Ryan was great, tried to keep my carpets/bathroom clean as much as possible and was patient in discussing my options and answering my questions. Surprisingly was able to get an appointment for install on Monday. Jared was also great. Definitely appreciate the small details and concerns to keep the carpet clean like hand carrying both the old and new water heater up 2 flights of stairs. Between the quick response/scheduling time, clean workmanship, and fine attention to detail, happy to say the leaking water heater experience felt less chaotic with 128's help! Total turnaround time, Friday 11pm to Monday 4pm hot water up and running!!

Received 3 estimates, all came back roughly in the…read moresame price range. 128 quoted the OEM Mitsubishi unit that I was looking for, (the others did not) along with handling all the permits & electrical needs. Their price also included a 3 year service plan. The install was scheduled 3 days after I accepted the quote, others were scheduling 2-3 weeks out. On the day of the installation, the 128 crew arrived right on time, calling ahead to let me know they were on the way. They showed up with a four man crew, 2 installers for the mini-split and 2 electricians. The work was pristine, the wiring was neat, the unit was placed on a pad and looks great! The crew (Paul, Nedim, Nick & Connor) was extremely professional and curtious. The work was completed by 3pm same day. I am 100% pleased with the work and will be using them going forward for all my HVAC needs.

My old steam boiler developed a…read morecracked heat exchanger, and Max Heating was prompt, informative, and willing to do the replacement during the New Year holiday. Dan and Sam have been stand-out with the depth of their answers to my questions. I appreciate that immensely as a demonstration of how much they care about the subject matter, and how much they care about ensuring I'm properly informed on what is happening. Sam and his crew were out all day yesterday dismantling the old boiler and installing the new one. They were friendly and engaged the whole time letting me observe the process. Sam called me over throughout to show me up close what had corroded in my old boiler, and to explain to me how it happened. He did the same during install of the new boiler to demonstrate all the critical aspects for maintenance--including letting me unscrew and rescrew a piece to practice for future cleaning. The new boiler is running smoothly right now. I feel like I understand its pieces. Sam even took an interest in diagnosing why my bathroom heating panel (which has never worked) wasn't heating. He cleaned out its vent and it has heat now. My cat is very happy to be warm right now. From the way Sam and his crew talked through all the aspects of the work they were doing, it was clear they take pride in the quality of the work. This wasn't just a job to get over and done with. And what's more, they did it for $2k cheaper than my competing quote. Max Heating and Cooling will be the first people I call for any plumbing projects I have going forward.

I was brushed off, delayed, and ignored by all EXCEPT FOR MAX! They sent out two of the techs and within a few hours had my AC running again. Their price was reasonable, the techs were super competent and nice. I highly recommend them!

    6/27/26 - 3rd project completed, this one was a plumbing project. Had hammering issues from a…read moresprinkler system, expansion tank install near boiler, a whole house water filter and a few other repairs while they were here. Overall, can't thank Nick enough for his help in addressing all the questions prior to and during the actual work. They had brought in several of their top members to address this in a day, which I truly appreciated. I think this is it for larger projects, for the time being. Thank you to the overall team for their help. Still highly recommend Cranney. 6/11/26 - 2nd major project with Cranney. Completed on 6/8/26. This was an HVAC + Electrical. If you'd like to skip the blurb, overall I'm quite happy and would highly recommend Cranney. Now to the details, I wanted to accomplish a few things on the property, HVAC being one of them, and this ultimately also led to an Electrical upgrade. I had Dave, the project manager from HVAC, and Alex, the project manager for Electrical, come on site for separate meetings to discuss my needs and provide their suggestions. I decided, after reviewing a few offers, to go with Cranney even though it was a little more expensive as it's a single company to work with vs trying to coordinate with different companies. I also didn't want to run into issues in the future that would involve finger pointing and with me being the intermediary. In terms of the actual work done, this is where the team shined. Orlando, the lead electrician, crushed it and did an amazing job. He's meticulous, detail oriented, and didn't leave a mess behind. He did the type of work I'd do, with attention to detail and asked for my opinion throughout (placement, educating me, etc). Hard to find that level of quality... Drew, the lead HVAC technician, also crushed it and provided feedback throughout. He also buttoned up any concerns I had during the project. Eric, Orlando's manager, was also a rockstar, the man hustled to ensure Orlando and team's success. I did opt for completing everything in parallel, glad I did as it was a large project and would have ran for 2 weeks if not done in this manner. I'll wrap up by saying this, they addressed any concerns, without much fuss, and did a great job. What more can be expected? I'll be sure to reach out for future large projects or for any repairs / maintenance on what they've already installed. 10/15/21- This business is phenomenal, thanks to the help I've received and the great install they've delivered. I had reached out to Patrick through a family friend (had a similar install performed), as we were seeking options to replace a 30 year old boiler. Prior to then, I reached out to numerous businesses and most business never responded back. Patrick came out the following day, assessed the situation and provided the quote onsite. The team, led by Frank, came out the following week to perform the install. As for the install itself, special kudos to Frank and his team, they came out and completed the job in two days. I can tell they're passionate about what they do and the quality of the work certainly shows throughout.     **SCAM ALERT PLEASE READ*** It has come to my attention that the technicians of Cranney's LIKELY…read moreGET A COMMISSION off their sales. Please keep this in mind and consider a second opinion if they give you a large quote. This is my story: My elderly mother contacted me in a panic after she had a technician named Ryder come to her house to check/clean her heating system. Somewhere in the process, he told her that her entire heating system needed to be replaced and would roughly cost her $15,000...AND he gave her a DEADLINE of 3pm that day to get back to him or that price would change. Please note that her heating system works and is not broken. I decided to contact Cranney's on my own and ask one simple question: "Do your technicians get a commission on their sales?" I was placed on hold so the operator could consult the manager. When she returned, I was told the manager was at lunch and would call me back. I then asked for an assistant manager or someone else that might have the answer. She then asked "What is this in regards to?" (I am not sure why she asked that again, as I only asked that one question). Sensing the defensiveness in her voice, I decided to tell her that I wanted my technician to receive a commission because "he did a wonderful job". She sounded relieved and more willing to seek out an answer. She put me on hold again. When she returned she told me that she could "not disclose that information"...this was enough for me. If a technician charges 15K for a job and gets 5% commission, that's a $750 addition to his paycheck. Please keep in mind I never got an official answer, however if the answer was "no" then it would've been simple. Offering commission on services like this without guardrails, is a corrupt incentive for technicians with no integrity and an easy way to con old women into spending money they don't have on something they don't need. Not to mention the coercion technique used causing unnecessary panic by telling her that a decision needs to be made TODAY...or else. Also, you should know that the manager never called me back. I have no interest in telling them how to operate, I can only offer my experience with the hope that the consumer is better informed. Please consider a second opinion when using their services.
