I got a fast response via message from them so I decided to give them a try. They told me to bring the right shoes so they could measure accurately. I wouldn't have thought of that! The location is easy to find right off 141 and parking is a breeze in front. They have good hours, open til 630 and even open on weekend. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and her mom- by name since I'd made a arranged time they were expecting us! There was a really nice arrangement of masks while we waited to browse. Some of these were made with beautiful fabrics for formal events and in all the colors you could dream of. My daughter put on the gown for measuring and she was made to feel comfortable (this was her very first experience at a tailor service.) she was complimented on her look as well. The dress was ready in a quick timeframe and absolutely on time for our event. My daughter was pleased with the result- and attention to detail. The hem looks extremely professional. I recommend this business and will be back soon with more alterations.

It has taken me 5 months to decide whether to post a review of my experience at Young's Tailor…read more July of this year I took my wedding dress to the seamstress at Young's Tailor, to have the dress hemmed one and a half inches - nothing more. I picked up my dress on the day of my wedding (yes it was at my home, a small gathering of family and friends) , never dreaming something could be wrong with my dress. Unfortunately, when my daughters tried to zip me into my dress, over 6 inches of fabric had been removed from the shoulders, making the dress unable to even be zipped. I was standing in my bathroom with a gaping dress that could not be salvaged. Luckily, there was a large bow that was pinned in place with straight pens to try and cover up the gap. Of course, the important thing was I got married to a wonderful man in front of people who love me. However, the pain I feel when looking at the pictures is significant. I returned to Young's Taylor with my dress week attempting to figure out what had happened. The seamstress who did my alteration was present and was clueless as to what had happened. She did not apologize. I left her my business card and asked her to consider what needed to be done to compensate me for this error. I was not angry or rude. Unfortunately, she did not contact me. I went back to Young's Tailor and spoke with her again- with a receipt for the original cost of my dress and a receipt for the cost of the tailoring. I told her I felt she should reimburse me for the cost of the dress and for the cost of the tailoring. she stated she would have to consult her lawyer. I have never heard back from her. My disappointment in the lack of professionalism and ownership over this mistake is worse than the mistake itself. I will leave it up to you to decide whether to trust your most important moments to Young's Tailor.

There was a tiny bit of a language barrier (don't be discouraged if you try to call for pricing, if you go in person she understands much better). Ms. Young was very sweet and when I showed her my dress she understood exactly what I wanted done. She even had recommendations that I went with and was very pleased with the outcome. The price was very reasonable, I believe it ended up being around $180 for the bodice and long skirt that both had to be altered. I was also impressed with how quickly she got it done. I was incredibly nervous about finding a seamstress that would be able to make the needed alterations in 4 months, while keeping the integrity of the dress, and making sure it fit perfectly. I found Hanans through various reviews on Google, Yelp, and my favorite place to get the real reviews, Reddit. People love this woman. And I 1000% know why and couldn't agree more. I'd go to battle for this woman. I think I had around 11 appointments with her total? Which is absurd. She was able to work around my travel-heavy job, addressed every little concern or question I had, and gave me the most perfect dress that I could have ever hoped for. I could not be happier with the end result, we ended up going down quite a few sizes or so from the original and it still looks like the dress I bought, just one that's been custom fitted to me. On June 1st, the alterations that she was trying to do through the boutique where she got her dress were stopped as they could not get it right. They had been working on the dress for 5 months, and had had 5 appointments, and were wholly unable to get even the hemline right. With right at a week before the bride had to leave for the event, we were on the hunt for a new seamtress! One place was unable to help as they just didn't have the time due to the extensive work needed. A friend recommended this place and we raced over. They looked at the previous work and told us the dress had been ruined by the previous attempts, but they could fix it. Hannah & Jamie were lifesavers! They were able to get the dress back to 0 overnight, and then began the real alterations. The first fitting came back near perfect. With a tweak or 2, it was ready to go with the weekend to spare! They truly saved the day, and the bride's sanity! I am also a wedding planner, and have already begun recommending them to my clients. It is so hard to find a GOOD seamstress, I only ever notice the bad ones. But Hannah & Jamie were a Godsend and I am so thankful for them!
