This is a small, unassuming, friendly, family-run restaurant. They have very little seating and the majority of their business is carry out. We ate there and had ribs, the "Dino" (pulled pork & fries smothered in sauce) and a side of Mac & cheese. Everything was delicious! I arrived roughly around 2pm. Starting with the greeting, the women that took my order was extremely pleasant. I had a nice conversation with her while waiting on my order. The restaurant in itself didn't seem to have AC going at the time although it was a very hot day. Also, there wasn't much seating. However, the restaurant was clean. I ordered the large rib tips, which come with steak fries. I also requested that they mix the standard bbq sauce with the hot bbq sauce. I also got a hot link. Rating Breakdown: Taste: 10 - I just wished there was more. Cut: 6 - As seen in the picture, the ribs are very thin. BBQ Sauce Mixed: 1000, why isn't this in a bottle. Note, you must like spicy. Steak Fries: 8 - Again, portion l, but I'm a bit of a fryacolic. They were also cooked a little over the just crispy mark. We were there yesterday the food was delicious, this is it third time eating there. Only complaint I have is the portion size needs to increase a little. I felt the rib platter I had the six bones my daughter had the tips just was not a nice portion for the money. read more

I have to be honest, I was not impressed by this place. Sadly I believe it falls into the same trap that most BBQ places in the area fall into: decent meat and pathetic sides. Let's start with the pulled pork sandwiches.. the pork was good. Tender and tasted great. The bbq sauce complimented it well. But the bun was literally bottom of the barrel. Like the cheap buns at the grocery store. Because of this, the sandwich was soggy. The Mac and Cheese was basic. Nothing special. Expensive for the portion they give you though, that's for sure. The French fries were literally pathetic. Frozen steak fries with no salt at all on them. It's like they didn't even try. The kids meal was skimpy. A big thing of fries and one little chicken tender for $6. The chicken tender was frozen. The fries were bunk. Overall, I'm sure the other meat options are good but the lack of quality or even effort on the fries and chicken tender is pretty sad. It's not even that they weren't good, they were frozen. Didn't even try. And the Mac and cheese is homemade with very little flavor. Then the cheap buns. It all goes to show a lack of effort and quality. If we try this place again, it will be for the bbq meat and we can do better sides at home with very little effort. If you guys need, maybe I could show you a thing or two. I didn't believe this place was open, but I went in to see and was happy I did! The service was quick and friendly, had a family feel to it. Not much in the way of ambiance, but the food more than made up for that! We ordered a few things off their menu and they were all amazing! The flavors were spot on. I'm not going to lie and say they're the best bbq, but if you want consistently good bbq this is the place. I've never received burnt up day old ribs from here, it's always fresh bbq. Only knock I'd even give them is they run out of certain things regularly, which isn't a bad thing if you want fresh. It was the end of the year, I had heard great things and I was in the area. Of course I had to stop in and see what all the excitement was. After all BBQ is one of the reviews you will see time and time again from me. From the outside you will see a small building, definitely a family owned kind of situation. Although that could have gone bad or good. The service was great, the price was better than most places and the quality has made it to the top of my list for this area. Actually it's my top choice across several states. The sauce had the perfect combo of sweet, crunchy, with tangy. The ribs themselves had the crispy textures you crave with fall off the bone bonus points. Once I actually tasted the ribs themselves it was nothing, but flavor. The fries were fries, nothing new there, but a must have when eating Ribs. I highly recommend checking out this family own delight if you are anywhere near the Niles area. The food here is always good and service, in store is great! Go there now. We ordered the Sampler Platter which included the Ribs, Pulled Pork, Chicken, & Rib Tips. The chicken was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, the ribs slipped right off the bone, and the tips were smokey and delicious. To top it off, the bbq sauce was the perfect combo of sweet and spicy. The Dino Fries are thick cut, fresh, and covered in finely shredded pulled pork. We will definitely be back. Can't wait to bring everyone we know. This is a family owned restaurant and their well-spoken daughter (who took our order, explained the menu perfectly, and gave us great suggestions) might be the cutest thing on the planet. Wasn't worth the trip to Michigan. The pulled pork and the Catfish were the best things I had. I ordered the meat platter but they had an hour wait for ribs. So they substituted fish and some extra tips. The sauce was a southern BBQ sauce with a small hint of heat. Tips were a little tight and not very meaty. The piece of chicken was leg quarter that was so dry out I couldn't even bring to eat it. The baked beans needed something so I put some pulled pork in them and that fixed the beans. Not sure how this is but they had no restroom to wash up in after eating. AST visit here. read more

I visited for the first time last week & again yesterday. The BBQ 1/4 Chicken was the real deal & the catfish filet sandwich was everything you'd want it to be. Coleslaw done right.. Why I really came to comment was the CHICKEN TENDERS... With some BBQ sauce... oowwweeeeee.... This guy means business .. those arent the cheap kind! One word: family. When you enter the building, they instantly greet you and ask how you have been. I work long hours, but feel like I am home when I visit them for lunch. I also catered an event for my parent's wedding anniversary and I was blown away by their service and taste of the food. Every one of the guests asked where I got the meal from because it was so delicious. The pulled pork and chicken were smoked to perfection, mac and cheese was bomb, baked beans fire, corn bread just...Lord have mercy. They arrived early and set up quickly. 30 people ate an order made for 50 because of how great it was. I highly recommend them every chance I get. My favorite meal is to order pulled pork plain, pile the mac and cheese on top, and sauce on the side to dip. If you want a local small business to support, look no further. First off, I love BBQ places. This one stands out in the area as being a bit unusual, pretty much due to the sauce. It's an amazing blend of a vinegar based, sweet, tomato type sauce with a slight tingle of heat. Our favorite thing to get here are the Dino Fries. Pulled/chopped pork, with no fat I've ever come across, loaded on steak fries with their BBQ sauce. Amazing! We've also had a few of the sides, the rib tips, and the wings. Out of those, the only thing I wasn't blown away by was the wings. One of my sons loves this place as much as I do. Every time we come to Niles for a movie, we want to eat here. My other son...not so much of a fan. I'm not really sure specifically why, but he would rather eat someplace else every time he comes with us. So, if it's just my older son and myself coming for Dino Fries, 5 stars hands down. But overall, with everything we've tried and averaging out the family opinion, I'd have to go with 4 stars. But believe me, it's a strong 4 stars. If you like BBQ and the Dino fries and BBQ sauce sound like something you'd be interested in, do yourself a favor and try them out! And one more thing, make sure you go to the bathroom before you go. They don't have a public restroom. read more
