Staff was super friendly. I ended up getting him a "ruby fuchsite". I'm not familiar with that particular rock, but the cashier told me to make sure I have my dad use a blue light on it. I picked up these little heart shaped crystals with message cards in the back by the cashier. When I asked the cashier with curly hair if she could tell me more about the items and the energies, she rudely scuffed in my face and chuckled at me. Once I felt that rude ENERGY from her I immediately knew I was not going to support this business. My friend had just finished purchasing her item and also noticed that she had an attitude. She was not greeted at all with her transaction and honestly she regretted purchasing here after our entire experience. Instead of explaining the items which would have been alot simpler. She directed me to a table at the front that I already browsed at. The table was cluttered and it was hard to sift through the information and pinpoint which ones correlated to the heart items - which is why I asked her for help. We simply thought that since she obviously works here, she would be able to politely explain the products to me but I guess her only goal was to turn away customers who just wanted to have a fun day at the island.

Such a fun experience to try in Seattle!…read more The staff were outstanding, with Mikey in particular going above and beyond! He made the whole process a blast, walking us through each step with energy and enthusiasm that kept things fun and easy to follow. Even while assisting multiple guests at once, he made sure we always felt supported and never left waiting. Once you're familiar with the process, you'll select a vessel and explore 30+ scent options displayed along a scent wall. The team helps you discover which fragrances blend well together to create your ideal combination. This is where Mikey's expertise really shined! He suggested scents I hadn't considered, and they worked beautifully with my favorite scents. After creating your perfect scent ratio, the oils are blended into wax, and left to set for 2-3 hours. Prices were comparable to other handmade candles you find at farmers markets, plus ELM uses a coconut apricot wax. Be sure to book a reservation, they fill up quick!

I know Elm Candle through work and remembered some of my work colleagues coming here to do a team bonding event. My girl friend was turning 30 and said she would be doing a birthday activity here! Our scent specialist, Mikey was super helpful! They had everything prepared for our ladies to partake in the session and the instructions were on the card which was super cute since it also had a 'Thank You' at the back in support of their small business. You put your name and select which item you want to make. I chose a room spray since I have SO MANY candles at home! Mikey had us choose which container (room spray only had one kind) but candles had a variety. I wanted to make the reed diffuser initially but they were sold out! Next, they had a variety of scents on the wall so you could write those on your card and star your faves! Coffee beans were provided to help with your nose since you smell so many scents! Mikey was so patient with all of us and walked us through the process! I was super pleased with my scents. He evaluated each of our cards, asked us what kinds of scents we are into, and then gathered 3-4 essential oils to smell -- you can mix and match. You can omit one or add another depending on your preferences. We left with cute little bags! It was such a wonderful experience! It's a little pricey but definitely worth it.

I love everything about this company and made the swap from bath and body works to this company. While the price is a bit higher, I love that you are able to buy refill kits making it eco friendly. Now let's talk about the candles! Not only are they unique, but they smell oh so amazing! I love gifting these for friends to celebrate special occasions or just because they need a little pick me up. My favorite scents are the fall and winter scents. They leave your house smelling clean with that cozy and comfort feeling of relaxation. I always have a sage and sea salt candle and refill because ain't nobody got time for negative energy or bad vibes in their house. Highly recommend shiplap orchard, pumpkin spice latte, sugared cranberry, sugared pine, and Yule scents. For those who are sensitive to smells these are not overwhelming where you get a headache, but strong enough to enjoy them. These candles actually last a long time before having to refill them or swap them out. I also recommend their wax melts as they also last a good amount of burn time. Overall, I would say you get your monies worth. The quality is amazing, scents are great, and the presentation is perfection. You can purchase these products from in store, website, or even amazon! I can't say enough fabulous things about this company and highly recommend checking them out and supporting this veteran business!
