!
