A sad consequence of the influx of people moving to the Oconomowoc area who like so many storied towns before it in similar situations, fail to promote and support what makes these rural towns so real and charming. Love Pribnow's as that touch stone of community and local DNA. Don't miss what the area is becoming - ordinary, common and over done. Our family of 6 and some of our kids' friends (all older) came for the fish fry and were not disapotinted. Great old school fish fry of flaky sweet Perch and White Fish accomapued by Warm Bacon Potato Salad, Potato Pancakes and tartar. Server was awesome. It was all exactly as it should be. Pribnow's - thank you for sinking deep roots!

Folding tables and plastic table cloths. I had the all you can eat deep fried white fish and perch. Took a long time to get served even though we got there early, before the rush. Fish was ok but the batter was a bit too heavy and retained a bit too much oil. Seemed to need to be fried longer or hotter to brown it. Potato pancakes appeared to be from mashed potatoes instead of shredded and were soggy; not browned or crisped at all. Cole slaw was good. Hard to find an all you can eat fish fry now days and prices were good, but not worth it for the negatives.

This is an excellent way to spend an evening, no matter what ages you have in your family. Flour Girl and Flame is once again the option for food, and the reservations are necessary so you can get your food in good time. But, if you are not texted to come get your order in an expected timeframe, ask because the texting is not always working. The barn bar is convenient with an accessible entry on the north side; the steps are on the south side. Drinks are very reasonably priced (Old Fashioned for $7!). The choices are limited but a nice variety. This is a great event to bring your kids, of all ages. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome. There is room for them to run, play games, and just have fun with few limitations on space. Bring chairs, tables and your friends and families. The acoustic guitar music just melts into the evening and is not overpowering to conversations. One very young lady spent her time just watching the guitarist, loving every note he played. Reservations go fast; this is for the time you will order your food, not an attendance cost. Parking is free. Don't forget to tip the musicians! They truly make the evening the joyful and peaceful time it is.

They have a large barn setting for bar and appetizer service, then roll into dinner. Our meal was pasta, chicken, meatballs, greens for salad, mini bread slices, desserts (we had Italian cookies). Note: The Barn does not have air conditioning. It was 96 degrees today, they opened the barn doors to let the breeze naturally cool the guests. I saw 100+ people and the barn handled it well. They have parking for 50-60 cars. Bathrooms are in the barn's lower level, they can handle 3-4 people at a time. I recommend and will return.
