Lynn has been my tailor for 26 years. She is direct and honest and will tell you if the alterations you want make sense, for the effort. She has altered suits (Men & Women), wedding & formal gowns and 1/2 of my clothing (as a short person) and may of my kids clothing from youth through adulthood. Ive been coming here for over 10 years. She used to be very reasonable. Recently she's changed her prices (I guess due to COVID) and when asked why her prices had gone up so much she was extremely rude to my mother who clearly is battling cancer. Telling her to "go somewhere else if she has a problem" instead of simply explaining why we were being charged double than we were years prior. We will not be returning to this business solely because of how she spoke to my sick mother. read more

Very disappointing to hear that my friend had to pay Twice because these people were dishonest!! If you decided to use this cleaner ... A. would reconsider ... not a big supporter of dishonesty. B. write a check or get a receipt or you end up paying double! Shame on this place!! read more

I have been going to Cumming Alterations for over 11 years; today was my last visit. On Friday, August 4th, I took in a dress for alterations. I was charged $50.00. I paid cash - two $20s and a $10. I made the statement that I never had cash and was glad I didn't need to write a check. Today, I walked in to collect my dress and was forced to pay $50.00 again. The daughter was there and when I calmly explained that I had already paid in full, she called mom, who proceeded to accuse me of being dishonest and not paying and trying to get my dress serviced for free. I reminded her that her policy has ALWAYS been to pay first. She told me I was wrong! I've ALWAYS paid first! Always! Because I paid cash, I did not have any record of a transaction. If only I had written that check! A friend of mine was there, and she saw the whole thing go down. She vouched for my credibility and ethics and warned the daughter and mom team that there must have been a mistake. We were told to tell anyone we wanted ... I had to pay $50.00 if I wanted my dress. Rather than grabbing my dress off of the rack and walking out the door, I paid another $50.00 - check this time. I cannot believe that I paid $100.00 for two seams in a sundress. I cannot believe that I was accused of being a liar, a cheater, and a dishonest customer. This business has lost a customer and this business has lost a customer who will tell anyone who listens about what happened today. What a shame. read more

Her prom and homecoming dresses, and now her wedding dress. I would also reccommend her for men's clothing also. Always comes out right the first time. She has even remade things for me. I will never EVER use after hearing that my friend had to pay twice for her alterations after she had paid cash the first time and at pick up had to pay an additional $50 because they had no record of it . Wow! I love Lynn! I have been going to Lynn since my daughters were in grade school and needed their school skirts altered! She is now altering their prom dresses (which on one daughter takes major altering) and sewing letters onto their letter jackets! Lynn only takes cash or checks and can usually get it done in a week but for major alterations, she will need more time. Thank you Lynn for being someone I can always count on! read more

My first experience was today, she used to be at Lake land Plaza and is now in the shopping center of Stars and Strips. Very disappointed! First time using this place. I had pants altered, seen a sign that said not debit or credit cards! She told me she just got the app. to swipe on her phone. She swiped my card and it spines for 10 minutes. She tells me not approved when it said could not process. The mean time a customer comes in and writes a check. I told her there is plenty of money in the account and I can write a check. She informs me because card could not finish the process. I could not write a check and tells me to go get cash. My Bank is with Navy federal in Alpharetta but had also a BOA ACCOUNT. She would not accept a check goes into if card does not work, no check cause it will bounce. I was at her shop for 30 minutes and a customer comes in and said you are not doing the debt transaction right! Told her to restart phone and told her how to process the transaction for my item. Well it went through and charged twice! Not only did she not make me feel like I was someone that had no money in my account, which I did! No apology after it went through with this customers help! I will not be back to this shop! read more
