Just the right amount of spice . It was plenty to share with an extra order of basmati rice . We got the garlic Naan . This was really good too . Good fast service . I wanted to come here because of the Bobby Flay connection and because a friend was told that they have really good Chole Bhatture. The servers were very nice and friendly. Their British accent only made them nicer :) Each entree comes with two sides (could be a naan, rice, raita, etc). I got the pindi channa masala (which is the chole) and the Bhatture. My friend got the coconut chicken curry and garlic naan. The pindi channa masala was DELICIOUS! Perfectly cooked and seasoned, it reminded me of home. The Bhatture were just ok. I wanted the crunch with the softness on the inside but I think they were a little more crunchy than I usually like them. They weren't super oily which is a big thing for me. The coconut chicken curry would probably have been good, but I think its allure faded in comparison to the pindi channa masala. The garlic naan was good. The raita was also very very good! I would say the food rating is probably around 3.5 but I'm giving 4 stars for how nice everyone was. This is definitely my go-to place for pindi channa masala now! Parking can be tricky. Park in the first street spot you see!

If their managing chef can beat the legendary Bobby Flay you know your in for a treat. For a party of two we ordered the Lamb Korma, Shrimp Vindaloo, Large Rice, Garlic & Basil Naan bread and two large Indian Beers. Yum. Great service, super clean. Highly recommend.

There's Indian food, there's good Indian food, and then there's Curry & More. Best of San Diego? Best of California! In its newest location, Curry & More holds down a prime spot in downtown Oceanside and is a must visit. Chef Obi is a second generation restauranteur and this spot holds up with fine dining in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Tokyo, and other international food hot spots. We'll be back!

Service is great. Dining area is clean, a little small, but functional. The food is prepared to the proper textures of the proteins. The naan is great, I really enjoyed the goat cheese kulcha naan. The veggie korma disappointed; the veggies seemed to be the standard frozen green bean, carrot, and corn blend you can get at a grocery store, they lacked good texture and flavor. I was hoping the veggies would be more seasonal and fresh, if they were fresh they did not receive good handling. I also had the Bhuna Gosht which was ok. There's a lot of places on the list before I make it back here.

Visited for the first time today. I didn't even know this place was here! The restaurant is nice and clean inside and the waiters are very friendly and hospitable. The food portions are very generous. The food is super tasty too. The naan bread is everything; super fluffy and warm a bit crunchy but just the right amount. Definitely will be back here.

This is the worst Indian food restaurant that myself, and my family have ever eaten and all of San Diego County. The food was horrible.. If I could give below a 0 over five, I would have. I am north Indian so I know what I'm talking about . We ordered two chicken biryani's, and they tasted like we had bought them from McDonald's.. It was dry old rice and tasted disgusting and did not even have all the components biryani should have.. we ordered garlic naan, which was chewy and had this cheap butter oil with probably salted garlic instead of garlic on the naan. The yogurt, chutney tasted old and disgusting.. We ordered saag paneer, also known as puréed spinach with Indian cheese that was more brown in color than green and tasted more like cream with very little spinach. It's funny because the host had said that they had been quite dead and empty in that restaurant for the last 3 weeks and I should've taken a hint, but I was in a hurry to take out food and I don't live close by.. This restaurant needs to be inspected by the county for its food quality or I should say lack of..

Is this not a Michelin star restaurant? Maybe not every item is as good as the Chana masala?? The Chana masala is absolutely surpassing all expectations many times over. The flavour is so rich and so multileveled. The only thing I would do differently is add a contrasting flavour like ordering some pickles or something. I want to take everyone I know to get this Chana masala. I'm no expert on Indian food, but I have eaten food from around the world and this is one of the best dishes I've ever had. read more

Walked around downtown to find a place to eat and found this. Food was really good and service was very attentive. I ordered a mild chicken tikka masala, the portions were really big, I had about half leftover. They came to our table multiple times throughout to make sure we had water, we didn't even have to ask. Yum!! Seriously, YUM!! There were 4 of us. We were greeted upon entry & quickly chose a nice booth where you could see the kitchen staff. We started with the Spinach Potato and Onion Pakoras, which are fritters that were very nicely fried (not at all greasy) w/2 dipping sauces. One order was plenty to share. We had the coconut chicken curry, a chicken tikka masala & a chicken vindaloo. 3 got side salads which were quite sizable & easily sharable (each main dish gets 2 sides) as well as basmati rice. 1 person got the cucumber yogurt and the potato side. He loved both. We also got a couple of garlic naan. You get to choose your spice levels & we chose 4, 6 & one chose 7. We each liked the level of spice we chose. EVERYTHING was flavorful and sooo good. With the exception of one person, everyone had leftovers to take home. The chef came out to chat for a few minutes - asked if we had room for dessert (no room!), although I hear the spiced rice pudding is excellent (maybe next time). Restaurant is very clean and has a nice ambience (except the ceiling fan blades make the lights a little weird). Definitely will be back to eat again. read more

Hmm, our meal felt like a watered down version of Indian food. The curries (chicken tikka masala and the saag paneer) were quite watery literally. They also give you an option of spice which I think they are afraid to use. I asked for a level 7 and didn't get any kick- tasted mild. Garlic Naan was pretty good. Location is convenient and staff are friendly but it didn't quite hit the spot for the craving I had for Indian food. read more

I had the lamb, some of the pieces were tough, most were ok. The waiter encouraged me to get the '5' in spices, that was not enough, it was very weak and the sauce was very runny. Service was normal, not wonderful but not bad either. The ambiance in the restaurant sucked! Sterile walls, floors like eating in a fast food place. They need Indian decoration - what was the owner thinking, no decoration or ambiance in an Indian restaurant. To the owner who answered my review - I have eaten at your San Marcos restaurant several times and loved the food - Oceanside was not at that level which is why I gave it a hum-oh review. read more

This is further to the reply of my poor review from Obi at this Restaurant. He claims that the Customers should know that this dish (Paneer Kali Mirch) is Cream based. How would the Customer's know because the Menu just says" Farmer's Cheese cooked with Whole spices and finished with peppercorns" (please see the picture of the menu). Do you expect Customer's to call you to clarify about each dish before ordering? They would normally read the description of the dish in the Menu when ordering. Moreover, I had specified " Do not add Cream" and the dish was full of Cream. This is a serous matter relating to Food safety due to Allergy/dietary restrictions. I do not recommend this Restaurant. Moreover, they should be reported to the Department of Health (Food Safety) and Better Business Bureau for not being transparent about their Menu and all the major ingredients. Besides, it is this Restaurant's responsibility to "read and follow" the Special requests/Notes as relating to the Allergies/Dietary needs of their Customers. They need to check the Food Quality/Food Safety before the Food is delivered or picked up. I do not think they do so. Also, in my Last order about a month ago of Saag Paneer (an dinner Entree of Farmer's Cottage Cheese with Spinach) they forgot to add the Farmer's Cottage Cheese (main item) and just sent a puree of Spinach full of Cream (even though the request said " Do not add cream"). Once again, I had to throw the food out. When I called the Restaurant and Spoke to them they said they will replace it in the next order which they did but it seems no one checks the food from the Kitchen before it is sent out for delivery or is picked up by a Customer. I have been a regular Customer at both their Locations in San Marcos and Oceanside for many Years but after these incidents I will not be ordering from them anymore. I will also be speaking to the Local Health authorities, BBB and the Oceanside/Carlsbad Newspapers to inform them of " lack of health and food safety standards at the Oceanside location". They do not care for the needs of their customers and do not understand that " Hospitality means going the extra mile to satisfy your Customers" no matter what it takes! read more

My boyfriend and I checked this place out for dinner and it definitely did not disappoint! We got their Chicken Tikka Masala, Bhuna Gosht, Naan bread & Bikaneri Samosas. Their chicken tikka masala paired up with garlic naan was easily my favorite. Their dishes had so much flavor and they were perfectly balanced. And as if the food wasn't already great, their service made a great cherry on top of everything! Chef Obi was so friendly and helpful in suggesting what we should get for dinner and dessert. Unfortunately, we didn't have space for dessert anymore but we were so pleased with their food and service that night, that we decided to go back the next day and get their rice pudding dessert with pistachios. And it was surely worth the drive back! I guess it's safe to say that we're coming back here for more :) read more

100% recommend this place. I visited this place twice for a trip with my friends, and this place made those days. We had two different servers at that time, but those guys, so funny and also very nice to talk to. But most importantly, the food there is on another level. The service was wonderful. The food delicious and the space was comfortable. We tired eight dishes that were all quite nice. The only thing I did not like was the meals are individual meals so each comes with two sides which we did not really need. We love to try an array of Indian dishes and share together. My favorite dish was the lamb pork chops--cooked to perfection and drizzling the brown sauce on it--so yummy. read more

We went to dinner for my birthday and wow did Curry & More deliver! The service was terrific and super fast - my kids were there so that's always important. The vegetable pakoras were so delicious - my kids kept asking for more 'chicken nuggets'. Oddly they turn their noses up at all types of fake meat store bought nuggets. The chicken tikka masala was perfectly cooked - we asked for no spice for the kids and it delivered. My husband and I enjoyed the lamb korma, which again was perectly cooked - we asked for a 5-6 spice and it was a delightful amount of spice. We often Door Dash Curry & More which is always great, but getting it fresh in the restaurant was such a treat, we'll defintely eat in more often. read more

Everyone in this restaurant is so nice. Service is really quick as well. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and is kids friendly. Every time we go food is always delicious. We usually get the samosas, chicken korma, coconut chicken, and of course the Goat kulcha that is a must. We have had some visitors coming from out of the country and they also loved it. Definitely our go to when it comes to Indian food. Good prices as well read more

It's about time downtown Oceanside got an Indian restaurant! We've been waiting for this place to open for awhile, and it did not disappoint. The location is great! There's street parking readily available, and you're still a close walk to the beach. Service was very attentive and the food came out really quickly. We went for lunch, and each entree came with a salad, lentil soup, rice, and naan, all of which was delicious and reasonably priced (around $14). We'll definitely be coming back for a mango lassi and a stroll to the beach. read more

Tandoori Guys did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was excellent. Chicken Tiki Masala, Butter Chicken Curry, Sag Paneer, Yellow Dall, Chana Masala, Basmati Rice, Garlic Naan and Papadams. The food is very flavorful and the chicken was nice and tender. We ordered everything medium spicy, but it really tasted like it was hot spicy. We all worked up a sweat eating it. I'm not complaining. Usually when I order food at a medium spice, I can barely taste the heat, but there is plenty of heat to be had over here. Definitely delicious. I am so glad that they opened their new location in Oceanside. The food served was delicious and plentiful and we had leftovers that we got back. We used to travel to San Marcos to eat the best Indian food in Southern California. Now that same goodness is available closer home. OBI the chef owner is great to talk to.
