I've only had their buffet, but it's always been great. It's always hot and fresh. The tandoori chicken is awesome every time time. I'm not a desert person, but everyone I've gone with loves them. I personally love their naan (pita bread), daal (lentils), butter chicken (chicken in a tomato cream sauce), and of course the mango lassi (sweet mango shake). This was an ok lunch buffet, but for the same price, I'd rather get the amazing food at Saffron instead! There are about 6 options on the buffet besides the rice. The tandoori chicken is good, but I wasn't a fan of the curry chicken. The veggies are fine- standard Indian veggies. My favorite was some kind of chicken in a creamy orange-colored sauce. The rice pudding was watery. The restaurant is very small, and the tables are very close together. The decor is sparse. The buffet is labeled with hand-written signs taped onto it. It took a long time for the waiter to bring us our water and then our bills at the end, even though it wasn't crowded. Most disappointing was the pricing: my sons, ages 6 and 8, were with me, and they were charged the full price. I don't think I've ever been to a buffet where kids pay the same as adults, and in this case, it definitely wasn't worth it! So, if you are craving Indian food, I suggest you head over to Saffron instead. read more

My fiance and I like to go here every so often. It's a casual place, nothing like Saffron, if you've ever been. For the most part we've liked what we've tried. The lamb vindaloo is my favorite. Although, you only get maybe 6 chunks of lamb. They also have a naan basket that is really tasty, the garlic is a standout. I would suggest not getting anything chicken. We've gotten a few chicken dishes from here, and been disappointed. It has to be frozen chicken, it's perfectly square pieces, very strange texture, not enjoyable. Pretty sure they use a different kind of chicken for the Tandoori, because we've tried a couple of those, and they tasted fine. The staff is always friendly, and on top of servicing you. Out of all the times we've gone, there was only one time that there's been more than maybe 3 other people besides us. We ordered takeout once, and as with most places, it wasn't as good as dining in. Interesting place to eat. First went when it opened and my friends and I all got different things. It was flavorful, though my butter chicken curry was slightly watery and mild. Service was okay, there was no wait. My only concern was their water. It tasted like pure garlic. I LOVE garlic and would have drank it, but my only concern was that it wasn't actually garlic. My wife and I came during their dinner hours so I can't tell you how their buffet is, but dinner is wonderful. Portion sizes are very ample, great to share with the table! We got the shrimp biryani and lamb curry. The shrimp biryani could have fed 3 people easy, and had a wonderful spice that hit the spot! The curry was well-made and delicious like a curry should be. We also got the bread basket, which had a surprising amount of naan in it! They were swamped on a Sunday evening. So much so they actually called another waitress in from home. The wait was really long but there were a lot of extenuating circumstances in that. But the staff constantly made sure we were doing well and that we had what they could give us. Their food made me vomit tonight not long after eating it. The main dish didn't taste very good. There was no sauce for the samosas. I hardly got any rice. It was a GrubHub order and wasn't on time, so I called the restaurant. Their worker isn't very informed. She insisted that they do not accept GrubHub orders. I was so confused. It was a Sunday night, and we were there for dinner. From the moment we walked through the door, we could tell it would be a great experience. The restaurant was packed, and the smells that wafted through the kitchen were mouth watering. We did have to wait, but only because there was so many people already in the cozy space. Once we were seated, the server came over to apologize for our wait (which may have been around 20 minutes), and she explained that one of the employees had been injured, which was why things seemed to be moving slowly. I really appreciated this, as it made it apparent that the staff was truly doing their best and cared about our experience. She introduced herself as Reggie, and proceeded to take our orders. She was incredibly knowledgeable, and happily answered all of our questions. Once our orders were placed, it was a second before our drinks were brought to the table. The only thing missing was my Punjabi Masala Chai Tea, which Reggie explained was made fresh in house, no mixes used! I was incredibly impressed, and when she brought it out a couple of minutes later, was delighted by not only the portion size, but the taste. It was without a doubt the best Chai I have ever had! We ordered an assorted bread basket, lamb curry, and a shrimp biryani. The food arrived promptly, given the packed status of the restaurant, and the portion sizes were huge! We had expected one basket of naan with a variety, but instead received a basket of each type of naan! It was steaming, fresh, and incredibly delicious! There was so much food, that my husband and I both had plenty for lunch the next day. Then we were surprised by a free dessert, brought out by the owner! Over all, this was an excellent experience. The staff was friendly, and kept us in the loop. The food was absolutely amazing, the perfect blend of flavors. Probably the worst Indian food I've ever had. I ordered take out at this joint on a whim because my go to in town, Saffron, was closed for a private event. The lamb vindaloo was lacking in flavor and had a very small amout of lamb and potatoes. It was basically a $14 tub of poorly executed vindaloo sauce that tasted more like spicy tomato bisque. We came here based on a recommendation from a "foodie" friend and it did not disappoint. We were extra hungry so we tried a number of dishes. The vindaloo lamb was savory and spicy with tender lamb that could only be described as cooked to perfection. The chilli chicken was a delight and the samosas with chickpeas will be a regular appetizer. The papadoms had excellent flavor, but it can't beat the chutney from another downtown establishment. This was an ok lunch buffet. Had the ubiquitous indian items. Papadums were stale.What really made the difference was that I had called to see what they had and when they had said eggplant fritters/pakoras i headed down. On the buffett line i saw the sign for the eggplant and potato fritters, but there were only potato, i told the waiter that i had called and asked, and that the sign by the pan said eggplant and potato but all i could see were potato. He went to ask the chef, and came back and said that chef said he would make eggplant when the potato runs out. What?!? I told him I had called, and that the sign says both. He went back again, this time, the chef seemed not too happy about being pestered. the server came back and said sorry, no eggplant, but chef would make me some alacarte for an extra charge. I told him no thanks and that for a new restaurant they should be working on their customer service and customer base. It wasn't the server's fault, it seemed the owner was sitting in the corner booth and when he heard what was happening, he didn't approach our table or try to right their mistake. My family and I went here a couple of days ago. The food was nice but I feel it was over priced. All the main dishes came with the side of rice which should be a choice between rice or naan since not all the dishes taste great with rice, like butter chicken or dal makhani. The one thing that was a REAL disappointment was the gulab jamun... unfortunately it was the worst I've ever had.
