Apologies that he review is a little long, but I want to justify the reason for the 5 stars…read more The reasoning behind the 5 stars are the basics. 1. Customer Service 2. Cost 3. Clear communication 4. Showing up early when you agree upon a time. 5. completing the work when promised and within budget. Dennis and his crew Paul and Todd checked off all of those boxes. They showed up early, answered all of our questions, explained the process and remained available for follow up questions. They also finished up a couple of easy fix items that were on my to do list but weren't in the estimate without charging for it. We had 3 different companies come and quote the work, and Power Up was right in the middle with pricing. Sometimes you get a feeling about contractors on the first meet, and the wife and I are both very happy with our choice. We live in Prairie Village and our house had a 60 amp Electrical Service and no weather head. Code says 100 amps is the minimum requirement now, but we were grandfathered in. Dennis recommended that we upgrade to a 200amp service to future proof the house, and the cost between a 100 amp to 200 amp upgrade was negligible. If you live in Prairie Village, you're no stranger to power outages. I told Dennis we wanted to get rid of the extension cords and he recommended we install a manual transfer switch to connect the generator, which we did at a very reasonable cost. The peace of mind of not having to leave our house open to run extension cords was worth the cost alone. Their crew was at all times courteous, professional and focused on making sure the power interruption was minimal while they worked on upgrading our electrical. We have no reservations recommending PowerUp Electrical for your small or large electrical project.

A few other unusual electric issues all around the kitchen prompted me to call Power Up. I had used them previously but years ago and always had been satisfied. As a lucky coincidence, both repairmen showed up at the same time. They worked together to discover the initial installation of the dishwasher which included moving the outlet had not been done properly. Once that was discovered and rectified, Chris from Power Up corrected the garage disposal switch which had been "twitchy" , replaced a breaker in the box, followed up with a general maintenance check of the same. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and informative. I'd also like to throw a shout out to the office staff who arranged scheduling to get someone out to my house asap. Hopefully, no further electric issues will arise, but if they do I won't hesitate to call Power Up. I've yet to receive a bill but am confident it will becreasonable, and I'll be happy to payfor it's value.
