After getting home, I realized the scents of the candles did not match the labels on the lids. I reached out to ask about a return or exchange from other warehouse sale inventory, but was informed that neither option was available. The company did provide wax melts in the scent I had intended to purchase, which I appreciated. However, I would have preferred the option to exchange the candles themselves. I love everything about this company and made the swap from bath and body works to this company. While the price is a bit higher, I love that you are able to buy refill kits making it eco friendly. Now let's talk about the candles! Not only are they unique, but they smell oh so amazing! I love gifting these for friends to celebrate special occasions or just because they need a little pick me up. My favorite scents are the fall and winter scents. They leave your house smelling clean with that cozy and comfort feeling of relaxation. I always have a sage and sea salt candle and refill because ain't nobody got time for negative energy or bad vibes in their house. Highly recommend shiplap orchard, pumpkin spice latte, sugared cranberry, sugared pine, and Yule scents. For those who are sensitive to smells these are not overwhelming where you get a headache, but strong enough to enjoy them. These candles actually last a long time before having to refill them or swap them out. I also recommend their wax melts as they also last a good amount of burn time. Overall, I would say you get your monies worth. The quality is amazing, scents are great, and the presentation is perfection. You can purchase these products from in store, website, or even amazon! I normally don't take the time to write reviews, but my experience with Malicious Women Candles was so unbelievably disappointing that I feel obligated to warn other people before they waste their money the way I did. First of all, the candles themselves are awful. They smell cheap, synthetic, and overpowering in the worst way possible. The scents are not warm, relaxing, or enjoyable like you'd expect from a quality candle -- they're harsh and almost nauseating. Some smelled like straight-up chemicals, and others had such a bizarre mix of fragrances that I couldn't leave them lit for more than a few minutes without getting a headache. It felt less like an artisan candle and more like something you'd pick up in a clearance bin at a dollar store. On top of the terrible scents, the burn quality is atrocious. The wicks are inconsistent -- some barely stay lit, while others spark and burn unevenly. The wax pools horribly, leaving big chunks unused around the jar. A candle is supposed to burn clean and smooth, but these sputter, smoke, and waste more wax than they use. For how overpriced they are, the quality doesn't come anywhere close to matching the cost. Then there's the branding and attitude of the company. Their whole "sassy" or "edgy" marketing schtick comes off less like humor and more like mean-spirited bitterness. Instead of being clever or empowering, the labels read as juvenile, tacky, and borderline offensive. It feels like they're trying way too hard to be "different" and "edgy," but the end result is immature and unprofessional. If you want a candle that brings good vibes into your home, this is the exact opposite -- it feels negative, cheap, and gimmicky. To make matters worse, the customer service is equally terrible. Reaching out with issues gets you snarky, dismissive replies, as if they couldn't care less about retaining customers. A company that treats its buyers this poorly doesn't deserve any support, especially when there are so many better candle makers out there who actually stand behind their products. At the end of the day, Malicious Women Candles is nothing more than a company built on loud branding to distract from the fact that their products are low-quality and unpleasant. The scents are horrible, the candles burn terribly, and the entire vibe is negative and unwelcoming. I regret every dollar I spent here, and I will never be purchasing from them again. Save yourself the disappointment -- there are hundreds of candle companies out there that actually make amazing products and treat their customers with respect. Purchased Fruit Loops scented candle. Threw it away after burning for two hours. Zero scent cast - the only way to smell the scent was to lean directly over the candle while it was burning. I've bought so many additional hoodies for friends and my own daughters. The candles are wonderful - the scents aren't overpowering and they burn so cleanly. I order them for various things that my tribe might be experiencing from "Badassery" candles to celebrate promotions to various f-bomb labels to let them know they are seen and heard in whatever crappy situation they might be navigating. I purchased the Espresso Yo' Self Candle and immediately fell in love with the scent. Quality ingredients are used in this candle. The whole house smells amazing! Checked out their website and decided to order a few more candles. These make awesome gifts. Once your candle is finished, you can wash the jar and reuse it. It was easy to clean out. I SO love this company and their products. It's like they crawled inside my brain, pulled out the sarcasm and humor and decided to put them on great smelling candles. I have....10? Of these? I mostly order online but am lucky enough to live only 10 minutes away so I do go to the store a couple of times a year. i'm 100% supportive of this take-no-shit woman owned business! i've ordered from them online before but i got a wild hair today to do a little road trip and see what an in-person visit to the shop is like. turns out, there's more than what you'll find online and the general instructions of how to pick your scent(s) and then fill out the slip of paper to hand to the employee are pretty straight forward. assuming you're of the same political mindset (and you'll know by reading the posted signs in the front window or looking at the text on some of the black tank tops and t shirts in the back of the store,) you're GONNA LOVE envisioning who in your circle of friends and family is going to appreciate gifts from here. in my case, every-damn-one! there are quite literally dozens of label options which i'm sure make lots of visitors cackle out loud (...and if you find yourself offended, i would suggest you just show yourself out!) the employee working today was gracious enough to let me bring my dog inside while i was making my selections; i asked before entering because i am very sensitive to people just assuming their animals have a right to be everywhere with them. i will most probably continue to order online only because i'm not in the general vicinity of the store but it was a fun one time excursion to visit snohomish town and get to make purchases from these badass women in person! in today's political climate and supreme court decision-making craziness, i say we speak our mind out loud and with candles! enough of the bullshit! read more

The candles burn uneven and the scent is light at the top of the candle and then super strong at the bottom. They don't take pride in customer service and are extremely rude and they encourage bullying on their social media. An actual quote from the owner. "I do what I want and I don't care if you're offended" they don't care about losing a single customer but they'll realize when that single customer adds up each time it happens. I found this company through an internet meme talking about how a candle was describing someone's exact mood with sarcasm. I was excited to place an order with them when they had a sale on the web for moving to their new location. My order arrived carefully packaged and fairly quickly - with the packing slip, it had a handwritten hilarious note customized to my name and contents of my order. The friends I gave the candles to really enjoyed receiving them noting that some of the scents were pretty unique and different. For example one of the candles I had ordered was a Fresh Baked Pretzel and it smelled exactly like that! I also ordered a Malicious Women journal as a gift which I now feel is what every person in the world needs at their bedside table to reflect on their day. My wife purchased one of their candles from a store in Sedro Woolley last year and wanted to replace the scent. After going back and forth with them on email, my wife and I decided to drive up to Snohomish from Auburn to have a look and spend the day in Snohomish. Well, the latest email blast had the Ave D address, luckily someone told us to look on 1st street. We got to the store, and asked about the scent. We had to wait while she went to the laptop in back to shut down Facebook? Anway by the the time I left, I would say Malicious Women was what we got for a clerk (Thanks Hallie). By the way we are retired and like to go to the small towns as a day trips. Anyway we were told that it was an old candle, when we asked about the scent at that point she just got nasty. My point was we were interested in the scent not the label on the candle, as the scents came with many labels. At that point we were asked to leave, we had not done anything wrong, so as I left I said, I assume your pronoun was bitcc based on they way asked us to leave. This was obviously not the owner, but some spoiled Millennial that wanted to go back to her Social computer life. They of course have their candles for sale but they also have local crafters items available too. The staff is super friendly and able to help you find the perfect label for yourself or for a gift. They make really great gift sets as well, but shopping in store allows you to put together your own gift box! If you like candles and all things sassy head down to the shop and have a great time!
