Culver's Bacon deluxe and Pretzel Bites
    M N.

This fast-food chain is a nice little chain to visit. The burgers are decent here, if you're into smash burgers, this would be a good fit, I like the little crispy ends. But of course, what won me over were the frozen custards, creamy, and their fish, cod-y. Either way you can enjoy it by itself or what I like a little better, the sandwich. Perfect crisp outside and a flakey soft middle and piping hot. My favorite side though, pretzel bites. Perfect bites and always accompanied by its best friend, cheese. I'm telling you this place can get busy, but since it's in a sort of plaza, I'm sure you can borrow some spaces if need be. I've been here with and without a long car line. The car line can be a wait, but in the end, I got through it and had a hot dinner. There's a large menu at these locations, so many choices for different buds. They don't have a Culver's where I'm from, so it's nice visiting this place once and a while.

I hope the manager sees this.

The food would have been delicious if I didn't have to wait on a portion of my order. I ordered the 6 piece jumbo shrimp, onion rings, and a drink. Instead of my onion rings I got french fries. I told the staff that brought our food to our table that I had ordered onion rings and I didn't like French fries. He said he would get me onion rings. After 15 minutes I went to the counter and asked about my onion rings. The lady told me they had to fry them and would bring them to my table. After another 20 minutes I went and asked about my onion rings. They were sitting under the heat lamps. I told them my other food was cold now, but they just handed me my onion rings and walked away. I was really looking forward to the meal I ordered, but instead I was disappointed.

They have the best customer service! When I brought my food out to my car, I ended up spilling my shake on my seat. I took a picture and showed it to them and they remade it for me and said they felt bad! They were all super understanding and nice about it! I love Culver's as a business already and this just made my experience better! The pumpkin spice shake is amazing! Definitely go and try it!

Used Yelp search to find a restaurant as we passing thru Terre Haute(on I70) and found The…read moreTerminal Public House. Looked at several of the reviews and knew it was a place to visit. The building itself is over a 100 years old and is on the National Register of Historic Places, this helps its cool vibe. We came in at 12:30 on a December Thursday, it was absolutely packed, what appeared to be multiple team/holiday gatherings. We were told a 20 minute wait, but we eventually were able to find a seat at the bar in less time. With as busy as it was, I was concerned food coming out may be impacted, but it came out quick. Allie was our bar tender, she was very friendly and attentive, shout out to her. First I started with a local beer, wango tango. I would call it a hazy pale ale. It was perfect for me. Had grilled shishito peppers. It was my first time to ever eat one, I loved them. I enjoyed them better without the sauce, but the wasabi Mayo did provide a nice kick. I ate the fried wontons with the sauce. We shared the crab Rangoon flatbread. It did not disappoint, and had a healthy serving size. I would get it again and again! Then I went with a comfort food, fried bologna sandwich. It came with a side, but the sandwhich alone was enough. I added a close pic of the sandwich, it had two thick cut pieces of meat. Impressive. It came with melted cheese, that was a twist for me, but I wanted to try it the way it was on the menu first. I eventually added ketchup, lol. We now have a new place to stop as we're passing by on 70. If I lived closer, i definitely would be a regular!!!

It's dated in the best possible way: dim lighting, worn-in character, familiar faces, and that unmistakable local hangout atmosphere where regulars clearly outnumber first-timers. The highlight here is the Tweety Burger, and honestly, that's the reason to come. It reminded me immediately of the classic Midwest style you'd find at places like Minor-Dunn in Highland, Indiana. The patty is smashed thin and cooked flat on the grill, giving it those crispy edges and deep, savory flavor you only get from a well-seasoned griddle that's seen years of use. It tastes homemade--not engineered, not trendy, just a straightforward burger done right. You can tell they take their time with the food. Nothing feels rushed or mass-produced. The burger comes out hot, flavorful, and satisfying without trying to be gourmet or overcomplicated. No towering Instagram presentation--just a solid, honest burger that delivers exactly what you want from a local pub. Service matched the vibe perfectly. The staff were personable, welcoming, and genuinely friendly in that small-town way that makes you feel less like a customer and more like a guest stopping by a neighborhood spot. Charlie's isn't flashy. It's not modern. And if you're looking for upscale dining or trendy décor, this isn't the place. But if you want an authentic mom-and-pop tavern experience with a burger that locals clearly treat as a tradition, it's worth the stop. Best advice: stick with the Tweety Burger. Don't overthink the menu. Order it, enjoy the atmosphere, and experience a piece of local Terre Haute character. Not a destination restaurant--but absolutely a solid local classic you should try at least once.

It didn't take long for a server to say hello and get us our drinks. Food didn't take long. Mother in law like her fish and onion rings , she said they were good and not at all greasy. Husband liked his omelette and tater tots. I got the gravy and biscuits and a side of bacon. The gravy was good, not the best ever but good. The bacon was crispy and flavorful. Drinks were kept filled even though our server got slammed with a huge party that trickled in little by little. Prices were super reasonable, We'd do this again when in the area.

It's part college bar, part live music venue, part sports bar with golf simulators, and part wing/grill restaurant. The concept sounds fun on paper, but in practice it comes across dated and unfocused. The food was the biggest disappointment. I went in expecting solid bar food--nothing fancy, just reliable wings and fried staples. What arrived was inconsistent at best. Two wings were undercooked, and one wasn't even battered on one side. At first I assumed it was frozen food quality, but it honestly felt more like a lack of kitchen consistency and oversight. If you're hungry, the food is edible, but it's not something I'd go out of my way for. Service didn't help the experience. The bartender spent a noticeable amount of time sitting at a table socializing rather than checking on guests, which made the place feel inattentive despite not being overwhelmingly busy. The atmosphere clearly caters to the college crowd, and to be fair, I can see why students would enjoy it--drinks, music, and a casual hangout spot. It's probably not going out of business anytime soon because it fills that niche. But if you're expecting a polished sports bar, quality grill food, or a standout dining experience, this likely won't meet those expectations. After reading other reviews, the "hit or miss" reputation seems accurate. My recommendation: stop in for a beer first. If the vibe is good that night, stay. If not, cash out and move on. If wings are your goal, there are better options in town. Overall, not terrible--but definitely lackluster and not a destination spot.
