New bed! Check out that gorgeous wood.
Amy S.

Just bought a gorgeous bed and wall unit from Bradley at Curated! I really appreciated his help showing us different pieces, he asked all the right questions to give us good recommendations. I also loved that he either knew *exactly* what he had, or was open about telling us: I love this piece, I'm still researching it's history/designer. Easy to work with, reasonable prices, and has great taste! Might still cave and get one other thing I have my eye on... Call ahead for an appointment! COVID is still a thing, and he was great about safety.

The chair in my living room. Gorgeous!

I had been eyeing this chair in the front window of Curated. When I went in to check it out, Bradley was so nice and knowledgeable. He gave me the full background (Mr Chair by George Mulhauser for Plycraft) and also printed out the specs so I could go home and take measurements to make sure it fit in my space. Bradley was also kind enough to carry the chair and ottoman out and helped figure out how to put everything in my small car. Great customer service. So glad to support local and a small business owner. Check out Bradley's store. I highly recommend!

We've gotten some amazing furniture and original art from Brad to fill in our apartment a few times now. He has a super unique mid century modern collection. So far we've purchased a George Nelson chair, vintage Amisco cabinets, and today an original print by Tom Wesselmann, which we didn't even know about this artist until coming to his shop. He's always giving us a great deal. Highly recommend coming here if you like one of a kind items.

I'm a new entrepreneur starting out my small PMU business and I need some key pieces of furniture to a small space look special for my clients. I had a clear vision of what I wanted and I didn't want some basic chair and table that I can get from like a target. I went to a few vintage shops but had trouble finding the right pieces, that is until my friend and I walked into Curated and found their downstairs section! We found the perfect bright teal/blue chair. It's unique and the color pops. It's chic and just perfect. Now it was time to find the side table to with the chair. We inquired with the owner of the shop about a specific side table and he called the artist/designer of the table on spot to see if he could custom make me the side table in my choice of color and pattern (mind blown)! Luckily we found the perfect side table in the back of the store!!! The perfect mustard yellow to go with the bright teal chair and very fairly priced. Big thanks to the staff at Curated! My new work space is going to be extra special thanks to these key pieces! Kathleen @katscosmetictats

I absolutely love this store, such gorgeous designer furniture. Bradley and Elizabeth are super helpful and friendly. They offer beautiful pieces for very fair prices and are open to negotiation. We found a great dining set here. I will definitely be coming back

I was walking by and happened into Curated. I'm glad that I did. I could tell right away that it was full of the sorts of things I might otherwise spend a lifetime worth of weekends at estate sales trying to find. Bradley is definitely passionate and knowledgeable about design, furniture, and beautiful objects. I ended up with a lounge chair to fit my living room that I'd been searching for for years! And I got a great deal on a chair that might just outlast me. Thank you! Looking for some furniture and love beautiful design and potentially finding a bargain? This place is totally worth a visit and your business.

I picked up an outdoor table and chair set at a great price. This was solid furniture, nothing cheap/flimsy. Lots of neat stuff.

Very disappointing experience with SOBU. With the expected delivery window coming to an end, I desperately searched for answers so I contacted the warehouse myself out of frustration, only to learn they had no record of my order. It turned out SOBU had missed it during processing and never placed it, and this was only discovered because I dug into it myself. Although they apologized, expedited the shipping and offered a partial refund, the follow-through was still poor. Promises were made that weren't kept, which I was expecting but still irritated by. Seriously though, you guys are a small business; isn't customer service supposed to be your thing? I understand that mistakes happen, but there should have been some alarm bells ringing when I mentioned there had been ZERO communication about my order since I initially placed the order and it was supposed to be delivered within the next 4 days. The freight company (Metropolitan warehouse and delivery) was also a separate issue. They falsely claimed they were attempting delivery when they hadn't even arrived at my home. So just be careful because they do charge a rescheduling fee in that situation. That's not Sobu's fault but just an fyi. The table itself is nice, but the lack of communication and follow-through made the entire experience unnecessarily stressful. I shouldn't have had to do all of this just to get an answer. From initial ordering to delivery took ~7.5 weeks. I'm not sure how much longer it would've taken if I just sat idly by waiting for because "I was still in my delivery window" as they suggested.

They have a selection of both actual used vintage pieces alongside new reproduction items. The reproductions they stock and have on display on the floor are surprisingly high quality if you're used to the type of stuff you'd find on Wayfair/Amazon/Overstock. The extra benefit is you get to actually check out the display models to evaluate the quality yourself before pulling the trigger. As for delivery, they suggest Lugg and setting that up is hassle free and straightforward as they frequently work with Lugg. A part of my purchase had to be ordered in (which only took a couple days), so when everything was available, I got a call from Poor Honey's letting me know everything was ready to go. All I had to do was take a photo of my invoice when booking the Lugg and I didn't have to go back in to coordinate the pickup - they took care of all that. I'll 100% be back as there were a couple other pieces that caught my eye when I was shopping for the dinette set that I ended up purchasing. Very satisfied with the whole experience and the set I purchased is beautiful.

This store is like a museum -- only better, because everything is for sale!…read more The Mr. and I searched high and low for a dining table and chairs for our Craftsman home. It was a tiresome, fruitless journey from one dusty antique store to another, on both sides of the Bay. I will admit that I was surreptitiously eyeing Restoration Hardware catalogs toward the end there, thinking, "Well, maybe this fake French apple cart table is as good as it gets." Dark days, my friends. Walking into California Historical Design, you're surrounded by a stunning collection of Arts and Crafts furniture and decor. No glossy reproductions or faux crackle. The real deal. This is not a bargain hunter's paradise, but we are beyond pleased with the dining room table and chairs we bought. I think they're a good investment -- in my happiness, certainly, and probably financially as well. And they're just lovely. And now people can eat dinner at my house without having to balance a plate on their lap. Gus, the owner, is passionate about his merchandise and the people who built it. He shares information happily, making trips to his store really fun. He's also meticulous about the pieces, delivers for free(!), and keeps a consistently-updated website with photos of all his merchandise. He's a true professional, and that's reflected in the beauty of his merchandise and the rapport he has with his customers. If you're looking for jaw-dropping furniture or an amazing art piece for your home, you have to come here. PS, We had trouble finding this place, because the Yelp reviews were not SEO optimized. OH, how I wish I'd discovered it sooner! So let me just say this: Craftsman furniture, vintage furniture, antique furniture, Craftsman dining table, Craftsman chairs, Stickley, Roseville pottery, Craftsman tile, Dirk van Erp, Arts and Crafts. Amen.

I don't blow my money, so I come sometimes and don't even buy anything. There is just so many different types of things and food and drinks and jewelry that you may find something you didn't even know you needed. The snacks and food options are amazing. Kooky international cookies and sweet and random flavors of foods and drinks, it's just a wonderland of cool random things. The prices can be ridiculous so you have to choose wisely. Sometimes the staff can be a little absent, meaning they don't really seem like they want to interact with us. I get it, retail sucks. And not every one of them is distant, there are some real gems in there too. I just love this place and I hope it doesn't succumb to rent hikes or loss of sales and it disappears.

The whole place was clean and organized, and the shelves were stocked full of awesome and unique products on a Saturday morning. And after browsing all of the easter-themed goodies, I couldn't resist getting a bag of kitkat bunnies as well. A worker saw my arms full and offered to get me a basket (he ran all the way to the front of the store and back). The care and effort shown was definitely appreciated. Customer service altogether was outstanding. I was greeted with a smile at entry, checked on multiple times by different employees while shopping, and my transaction at the purchase counter was quick and easy, with two employees opening up additional registers as they saw a line forming. I usually have a positive experience at World Market regardless of location, but based on my recent visit the Oakland store is superior in every way!
