Dropped off two bridesmaids dresses at A to Z to be taken in and picked them up three weeks later 3 sizes too small. I don't live in the area, so I drove the next morning due to the wedding being in a week, they reviewed the dress and argued with me that she did not take in the top at all. The dress could no longer zip up, and when I told her it could when I brought it in, she instead told me that I must have gained a lot of weight, and double downed on it when I told her that was not the case. I was shocked, and said I did not care if she thought I was fat, but as long as the dress zipped back up I would be fine. She ripped some seams apart, and low and behold she did alter the top of the dress. Once she realized it was her fault, she ignored addressing the issue with me and was overly nice. She did fix the dresses, and I picked them up by the end of the day. They fit now... but I would not go back due to her behavior and insults. Why would I bring a dress to get taken in that never zipped up? Anyways good luck if you go here, they may mess up your dress tremendously and blame your weight for it, but they'll fix it by the end of the day. read more

I broke a pant hook and took it to A to Z. Now I am not an expert by any means on what type of hook to replace. One would think the seamstress would be the expert and make the recommendations. I gave them the pants and prepaid for the work and picked up the pants in one week thinking all was good. About 5 weeks later the "new" hook broke and my lovely wife took the pants in and the lady said that the work was not done there and they don't put those hooks on , basically telling my wife she was not telling the truth . They agreed to fix it and when I picked the pants up I notice it had the same type of hook that broke as before, the owner blamed it on her employee. I mentioned it to them and they said " let's see if it breaks again". Then they said I only paid $5 but I paid more like 15$. They refused to replace it with the correct hook. They did a good job with a dress I was wearing for a wedding but I felt like I couldn't get across what I wanted done. When I went to get it it needed to be changed. I was asked why I waited so long to come in, when I had called and asked when to come in numerous times. They kept saying it was a lot of work, and I said whatever you have to do is fine- I just want it to fit properly. I really didn't care how much it would cost because I wanted to look right. Eventually It looked Better, but it was frustrating. They staff is very pleasant and helpful though. I will return again. read more

Horrible experience. Took a dress to get altered and was told it would be $50. I then received a call the day before i was supposed to pick it up that it would be over $100. I then went into the store to find out why the sudden price jump and showed the owner the card with the initial price she gave me. She told me no alteration in Georgia would only be $50 and that i can take my dress somewhere else. read more

Last visit was great, 5 stars. This visit, not so good. The people were just as friendly, but with well over a week and two fittings ... they couldn't hem my daughter's prom dress properly. She tripped on her dress or had to carry the front bunched in her hand, even after the alteration. I gave three stars because the people are nice and the owner had an emergency in the family and had to leave town. But the two assistants who remained did not have the ability to alter my daughter's prom dress properly. The prom was a success ... but not as carefree as one would have liked. read more

Extremely rude and unprofessional owner of the store. Over charged for simple repair.

Visited for the first time today. The owner was very friendly and definitely appeared to know her stuff. We were bringing in two pairs of pants for my 10 year old daughter and a button-up long sleeve shirt for me. The pants need to have the waist taken in and my shirt needed to shrink around the torso. She had my daughter put the pants on so that she could mark them and she had me put on my shirt. She marked my daughter's pants and was very nice and patient with her. She thoroughly examined my shirt and pointed out all of the reasons why it would not be a good idea to take in the torso of the shirt. She was willing to do it, but advised against it. I was very pleased with the fact that she was willing to do the work, but was candid with me in her opinion of the results. I will report back once we have my daughter's pants in hand.
