It has a nice atmosphere and the staff are chatty and welcoming and always remember you when you go back, and they play authentic indian music in the background. The food is amazing. Everything on the menu has the right combination of spices, so when you order a mild, unlike other restaurants I have been to, it actually Is mild. Likewise, the hot dishes ARE hot. I had the chef special "Honey Chicken", which is a very sweet mild dish, and a Chicken Pathia, which is a sweet and sour hot spiced dish. I like coconut rice with my mains (yea, I have a sweet tooth) and although they do not have it on the menu, they are always more than happy to make it for me. My partner had Chicken Tikka, and egg rice. We both shared a peshwari naan. Whilst you wait for your food, they offer reasonably lush popadoms and a selection of home made condiments. The food was cooked perfectly, and presented on hotplates in the centre of the table each in individual dishes, so in essence everyone around the table can share your chosen dish if you wish. They do have a starter and a desert, but we being dieters usually skip these, so I cannot comment, but I trust that it is as good as the mains. The price is a little high. 4 popadoms, 3 mains (bare in mind, one being a special), 2 rice dishes, 1 naan and 2 diet colas came to about £48.30 for both of us. Naturally, they offer you a complementary mint when you pay the bill, and occasionally tempt you with a complementary shot of baileys or a coffee for you journey home, which is nice. Although not all the time (I think it depends on the host you have on the evening) Despite the cost, I cannot stress enough on the quality of this place and if you are ever in the area you must try it at least once. They have just introduced a loyalty card scheme, that entitles you to a discount on booking.

I'm convinces there are no accoustic panels in there and they are desperately needed.
