Using a plastic soup spoon for eating larger items showed I didn't know how to eat this particular popular Latin dish. I finally gave up and started using my hands to separate meat from excess fat and bone, and I have no idea how else you can eat the corn still on the cob without just picking it up. I was overwhelmingly surprised by aGM by the name of Mark. where most managers or GMS would make excuses he was open and honest and said that he already was on top of the problem. Not only explained it to me in detail.. But made it clear that the customers come first and that he was on top of the problem. I truly believed him from his tone in his manner that he was speaking to me.. I was not calling to replace my meal, but he did offer that I thought was very nice he ended the call in a professional but personal way. he is a reflection of his staff most of them I love this location this incident will not hoard me back on visiting it again But what it will do is make me want to come to the location even more due to the way that he treated me. I do think the other manager should have been a little bit more on top of that but I have a feeling she will be now from what he said. I called ahead specifically to place an order and make things easier, but the employee who answered the phone immediately told me to "order it online." I was driving at the time, so that wasn't an option. She then rushed me through the order and sounded like she couldn't wait to get me off the phone. When I asked when the order would be ready, she simply said, "Not very long." No actual time. Nothing useful. I asked if she needed my name for the order, and she said, "We'll figure it out when you get here." I also asked if I could provide payment information over the phone and was told, "Pay it when you get here." Since someone else was picking up the food for me, this created a completely unnecessary inconvenience. The entire reason I called ahead was to place the order, know when it would be ready, and have someone pick it up for me without having to stand around waiting. And then it got even worse. The person picking up my food arrived approximately 45 minutes after I placed the order and was told, "WE DON'T HAVE YOUR ORDER!!!" Are you kidding me? So I called ahead, placed the order, was given virtually no useful information, couldn't pay in advance, she wouldn't take my name for the order, and then 45 minutes later the person I sent to pick it up was told they didn't even have the order. That is an unbelievable failure in basic customer service and order management. At this point, I have to seriously question whether the employee even properly entered the order in the first place. If your system doesn't provide customers with a pickup time, doesn't allow payment over the phone, doesn't take a name for the order, and then can't even locate the order when someone arrives to pick it up, what exactly is the point of calling ahead? The employee's attitude from the very beginning made it seem like my business was an inconvenience. Unfortunately, the experience proved that impression was justified. Management needs to seriously address the way customers are being treated. Good food doesn't make up for terrible service, poor communication, and an order that apparently disappears into thin air. If this employee doesn't want to deal with customers, perhaps she should be moved to a position where she doesn't have to or just be fired! Because based on this experience, she certainly doesn't seem interested in helping them.
