The Sussex location is a Culver's like any other in food and atmosphere, but where it stands out is the service. They really train the people who work here very well. I've been coming to this location for five years, and I'm continually impressed with the ownership the employees take in their service. Impressive for a fast (ish) food restaurant. We went here and waited over 30 minutes for our food. After waiting that long we would have thought we would have hot food. Nope. We got it cold. At that time my kids were beyond hungry and we did not have time to sit there and eat. We did not realize the food was cold until we were already gone. I called and spoke to the manager who said they would mail me a voucher. I called 3+ times to tell them I did not get the voucher in the mail. I would not recommend this place. read more

I've visited on multiple occasions at different times, the wait times are always incredibly long, the service is poor, the employees are rude, and whether I order food or custard, my order has been wrong every single time. This location is closest to my house, but I intentionally drive to further locations for better service. read more

Many sandwich choices and combinations, including veggie burgers, grilled cheese, fish and butter burgers. Sides include fries, tasty onion rings and really great cheese curds. Culver's is delicious but pretty pricey for fast food. Also, it's not exactly "fast" as there is always a wait. This makes your food fresher, but if you're in a big hurry, this is not the place to stop. The sundaes and concrete mixers are delicious. read more

I went to this culver's today at 5:09 pm and I had such a bad experience. The people working at the window were extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. The car in front of me wouldn't move up and when they did and I finally got to the window, the workers were just laughing and messing around. I handed them my card and I had to ASK for it back because they forgot. And I never even got my receipt! There were probably four people at the window and none of them remembered my card or receipt; and when I got my ice cream I noticed that they blended it WAY too long. Overall it was just terrible customer service and I do NOT want to go back there again! read more

Food is standard Culver's but service is lacking. Employees are visibly frustrated with a sigh and eye roll if they are inconvenienced. Has happened a few times and got a lecture today from one employee in the drive through. About 1 time out of 5 they give the wrong food in the drive through. read more

The last couple times we have been to this location (or really any location) the custard is melting out of control when they hand it to us. So when we went tonight I ordered a raspberry milkshake.. what I got was lukewarm raspberry milk... gross!!! I dont think we will be going back any time soon. If you are lucky enough to have Monica take your order, you are in for a treat. She's friendly, polite, quirky and just delightful. Does a great job, this is my second time in this week because of her. Had their burger with cheese curd side the other day. Good, not great burger. Curds were new to me, but tasty. Having buffalo chicken and the curds today. Chicken is a little spicy, wait for it, it builds. Overall a good pleasant lunch spot. An upgrade over most fast food spots. read more

Just moved from Rockford Il to Sussex Wi. At first, we were very impressed with the quality of the food and service. Often times, we went out of our way to dine here while making the many trips between Rockford and Sussex. It also seemed like the "gathering place" in all of Sussex. That all seems to have changed in the past few weeks. Twice in a row now, we have received poor service and incorrect food orders. Several weeks ago, our wait was so long that the ice tea only had three or four ice cubes, the Concrete Mixers were nearly all melted and when we got home, one of the food items was missing, and we were only given one napkin for three meals. When I was handed the Concrete Mixers, they fell and melted custard spilled all over the inside of my car. No offer to clean up or to remake the mixers. After calling the manager, he simply sent out coupons for two "baskets with an upgrade to mixers", not covering any clean-up costs. We decided to try our luck again this weekend and again, were very disappointed. After placing our order, our Sundae's were almost "shake" consistency, my wife received unsweetened tea with a few ice cubes instead of sweet tea with extra ice, the kid that brought our order just (literally) dumped the food bag in my lap, took the number and left. Then...when we got home, discovered one of the items was missing. Called the store and was simply told "ok, we'll send you a food coupon". Not sure at this point that we even want to try a third time. read more

My dance team went out for lunch here and the employees were very nice when we ordered. There is many girls on the team and all together we had 10 scoopie tokens and wanted to get a team prize. When we went to the counter the employee (her name is Barb) was very rude and would not let us speak. We talked to Monica and she was very nice and helped us with what we needed and we ended up getting a fun prize. 5 stars for Monica !! read more

This Culvers is great! Good management and nice kids working together to make sure you get exactly what you ordered, hot and fresh (or cold if you're there for the custard which is also great). Our family regularly orders the chicken family meals and of course the Butter Burgers and we've never had a complaint. Then of course is the custard...the sundaes and cones...the concrete mixers with all the choices of toppings...all fantastic. It's a hot spot around here after the softball games in the summer! I've always loved attending this Culvers and have done so for the past few years. HOWEVER, my experience here has gotten so much better through one of the workers they hired a couple months ago named Monica. Every time I go here and my kids see her working, they are delighted! She is honestly such a bright spot in this already sunny establishment. She is extremely friendly and is, in my opinion, a role model for what every employee should strive to be like. My kids are already bugging me to go back soon just so they can see Monica. Keep up the great work Culvers and hire some more like her! read more
